  1. BOV...oh wait, that usually happend at idle..clean ur afm
  2. nice......
  3. as title says, im after a hi-flow for an r33gtst. pm me! cheers, anton
  4. it doesnt matter, the power fc will work on both
  5. or maybe 15's all night long. haha!
  6. nice power, afr between 11 and 12 which is good. but your running too high boost man! 14psi...your turbo aint gonna last long (in most cases). turn down the boost man and youll still be making good power. also you might wanna change your pump before anything else cos itll be close to maxing out at that power.
  7. put it this way, standard trubo rb25det's max power is around 210rkws. A lot of people with the same mods find their power varies between 190-210 rwks depending on a number of factors: dyno, condition of turbo, engine, etc etc. You say you made 196 kws. now you arent too sure on what turbo u used. if you say its has vg30 housing running 14psi is fine and on a rb20det that power figure sounds about rite, but remeber im only running 12 psi becuase its a standard turbo. Also its not just the max power thats important. Ive noticed more power across the entire rev-range.
  8. sorry dude, not too sure about the torque figure. But yeah, i know i need new tyres cos my bloody falkens spin like biatches.
  9. based on people's experience and the ease with which gcg bolt in, theres deftnetly the way to go
  10. yeh, you shud consider finishing off the exhuast. i found that the split dump made the turbo spool up a lot quicker.
  11. thanks mate no it was inside the bov itself. just inside the trumpet, there was a little black thing, so he pulled it off and it was just a rubber seal. i cant tell you nemore, but yeh after that it was fine. i remember before that, i was only starting to build boost at 3000rpm and full boost by 4000. now its boosting in the low-mid 2000rpm and close to full boost somwhere around 3000-3500 rpm. Yeh top end feels better, but mid-range grunt is more surprising.
  12. ecu sold pending payment, fuel pump still for sale
  13. ive got a standard r33 gts-t fuel pump as well for 30 bux or 70 for both.
  14. now to WSID next week to try n get some low 13's!
  15. the front mount itself wont give u much in perfromance, it will only let u run higher boost. you could buy a cheap bleed valve off the forums or an ebc for about 300-400 bux from nengun. as for the front mount it should set u back about 500 bux for a decent kit from justjap. its not that hard to put in but if u were after someone, itd be about 200-300 bux id say. the ebc mite cost u a bit to put in as well, maybe a cuppla hundred. u gotta search around man.
  16. he dusnt need a fuel reg with those mild mods..maybe a fuel pump if it leaning out
  17. boost controller, either bleed valve or Electronic and a Front mount intercooler or if u wanna save money buy a second hand GT-T intercooler if u dont plan to run too much boost. if you have money left over run it on the dyno and see what your power output is and if ur a/f ratios' are rich, buy a safc to lean them out or better yet, safe for a power fc
  18. i didnt actually do it, hitman at penrith did it, but from the looks af things, it was just a broken seal!
  19. Finally got my car tuned properly after i found the problem...it was nothing but a leak in my BOV. Before the problem the car was making 175 rwks. after we fixed it, it made 205 kws and once 207rwks. Picked up 30kws cos of that little problem. Thought it mite have been a block cat so i took that off, it wasnt it. Checked the afm, wasnt it. checked if one the blades had come off the turbo and it wasnt it. checked the lines on the boost controller. finally checked the bloody BOV. Car: 1993 r33 gts-t Mods: FMIC, BOV, blitz EBC, pod, slpit dump/front pipe, high flow metal body cat, Cat back exhuast, power FC and walbro 500hp fuel pump. tuned at just under 12psi.
  20. hitman aint pricey dude. he is such a helpful tuner and from my experience he went out of his way to find the problem in my car when he tuned my power fc. unigroup are good as well
  21. no im not his mate. i jus think that if you dont agree with him or think its stupid, jus dont comment, instead of making someone feel bad for his lack of knowledge or his opinion
