  1. plug in standard computer, drive to tuner, get car on dyno, plug in wolf, hand key's and wallet to tuner. in all honesty i've got no idea. i know when i had a wolf done on my 32 gtr we built the maps from scratch.
  2. where are you located mate? and yeah like i said i have no experience with the v4. seems like it had a few bugs though. i'm running 600cc injectors and 264inlet 273 exhaust cams, i after a little fiddle with the tune i can report no problems in either cold start or hot start at all. hell it even idle's up when cold or when the aircon's going like a factory ecu. if it's tuned to do so. plus if you get it mapped like mine with mapping points ever 125rpm, the smoothness and throttle response is amazing.
  3. very few things beat the power fc in ease of tuning and install. however the power fc doesn't beat "proper ecu's" in the terms of results. and as far as features and cost i'd choose the wolf over anything in the haltec range right now.
  4. i can't comment on the v400, but the v500 is a great bit of gear
  5. my setup is here http://www.boostcruising.com/forums/index....p;hl=bloodzkull ending up running 470hp at the wheels. add into this a new cooler+piping. better exhaust manifolds (i'm running stockies) and a bigger exhaust. and you i would see over 500 easily. the main problem with this setup is the boost is set to 19psi, spikes to 22, then slowly comes back down to 19, the power starts to flatten out as soon as it the boost comes back down. so better boost control plus the mods above would see me over 500.
  6. ever driven or been in a gtr with with that much power. work your way up or it will bite you. mines running 470hp at the wheels, will spin all 4 in first and second with clutching it. and still starts, and drives almost like a standard car. i spend a whole day driving below 3000rpm easily. hell i've got positive boost by 2000rpm at full load. you'll be around 300kw at the wheels before major problems. perhaps try that for a while. what cars have you driven previous etc? i'll believe when i see it. rods maybe. not pistons, and not standard oiling systems. (at least on an early model r32
  7. lol i'm even further north side. at burpengary
  8. real quick. i'd say from oil problems, number one big end. my question is why do you want the t88. what power are you aiming for? it's probably going to end up a shit car on the street with that. also why such small cams?
  9. you could borrow mine. i'm in morayfield, but i'm over at lytton from 2-8 every weekday. don't suppose you wanna buy it. cheap
  10. can you mix and max. go 264 inlet and 272 exhaust. that's what i did with my gtr. real nice setup, i actaully didn't lose any down low. the new graph sit's on top of the old one til about 5500rpm then start to climb higher.
  11. where are you located.
  12. i'd be complaining. i'm running a wolf v500, much better then the standard ecu in terms of driveability. only thing the stock ecu did better was the cold start. but i blame that more on the car now having cams and bigger injectores. i average around 15ltr per 100km around town. in a 350kw gtr.
  13. if you've got an lsd just pull on the handbrake. should give enough friction to have it engage both wheels
  14. i really don't get the whole "ive got to put it in now and drive to the tuners on a map that might be very bad for" mentality. seriously just either get your tuner to do it for you or do it yourself when you get there
  15. mine runs pretty well with the stock radiator, been cleaned and everything though, actually did a a fair few dyno runs with the dyno fan off to test temps. after recently going through a rebuild, i agree with this. or look to one with a built motor.
  16. Item: 1992 r32 gtr Location: burpengary Item Condition: very good, motor has less the 5000km on it. paint could do with a buff, but pretty good. no dints at all. 134xxx genuine km's Reason for Selling: other projects Price and Payment Conditions: it's really an expression of interest, however i need a price so 40,000. make me an offer. i may be interested in swaps with cash my way, either for a motor bike (sports or cruiser, must be learner legal) or another jap car, no fwd though. 17. hmm. well if it includes a built motor then i can see cost's getting that high.
  18. i did the change. also went from a pfc to a wolf v500, with a much more in depth tune so i can't really coment on possible response loss, as i actually gained a lot of throttle response. only ill effect i noticed was a small increase in the amount of times the car cranked over before it started. like maybe half a second.
  19. i'm making 346kw(465hp) out of -5's. 19psi. i honestly believe it would push over 500 easy enough with non standard exhaust manifolds and a bigger exhaust, and some better piping. i'm on full boost by late 3's but making 6psi at 3 flat. very torquey setup considering it's still on 2.6ltr's. and a massive range of usable power. i'm sold on twins and don't take this the wrong way. but even with no driver and no fuel. i'll believe 700 when i see it.
  20. i'll agree with you there. as per the pm you sent me ive got -5's mostly stock pipeing and stock blow off valves. 346kw at the wheels and NO shuffle at all
  21. they do. can't remember how many bar it can handle, but i'm using the stock one with a peak of 22psi. so at least that. 2-3 bar i think.
  22. http://www.wolfems.com.au/ scroll down the front page. don't know if it's still on, but they where offering cheap upgrades to the wolf v500 if you have the v4.
  23. i'm thinking throw a gameboy at the head of power fc users no days anyway. seems like i've found something to spend my krudd bonus on.
  24. pretty much from scratch. most tuners that use them regularly will have a stockish map saved to load on, saves a lot of time enterting the values for the different sensers etc. the new models called wollf v500 too by the way
