  1. looks like i might finally get off my arse and join now lol
  2. price drop 1500. i won't go lower than this as. if i can't get this i'll just put them on my car. but i would prefer to sell them
  3. here's a pic of my lux not to long after i bought it. cost me $2500. has a modplated commodore v6 in it and no rust on in the chassis or body. well a little bit in the bottom of the door and guard that i ground out. but almost none. due to a tight budget with it i'm only going to put some decent tires on it for now (well after roadyworthy) but plans include front an rear lockers a winch and that trailgear lift kit, probably only 3-4 inches. then and airbag system for when i need to carry a load in the back. now if i had 10g straight up it'd already be running around with all that and probably a chopped rear tray for better departure angle.
  4. the real question is how much work can he do himself? i reckon 4wd's are easier to work on. for instance i do almost all the work on my old hilux but not much except the basics on my gtr. if he can do a bit himself then i would recomend an old hilux (ln65) if you look around you can find them cheapish sometimes even with the v6 commo motors in them. (i bought mine for 2000g) go here http://www.locktup4x4.com.au and order the front and rear lift kits (trailgear classic) get some cheapish diff locks and some good tires.should all come under 10000. and it will be a weapon. plus being a bit older truck you won't be worried about scratches and dints and shit.
  5. even though i own a gtr. and posted it in here. i do agree a gtr can never really be a sleeper. but hey i thought i'd do it anyway. though most people aren't expecting them to have as much go as they do. expecially the silly holden/ford drivers that think they are just shitty rice bangers. i can't remember where or who but i do remember reasing about a VL with a rb26 and all the attessa gear etc. depending on the exterior that could make for something interesting
  6. my gtr. it's all stock but looks a bit more aggressive due to being a gtr. of and they are old plates. only difference is different pods and no baby seat (not mine) oh and it was making 440hp atw. now the motors being rebuilt with the addition of some cams and maybe some more boost.
  7. if a major provider offered a higher octane at at least most of it's servo's i'd get my gtr tuned for it now. only reason i never got it tuned for the 100 octane stuff shell was selling is because only a few servo's did it. nearest one to me being a 20minute drive
  8. can i get a price too. also exactly what this kit inlcudes and anything else needed. my gtr should be back on the road mid/late january and i'd love the extra piece of mind
  9. price drop 1650. i need them gone soon
  10. oh yeah. very interesting for qualifying they would wind the boost up so between the qualifying lap and the race they where replacing the turbo.
  11. must be a wesfields thing. my local one has the same problem. my mums rio/my girlfriends pulsar all scrape and are all standard height. then they put a new section in and they are even worse. seen standard 300zx rock on the sill trying to get over one.
  12. here's one for you. who can remember the lap record holder pre caltex chase? and record that now can't be broken haha
  13. lol do what i did when the sr in my old sil80 was about to go bang. nothing was in good condition anyway so i held it in a 3rd gear burnout till it's stopped. didn't go out with a real bang either. put a hole in the block among other things though
  14. f**king great idea i reckon. will save many repairs. many shopping centers have speed humps that are just to tall. for instance i of a few that i wouldn't take my girlfriends pulsar over. and its standard 4wd height
  15. got some pics. excuse the quality it was done on my camera phone
  16. hmm might need to get of my arse and get joined up to sauqld. and i'd be in for sure. well as long as the gtr is on the road. which due to a few delays is gonna be early next year.
  17. someone must want some big brakes makeme an offer?
  18. as title says i have a front set of r33 gtr calipers and dba 5000 hatted rotors for sale. these are a great updgrade you silvia's 32/33 skylines etc. i'll get some pics up tomorrow hopeuflly. all in good condition, little bit of paint damage on the brakes from brake fluid dripping on them, rotors have slight surface rust, like that little bit you get after driving around on a muggy/ slightly rainy day. barely any. i'm at caboolture (north brisbane) and would prefer not to post but i will at buyers expense. either pm me or call me on 0458244605 anytime. price is 2000 neg.
  19. that's fair enough. i gotta ask though where are you?
  20. the though has crossed my mind. motors almost finished being built with spool rods cp pistons hks cams and cam gears hi octane sump plus other oil mods and a nismo supercopper mix clutch (comp version) what would you offer for it.
  21. yes i know the high octane sump is overkill. however he is saying the car is to be used for hillclimbs etc and being an r32 anything to help is a bonus in my eyes. however if you read my post i told him to follow sydney kids guide which includes solving the oil return problem. my r32 gtr is almost finished it's rebuild, a rebuild caused by no oil to no.1 bearing. 330rwkw and the sump was overfilled by 1ltr.
  22. gearbox diffs etc are pretty good. oil problems are the biggest problem of an rb26. search for sydney kids guide thingy and folllow it to the letter. then order one of these sumps with extended oil pickup http://hioctaneracing.com.au/eshop/product...products_id=972
