  1. Hey mate. I did make 220rwkw and it was still going over a year later. As nismoid has raised, I never did run it at the track but the 220 was very real. IE no tuner influence or funny air temps. It can be done, but just be aware that u are pushing the limit of turbo reliability. good luck, glenn i have a dyno graph but it wont let me upload.........
  2. hey mate, I had one of the plazmamann plenums on my car. It was a RB25 and i have a mate with one on a RB20. we saw good gains out of both and while i cant quote his power increase post manifold, i can tell u i picked up 20rwkw and some nice throttle response.......... here is my graph..... done on stock injectors and turbo too...... cheers gc

  4. Go see Rob @ Chiptorque. Knows PFC backwards and Chiptorque has both 2 an 4 wd dynos. Made 220RWKW out of my old line on standard turbo!!

  6. Hi guys, The time has come to part with my girl to facilitate a trip. 1996 Nissan R33 Manual RB25DET White with BLUE ICE PEARL RB25DET 118 xxx kms Apexi Power FC, tuned by Chiptorque. Currently making 220rwkw at 12.5 psi CES split dump Plazmaman Plenum Front mount with Full piping GFB bleed valve Apexi Air Filter PWR radiator Nismo twin plate clutch (not fitted) askin 13000. Can arrange viewing but unfortunately no pics. Owned by a mechanic and used to work at Chiptorque myself. Need to get overseas quite quickly so open to offers. Thanks Glenn

  9. Hey all you R32 guys! Just spoke to the sales manager at ChipTorque, Gold Coast. I was down there getting my mates 32 chipped and he told me that due to the lack of Apexi PFC atm they are doing ECU chips for $750 fully tuned. Normal price is $1100. I just thought for those in QLD that this may be a good option. Cheers Glenn
  10. The car will go lean under cruise ie vaccuum but should go rich under positive boost pressure...........look for black smoke gc
  11. Give chiptorque a try. Lachy and Rob have all the gear and they now have a 4wd dyno (for you GTR crowd). They really know their stuff with PFC and all the big names. Cheers

  14. Hi everyone, just experiencing some issues with an apexi boost controller. if there is someone out there a power fc and boost controller would they mind checking the voltage on the green signal wire out of the map sensor please. need help urgently!!! thanks glenn

  16. hey mate, few options here, what was the original reason the car was at ythe panel beaters? if it has takin a hit you may be looking at things like a smashed afm, leaking cooler pipes etc. option two is if they have washed the engine bay down after work and the plugs now have water in them. start by checking things like plugs and that the afm is actually plugged in. the excissive black smoke says the engine doesnt know how much air is entering or that it isnt being ignited in the cylinder. see how you go gc

  18. i am currently making 220rwkw with standard injectors, 12psi and just a walboro intank fitted. only ever seen 82% d/c. plenty of fuel there
  19. just ensure you have the coolant / water mix in the correct ratio as i have seen a few cars running to much coolant become excessivley hot at my work.......just keep in mind!
  20. i did the plazmaman swap about 3 months ago from a basic mods 33 (pfc front mount exhaust and 12psi) making 202.3rwkw to 220rwkw with the plenum. i put it on at this stage to save time and money later. didnt think id get that much out of it but hey it was a nice surprise. glenn
  21. an easy way to see if it is leaking is to get a mate to cover the exhuast tip and seal it up with a rag over his hand. do it when cold to prevent burning him. this will so if there is a leak and where it is. go under the car and feel with your hand around all joints and connections. you ll feel if it is leaking

Okay, you are in the ball park on the bov answer. a wastegate is used to control the set level of boost in the turbochager. it is either internally (inside the exhaust side of the turbo) or externally mounted on the exhaust manifold. they both do te same job. when the turbo is driven by the exhaust gas it speeds the exhaust wheel, also driving the compressor wheel, therefore creating boosted air. when the turbo reaches the desired set boost level - controlled by the actuator, the wastegate is opened, allowing air to bypass the exhaust wheel and therefore controlling the speed of the turbocharger. not the worlds most clear explanation but ..........
  23. hi, just checking if anyone has had any tacho concerns on r33s. the tacho just does what it wants, no matter what engine is doing. car runs pfc and rpms are correct on lcd screen and verified on dyno. the problem is in cluster or wiring connectors. has anyone had anything similair? glenn
