  1. ECR's are GTS-t's and BCNR's are GTR's. Thats why you're having trouble
  2. Hey all, The guys in SAU-NSW have organised some awesome SAU gear. You can look at them at the following link... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=156571 There is everything from stubby holders to jackets... I've spoken to Goldzilla who is organising the sale, and have been told that we can get them here for an extra postage charge. I am trying to organise for all the postage to come to the same place and then distibute from there. This will mean that the postage is cheaper for everyone. I'm happy to organise this for everyone who is interested. If you are interested, PM me with your details as well as Goldzilla. This way we can keep track of who wants what. I'm happy for all the stuff to come to my place and then distribute from there to keep prices down. As long as everyone is happy with that. I won't be dealing with the money side of things and this is all going to the SAU-NSW account so just follow the details on the above link. P.S. Dan, if I should do anything different, or get some one else, eg a mod, to organise, please let me know
  3. PM sent If anyone else is looking for an R33 service manual, PM me and I'll give you details
  4. I didn't know hypertune made plenums for the rb25. I was under the impression they had ones for the rb26 only. Guess i will be checking that out at some point
  5. Look closly at the exhaust manifold. Looks like it came like that from the factory
  6. Thats cool Make sure you let us know what you did... and definately post up some before and after pics.
  7. Ever seen an NA RB26??? Yes thats right... RB26DE... check out the pic

    My R33

Nice R33... love the 400R front bar. The best mods are always the subtle, tastful ones that look as though the factory may have put it there... to the uneducated onlooker anyway
  9. Your interior looks awesome. I was thinking of also doing a white interior, but thought the contrast would be too much with the gmg. After seeing yours though, I really like it. How much did your interior cost, if you don't mind me asking?
  10. From memory the series III's are only '97 and '98 model GTR's, so I know those lights will be hard to find. Its what I'm looking at doing sometime down the track. To do the conversion you are looking at doing, I'd say that you'd hav to change the front quarters and the bonnet at a minimum. I'd say the front bumpers are the same. I'f they're not, it would be close enough not to notice. I'd say with this in mind you are looking at two options: 1. If you want your car to have a stock front end, try looking for someone wrecking their R33 series II. There are plenty of ppl around wrecking due to rear end damage. Try getting the stuff you need that way. 2. If you want aftermarket bonnet and front quarters, buy parts that are designed for series II's and fit them all with the lights. There are plenty of companies that make different quarters and bonnets. Have a look around. Or if you like you could do a combination of these two options eg. stock quarters from wreck, aftermarket bonnet Check this page out. They have bonnets and front quarters for series II's http://www.carmate.com/display_products.ph...TS%20Series%202
  11. Why do you want to do that conversion anyway? To much mucking around. Rather see if you can find some series III headlights. They are the same shape as the series I, so will be easy to fit and they have a projector headlight. Check out the pic
  12. I know that salemen will always try be your best friend. That is the whole purpose for writing this topic. I want to know if I can trust this guy or not. Perth is a small city with not a lot of good options when buying an import. That is the reason why we are looking to get a car from over east.
  13. Hey Guys, I have a friend who is looking to buy a car from Otoworld in Greenacre. He is getting it shipped over here to WA. We were just wondering if anyone has dealt with them before? He seems friendly and willing to convulge information, but when you are just talking over email or over the phone, you can never be certain. Just don't want to put down a lot of money and then get something dodgy happen. We have requested a RTA inspection and an MTA inspection which he's happy to do if he puts down a $1k deposit. Any info or prior experience would be great. Thanks guys
  14. I'd be interested... providing you're not charging over the top prices. More details
  15. Thanks... Yea, I love my car My gf thinks I'm obsessed tho lol So... when are we going to see some pics of yours??
  16. Doesn't anyone know about these gear boxes???
  17. I got an NA because it was my first sports car with a bit more power. My first two cars were just little run about types that were really cheap to get me through uni. Now that I have more money I wanted a nice car. I got the NA cause I didn't want a car that was more than I could handle. I want to do a turbo conversion later, but I'm very happy with my NA. Its reliable and cheap to run, and I feel I've become a better driver with it. Rather increase in stages rather than go for the whole hog and then lose it. You might think NA's are slow. Yea, maybe compared stock for stock with a GTSt, but they are not that slow. Just a few mods can get you up to similar power figures to the GTSt's with no lag
  18. I can beleive that... I'm a poor uni student and have still managed to put $2k into my car over the past year. When I graduate at the end of this year, I'm sure that figure is going to increase drastically. I have big plans
  19. Welcome to SAU. Have to agree... the info here is great. Hope you realise you've bought a hole in your wallet. Once you start modding, there's no stopping
  20. Oh, and for those of you that don't really now this engine... and where thinking... 'that engine looks east-west' therefore fwd... Its just the intake that looks like that. It is still rwd, and the engine is north-south facing
  21. This guy I know put a V8 into his s13. Check it out... He had since had a fibre glass bit made to cover the hole in the bonnet
  22. Hey guys... looking for some advice I'm doing a turbo conversion to my NA R33. Now I know most of you will say I should just sell mine and but a GTSt, but I don't want to do that. I like the idea of having a project, even if it will be more expensive in the long run I'm doing the while thing in stages. I want to make everything strong and safe before putting the DET in and going for the power figures. First I'm replacing the diff for a more suitable one, After that I want to change the gear box... At the moment I have an auto and want to do a manual conversion as part of the process. Now heres the catch... I wanted to put the 6 speed out of the R34 GTR into it. The problem is it costs a small fortune and is hard to find... Now... a friend of mine said that he once saw an R33 with a supra 6 speed box. I know these boxes are just about indestructable, so I thought it would be something to look into. What I need to know is, how hard will it be to fit this with an RB25DET and is there anything you guys think I should know. I will continue to research before making a final decision, but if this whole idea proves to be to hard/expensive, I'll just settle for a GTSt box. Thanks for your help
  23. This is something I've been looking into for a while... as I'm sure every skyline owner does lol I have a series I R33 gts (in desperate need for a turbo... amounst other stuff) First I'd buy a GTSt half-cut... and then RB25DET from half cut gets: Tomei 2.8 l stroker kit All internals are forged parts GReddy intake plenum FMIC Then the engine and gear box gets tranfered into my GTS, making it a GTSt After running in the engine Bigger turbo Bigger injecters Fuel rails K&N High flow panel filter a few other bits and pieces to make a really reliable 300 rwkw with plenty of torque Exterior Five stud conversion (damn 4 studs on NA models) AP racing brakes Koya Imagine Rims in shadow chrome 19x9's all round Tein adjustable suspension, street setup (dampers and ride height adjustable) Replace my 400R front bumper with another one made of FRP (get rid of those surface craks) Respary same factory GMG Get the GTR spoiler I just bought sprayed so I can fit it Interior Black leather for all seats and trim with dark blue stitching Dash surround replaced with black carbon suround Fix the small imperfections (roof pulling away, etc.) ICE Get another Alpine S-type 12" sub Bigger amp Custom install with one sub on each side and amp in middle of boot Keep the rest as is There is probably more, but this will do nicely for the moment
  24. Its something to do with the fans from memory. There is a post on here somewhere as well as a how to fix it tutorial. Not really worth fixing though. Its a whole dash out job. It causes no damage anyway.
