  1. POST OF THE YEAR!
  2. Nissan VH41DE... will give you your power output out of the box, its still NA, sounds beautiful, about the same weight or less than an RB(VH is an alloy engine)... and the conversion should leave change from $5K
  3. 6 Pack of Wild the sphincter of the universe would be fine If its as straight forward as it should be, about 45min... if its a PITA, a few hours. I assume you would want the lcd screens picture to be coming from the iPod? So the sound stays hooked up as normal(to the stock deck)? If this is the case, should be piece of piss, give me a PM to sort out when you want it done
  4. I've got most from 55 onwards... including GTR special #1
  5. This is in addition to your normal stereo deck right? If a shop charges more than $60, they are ripping you off. Should be able to tap into the lines powering your head unit(HU), and assuming it has audio out(HU has audio in), connect that via AV leads to the HU. If audio shops start giving you the run around, I can probably install it for you.
  6. The MFD (digital display) will run in any car, its just a glorified meter, it only needs the right sensors hooked up. I've had one running in my 32R. I was thinking the plugs, with an adapter would do the trick, but if there is a solution for the 34R ecu, then thats the way to go.
  7. Id find out what it costs to rebuild them before looking at the second hand option. Id buy them new personally, and I probably will very soon
  8. Those turbos are good are upgrades for MX6s... thats about it. RB25 turbos are the better upgrade option for the RB20 (price & ease of install)
  9. I agree with Adriano on this one, many ppl swear by the standard manifolds with a little work. I think you need to work out your power goals, you sad you don't want massive power, but your talking disco potatoes x2... single dp turbos make pretty potent power, let alone two of the suckers. If you end up sticking with the stock manifolds, Id look at the HKS turbo kits like the GTSS, which are bolt and have all fittings, gaskets etc(unlike their Garret counterparts).
  10. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Pr...tml&hl=rb24 Hope that is of some use to you I think the rb24 could potentially be a great engine, especially for those trying to fit into a specific class for racing etc. There are ppl out there with built rb20s that are more than happy with the results, so I can on see the rb24 being a great thing... but personally I'd be putting a '30 bottom end to my 26 for the money.
  11. There was a big thread about a year ago by someone doing the rb24 combo, ill see if I can find it...
  12. Thought they would be the same, good to know for future purchases
  13. Just to add to that, you can use a 32R ecu on a 33R, but I'm unsure if the same is true for the R34. Would be worth finding out.
  14. I'd hit it
  15. Agreed, I keep my 32 very understated, therefore, in my definition, not rice. Commodore with 20" Chrystal Vaults & neons = rice
  16. I hope my car bay looks half as good & well planned as this when I'm *finished *cars are never finished,
  17. Might wanna make sure your new wheels are balanced tho. Its possible the wider rim might affect camber, but it'd be minimal. For the fck all it costs, id do it if you can.
  18. I seen his collection b4, its great, highlights were the 'jet bike' and steam powered car. ps. I personally refuse to pronounce it "KNEESAN"
  19. Flasher relays are load based(9/10 anyway), so if the globes are of a lower wattage (dimmer light, or LED based) it will flash quicker. If a lights are running, either mess about with resistors, or spend a couple of dollars on the right wattage globes.

    A Duck

    *cough* *cough*
  21. Ah a woman with good taste in cars, rare commodity... shame its a 33 tho, but I won't hold it against you.... Welcome
  22. Great car mate, whatever label you or others want to(or not) give it. Any R33 of such a high standard should be something to be proud of
  23. If you insist on putting 6x9s in, JB HIFI/Alberts/Westside etc will sell spacers for about $20. Its either that or cut the parcel shelf. Personally, I put 6.5 coaxials (same as 6x9, but round) in mine to get around using spacers. I installed all my own audio gear, so if you want a hand, Im usually free sunday arvo (if your in Perth?? and not Kalgoorlie )
  24. RB sounding like WRX = running on 5 or less cylinders. Turbo should be fine, as I don't think it effects idle... more likely gasket on intake plenum gone bad, or coilpack/dead plug/sparkplug loom problem in one or more cylinders. But I agree with Mike, don't drive it if its acting that erratic.
