  2. i come from perth and i have a r30 hatch l20et, its white auto and has power everything. it also says turbo in big letters down the sides of the doors.
  3. i had a similar pro b with my l20et when i got it all i did was used my tig to build up the stud untill i ca just wind it out with a set of multigrips. i have also used the mig to do the same but its a little harder you have to make sure you get peno with the first bead. if you dont have a welder a easy out is your best bet but its a bugger of a job... good luck.
  4. sweet cheers 4 the reply... the reason i am looking at injectors is one of mine has a crack in the body an dis weeping, not long and i willhave a fire lol. if i get a set of e15et vg30et l28et or a 7m do ihave to change my ecu? are they the correct impedance? can i put em in and adjust the afm? thanks Blake
  5. hi guys i have cruse controll on the r 30 but i dont know where to hook up the vac lines off the comprossor thingo?? can anyone please send a photo or tell me what has to hook to what..
  6. cheers 4 the reply so i have to use a l28 ecu if i use e15 injectors as well? why dont they run a dropping resistor like a l24? my injectors are fine but number 5 is weeping from a crack in the housing and i need to find a replacement.
  7. i also should add i have a set of l24 injectors (but i think they r too small) can any one sudgest any injecotrs other than e15et and vg30et?

  10. hi guys i have 3 gtrs with big single turbo's black line racing gtr with a hks 2.8kit and its running a hks to4r a wiite r32 gtr with a trust 2.7 kit and a hks t45s a black r32 with a hks 2.8kit and a t8834d they run injectors ranging from 740cc up to 1000cc i would like some advice on aftermarket ecu's 4 em. my preferance at the mo is 4 power FC dejetro (spelling) but any advice would be helpfull. thanks Blake
  11. any of you guys swaped the steering box front end 4 a rack seutp? i am nearley ready to put my front end back and i am having no luck findoing out what is the go. i think r31 skyline must be close but the rack may be wrong 4 the r30 and make her bump steer.
  12. use a hammer and chisel. make notch in the nut then wack it undone! failing that use a pencil grinder to cut part of the nut away. best of luck!
  13. i just looked at my l24 head and its a n47is this as good as the n42? the l20et head is a 05L is this orig.
  14. so the r30 in the photo is beacon red? i have come to the conclusion that its going to be beacon...LOL i have a s110 gazelle in beacon ppg 2 pack and it looks good i was just worried what it would look like with black 2 tone.
  15. cheers 4 all the info i have a spare fj20et with loom and crossmamber in WA the car is in singleton NSW at the mo so i am not looking at huge power outputs, the car has to be nice to drive home. the reason ihave the motor out is that the front was wiped out and i have fitted a new front end from the fire wall forward. i have also fitted a complete set of seats from a r34 skyline. keeping this in mind would the n42 head from a l24 work ok with the patrol block and l20et inlet to make and nice driving donk. or should i just wack the l20et back in it (the motor is in good cond) and when i get home wack the effjay in it?
  16. cheers 4 the reply buddy the block is from a patrol and has .025 over size pistons and new bearings the only thing that concurns me is the bore thickness. i have no previous experiance with lseries 6es but when i look at number 6 down threw the main water port the bore has no (spelling) siamizing (crosshtach or ridges) so it would tend to crack or split easy, does the turbo or the inj block have thicker liners? i have a set of vg30et injectors coinsedsley. what should i get a head from? i know of a 280zx one. what inlet mani apart from a 28et is the best to use?l20et? i also discovered somthing usefull about the patrol l28, it uses a 240mm clutch (like a rb) as apposed to the 225mm on the l20turbo. what head gasket should i use? what cam should i use l20et or l28? thanks and sorry about all the questions.
  17. hi guys i have a l20et and i have just found a rebilt l28 short motor from a 83 patrol (it has a 240mm clutch) is this block suitable 4 turbo ? or are they week compared to a 280zx bolck? i am also wondering what head i should use? ihave the l20turbo one is this the best head? any advice on what combo's work well would be much appriciated.
  18. i have a short box in the r30 and i want to put the fj box back what tail shaft do i use ?? 240k?
  19. cheers 4 the reply, my prob is that my car was not red from the factory i think it was white. is it possible 4 one of the red and black/blue? dr30's to give me the numbers from the plate? thanks Blake
  20. hi guys do i use a r31 crossmember and associated bits ? or is it better to use a bird crossmember ? has any one done this swap? if so are there any pic's? thanks Blake
