Simple answers to that, The R33 GTSt and F6 drivers couldn't drive for shit . My 300ZX has beaten several NA supra's by quite a bit and in all honesty there is no chance of either of them beating an FPV, he was most likely humouring the supra and the r33 gtst couldnt drive for shit.

Pulsars aren't all that spectacular, a mates pulsar has exhaust,extractors,cams,NIStune, light rims, l/w flywheel, hd clutch and my car and a mates commodore are still a lot quicker then his. I know for a fact that a 25DE R33 with catback and pod can edge out a stock VX V6. Peak HP and power/weight ratio aren't everything, gearing & torque are IMO more important and then the driver comes into play.....hell i know people with WRX's that wouldnt be able to beat an excel from how shit they drive.

A verada would be quicker then an N/A line anyway. Honestly if you're buying a car to "beat other cars" an N/A Skyline shouldn't be your choice.

The GT3582R in my dads old R33 had a 1.06 rear and was on full boost by 4500rpm, can't for the life of me remember how much boost but i think it was in the 21-23psi range

Yes, that's my mate that put his GTS25 minus T on the dyno. Needed to rev its guts off to even take off without stalling, no point in having a "cool skyline" when an excel leaves you almost 2 cars behind.

My cousins R33 runs 16psi all day, although his car is tuned VERY well (knock below 20 at all times) the car isnt making anymore power then at 13psi.....maybe 3-4rwkw. Now ask yourself if its worth replacing your turbo sooner for those few kw.

In sydney, aslong as the car isn't turbocharged its legal. Doesn't matter what its registered as, my mate went through the same process and he wasn't hassled for it....still registered as a GTS25t.

The main reason people use % figures are so they can over-inflate their flywheel HP for bragging rights. Hell i've had one monkey try and tell me that all cars lose the same amount of power through the gearbox, manual/auto/skyline/commodore/300zx. When, for fun, i asked him how much he thinks my car is making at the flywheel he says "oh around 150" because he thinks all cars lose 20kw or some such bullshit. Hmm lets see, 300ZX NA's make 120rwkw when freshly rebuilt with good compression, thats at 165kw atf. One that hasn't been rebuilt will normally see about 110rwkw which is about right for wear and tear which would bring it down to 155kw atf roughly. Mine makes 131.4rwkw so taking into account that 45kw loss i'd be making 176.4kw atf, which isn't correct as i also have an Underdrive crank pulley which reduces powerloss through all the accessories from memory it added 7rwkw on the dyno, so: 131.4+45-7=169.4kw atf which i think sounds correct.

R34 is about 147kw. Don't take hp numbers as a guarantee you'd beat another car, power to weight, gearing & torque all play a bigger part then peak hp.

Guys you also need a helmet to race, forgot to mention that. I also don't want any trouble makers coming along, so if anyone has a friend/cousin/pet monkey that is likely to cause trouble(seen it before "my car is faster hurr durr") then don't bring them along.
