  1. Hi guys, this has now sold - funnily enough to the first person who came to see it!
  2. I really need to get this car gone, I am dropping the price to $6000.00 > It is currently unregistered but I will supply with valid blueslip. There is no accident damage and the car is a clean and good example of a Series 2 R33 GTST. Shoot me an email or give me a call for further information or to arrange a viewing.
  3. I'm going to get some new photos up in the next few days. I am negotiable on price as I really need to get this moved out of my mother and father in law's driveway.
  4. Up for sale is my 1997 R33 GTS25t Skyline. It was imported from Japan in 2006 by Ben from Northshore Prestige in Balgowlah in Sydney and I have owned it for the past 5 years. I made the decision to keep the car stock as I did not have hundreds of thousands to invest in developing a track car and wanted to avoid making a super cheap auto special - the only mods are a tasteful HKS Priest dual muffler exhaust and a K&N panel filter. The majority of KM's are highway driving from Sydney to Mudgee and it was used for a daily commute between Bilgola Plateau and Frenchs Forest on the Northern Beaches so never driven daily in city traffic. I really don't want to sell but I have had a mortgage for the past year and we have made a decision (my wife) to downsize to a one car family. Details: White 1997 2 door Nissan Skyline Coupe for sale. 120,xxx KM 5 Speed Manual - gearbox in excellent condition. HKS Priest dual muffler exhaust. K&N air filter. Apexi SAFC2 - never tuned, but looks super cool. Standard 16" factory rims - with good tread. Stock suspension - Can go over speed bumps and driveways! Sony USB stereo. Interior is in A1 condition aside from a small tear in the right bolster of the drivers seat. Body is in good condition aside from dings due to being daily driven, parked in shopping centres etc. Always serviced every 5000KM using good quality Kendall oil. ALWAYS warmed up before being driven. New Daikin HD OEM clutch. New brakes. Never modified or raced running standard 5-7PSI boost. Daily driven reliable car - can easily get 600km per 60L on the highway The car is currently unregistered as I am not driving it but I have already got a blueslip - passed with no issues so is ready to go to the right home. The good stuff: I need this gone so am looking for an offer around $7000. I can be reached at [email protected] or my mobile 0413 528 114. I will upload some pictures once I have had a chance to give it a good wash.
  5. Crapple website Granted, its $40 but how much extra do you pay for the hardware? If you look at the SKU for any Retail PC, the OEM Windows licensing does not add much cost to the end product due to the scale of the purchasing (Like the Retravision effect). You cannot install OSX on anything other than a MAC, not legally anyway so their SKU is biased towards the margin on the hardware which is MASSIVE. For example, I called a large reputable Apple store to buy some spare parts for my Fiance's iBook (optical drive). I happen to know that the cost price of this part is around $30 (TSST slim DVD burner). So I call the service center to be told that they will not sell me spare parts. Now I get a little bit offended, I am an EMC ESF2 Certified Fiber Channel tech and have Microsoft, Commvault and vendor certifications coming out of the proverbial and do advanced hardware/software support for a large vendor supporting iSCSI, SAN, FC and High end quad socket server gear right? They refused to sell me a DVD drive. So I ask what the cost is if they fit it themselves.. ready for it? aprox $600. PLUS $250.00 PER HOUR to INSTALL THE F***ing thing. Where is the professional courtesy in that I ask? oh sorry I am not apple certified. So I can provision storage in a Petabyte storage system and then build and administrate an infrastructure supporting 1000's of users, but am not able to replace a DVD drive in a ****** Laptop??? Get F**Ked what a bunch of wankers
  6. I have been running 7 since the first good RC from MSDN - at least 3-4 months and have found it to be nothing short of awesome. On my media server box, it seems to respond much faster then Server 2008 or even 2003 R2. I am running on 2 systems: Dell Latitude E6400 notebook (7 RTM) P8400 Core 2 duo 2.26Ghz and 4GB RAM ASUS A8NE-SLI Deluxe with Athlon 4000+ and 2GB (Server 2008 R2 which is the server build of 7) PERC 5i Raid controller with 4 x 1TB drives in RAID5 and 4 x 73GB 10,000RPM SAS Drives in R10 And it runs like a freaking weapon on both. Of note the suspend and hibernate times on the notebook are excellent, way better than Vista and correctly configured, the CPU idles close to 0-1% so there is very little standby load which means awesome battery life. I am now getting about 5-7 hours on the E6400 with the extended battery and official Dell 7 Drivers. Unless you are a noob who wants a computing appliance that you pay a highly inflated price for, a 'Superior' computing device. Shit the OS is even based on BSD Unix which is free so they are ripping you off even more, charging for an open source OS. I agree they are nice, especially for older relatives who may be scared of computers but I just like to call then GAY.
  7. Hey mate, if you are on the Northern Beaches, go see Stewart at Monavale Automotive Engineering. I am having similar issues after having my 97 R33 S2 off the road for about 3 months as well.
  8. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=nissan+r34+gtt+specs This should assist
  9. Do you still have the boot lining available? I can pick up from Sydney
  10. I have an HKS Priest stainless cat-back system with 2 3" inch mufflers and it is quite quiet as well.. unless the engine is doing 6000RPM. The main thing for me is that is doesn't drone.
  11. Thanks heaps guys, I will check it out tonight once I get home from work. Cheers, Christian
  12. Like I said, I have not had too much of a chance to look at this yet. The mark is above the intake manifold towards the front of the engine, and looks like carbon deposits so it may not be mainfold leak. It sounds like it comes from the intake side of the engine - behind the instrument cluster.
  13. Hi Guys, I have an issue occurring on my fairly stock S2 R33 GTST Skyline. At full boost with the solenoid on the high setting (above 4500RPM) there is a squealing noise that comes from the intake side of the engine along with a black deposit on the inside of the bonnet, above the intake manifold. I am running the stock intake with SMIC and a K&N panel filter. I have not had too much of a chance to look at it as yet - has anyone seen something like this before? Cheers, Christian
  14. This argument started about what car is best on the street not the racetrack. On the street GTST wins hands down. It is much cheaper to run than the Supra and even GTR in terms of parts and fuel. It isnt about outright power anywhere but the dragstrip which is one place that I could not give a crap about. On the street, its about reliability and ease of use. Homologated race car (GTR and little brother GTST) are far superior to the Supra as they have racing development in their DNA. From the outset the Supra was designed to be an equal to the Chevrolet Corvette and in that is does a fantastic job, It has a great engine but that is about it. Stock for stock, for street use, I'd take an R33 GTST any day. Im sure the supra is a good car and goddamn they are fast and apparently reliable, but I have friends and I am able to take them in my car with me which I think is pretty cool. Try 5 standard sized aussie guys in a Supra, they will be pretty good friends by the end of the trip!
  15. Cant.. Hold.. back.. anymore... So what if you have 11ty billion RWKW and you can lap XX racetrack in 60 seconds. I drive my Skyline every day and its fairly stock. I have had it for years and I gotta tell you a few things - There is more to owning a car than how much power it can make for 5 minutes before you blow it up and run to mummy and daddy to buy you a new engine. Like how you can fit people in it. How comfortable it is cruising on the highway. How you wave at every Line that drives past you and they wave back. Most mechanics in Aus basically know the RB series of engine back to front. Parts are cheap. Oh and I get 500km+ per tank of fuel driving enthusiastically and 0 is the number of times I have blown up my engine. If you want to be bloody Paul Walker then go buy a WRX/CIVIC/Commodore/Silvia/Hero Car and get the hell off here. My 5c worth after 6 months of silence on SAU
  16. So I had a really crap day, and the little red light had been on for almost 100km. I stopped at my local servo and they had no 98RON Premium (Damn you Mobil). I filled up 10L of 95 RON Premium, just to get it to the next servo. Could this potentially cause any damage to my engine which is stock apart from a 3" HKS Catback and untuned SAFC2? (I have been careful to drive predominately off boost)
  17. I bought the Orange box on Sunday night off steam and am currently loading the TF2 beta which you can play right now. My mate has it running and it is seriously cool.
  18. Hey I think I saw you boosting it up Rodborough Rd a few weeks ago, I used to work in the Lexmark building. That is a nice 4 Door mate!
  19. Hey Guys, I recently moved to Allambie from Bilgola Plateau although I am always around Av and drive the white series 2 R33 GTST that has been shamelessly tattooed by Trent and Stan at Northern Beaches Performance. Its reasonably stock apart from an HKS Priest catback system and an SAFCII. We should organise a meet up, maybe at Palm Beach on a nice day in the next few weekends.
  20. Got my pics going up in the photos thread here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=181498. Thanks a lot everyone, we had a great time!
  21. Here are the photos that we got today (well the good ones anyway)
