  1. i prefer to do the work myself as its educational, i can learn more about my car aswell as know that im doing a reliable job.. i took my r33 to a mechanic in fyshwick to get a cracked exhaust manifold off when i first bought my car.. he snapped 3 studs inside the head, which is fair enough as they were old and worn.. the thing that got to me the most, was that when he attempted to drill them out, he drilled through the head which resulted in me having oil leaks from the head.. had to call a thread specialist to fix the problem.. after this i started doing all the work myself, and have learned a great deal about my car.. cant trust another mechanic again..
  2. spotted a white 33 at jerra carpark on monday nite for poker nite.. anyone from here go?
  3. SAFC II doesnt get rid of it.. i have one and it still cuts out at around 16psi..
  4. its illegal to have a POD in NSW.. i have an engineers report for my car, and my engineer told me i had to take off the POD and put in a stock filter before he could engineer it..
  5. anyone know a chick that drives a silver R33? spotted it goin towards woden from fyshwick this arvo and also spotted a black R33 at airport servo with SAU sticker on the back..
  6. or just get a custom titanium belt/chain made up to drive the freewheel.. the idea is too complicated though.. as said before/above, just install a supercharger..
  7. i have left the metal brace clean, this does not affect the coilpack, but if you are soaking them you might aswell soak the whole coilpack..
  8. it depends on what gauge you got, its normal.. mine bounces back and forth aswell at idle aswell..
  9. are you supposed to disconnect the fuel pump before doing a compression test? or just unplug the coil loom from the igintor pack?
  10. have a look on the other side for the split/crack.. also, safest cleaner would be CRC carby cleaner for this kinda thing..
  11. regap ur spark plugs as mentioned above and seal ur coil packs..

  13. oh well, went n saw no one.. where does everyone usually hang out? i went around the back at the deliveries dock?
  14. so the BP levels have no affect with the dyno results, as they enter these into the dyno, but the temperatures surely must, as in winter my car goes harder due to the colder air outside, whereas in summer there is a deffinate power decrease.. anyone recommend dry-ice intake setups?
  15. so i take it no one is goin out to museum tnite?
  16. 232rwkw with std afm, std ecu and safc II..

  18. agreed slither.. ive been refered to Pete, and i get all my dyno tuning done with him.. quality service for your money.. but some ppl on here (d0p3y) are doubting it, which is quite sad..
  19. ive got a similar leak, ive thought nothing of it.. i notice a little bit of oil every 3 months or so at the back of the cam covers, and wipe it off..
  20. A turbocharger helps at high altitudes, where the air is less dense. Normal engines will experience reduced power at high altitudes because for each stroke of the piston, the engine will get a smaller mass of air. A turbocharged engine may also have reduced power, but the reduction will be less dramatic because the thinner air is easier for the turbocharger to pump. So this statement is true?
  21. Just wondering if Barometric Pressure levels can affect dyno readings/results? If so, do dyno tuners take this into account and calculate the results against the BP levels?
  22. i saw ur 32 parked, but didnt see you?..
