  2. well thats the whole idea if i can see if its been upgraded then ill do the 150km trip to the nearest dyno and get a proper tune etc hopefully LOL

  4. Morning everyone was just reading a few threads and one was stating that you cant tune a stock ECU so it got me thinking how do you actually tell if its been upgraded? My car when i bought had a new high rise ss manifold and turbo etc ive since done a fair bit of modifying or adding stuff to the motor like most of us do and never had a major problem with the car running its never been on a dyno it reves to about 7500 -8000 im pretty sure as i gave it a bootfull one night but couldnt keep my eye on the tacho due to the speed i was pulling LOL so haw can you tell if its been upgraded? PS ive done all my own work myself because im in the bush and most people around hear would charge an arm and a leg just to pop the bonnet

Hi there this is my setup everything went in really fast,piping ,fmic just had a prick of a time with the high mount manifold ,so i bought a few ss bends off ebay and made the rest myself this car really kicks as i live in the bush dont know what power it has never been dynoed a friend "reckons " it has well over 220rkw but guess only dyno results tell the real power
  6. hi there i just bought a NTK which on the box also states NJK o2 sensor from autobarn tweed heads (online i bought it ) for $148 delivered for my r32 fitted good works fine ,no complaints here couldnt find one anywhere else ,i just emailed them paid the money and 3-4 days later received it in the mail easy ! had same connection as im only a new r32 owner first time i hope i wasnt ripped off ? did i get a reasonable price ? anyone?

  8. hi there , just removed the master cylinder as i was told it might need a rebuild from our brake and steering workshop ,was leaking slightly but couldnt see where ,anyway after i took it off i noticed the rear seals were all nice and dry, but noticed inbetween the front outlet and the second outlet there was a hole that had been plugged up with some black silicon and seemed to be leaking from there , could any one tell me what this hole is for as now i dont see the point of a $200 rebuild if it is only leaking out of this hole what is it for? please help somebody <<<<<the brake and steering shop told me he didnt know what to do with it great ehh so called specialists!!!
  9. hi there guys , need a liitle direction the other day my r32 gtst decided to start miss firering wouldnt accelerate so putted it home , check a few things but everything looked fine ,started it up again and it just has a constant missfire bad on acceleration so thought it must be a coil pack gone so i pulled them out and took them to a auto elect to get them tested ,was told they couldnt test them properly unless they were under load ,anyway they did there best and told me that there was nothing wrong with the coil packs so now im lost , i live the bush and cant just drive it to a mechanic , the auto elect bloke ask if my r32 had a computer plug so he could plug in his thingy and check the diagnostics ,is there such a plug in a r32? or should i check something else before paying them to come out of town? please help guys !!!!!!
  10. thanks for all of your replies ,have a much clearer idea of how it should be done ,this wasnt my work just pached up to stop oil leaking ,will be concentrating on braided lines and remove the dodgey instal lines thanks again
  11. hi everyone ,attached is a picture of the dodgey oil feed line and adaptor ,the oil line is fine the adaptor is a made up one and i cannot seem to stop the oil leak from the top or the bottom return line (not pictured) its not a major oil leak but it drips onto the ss exhaust and puffs of smoke come out from under the bonnet after you turn the car off tried new gaskets heaps of times now im getting pissed off is there any other aftermarket fittings(adaptors)that i can buy to fix this problem, take into account that this picture was taken after i fixed it up so you can imagine how bad it was before i started please help worried about a fire so bought a fire ext. just in case
  12. oh right excellent being shit scared to boost it all day ,so in and out is bad up and down good ,ill be hitting 7500 tomorrow bloody vl overtook me on the way home i was only doing 80 didnt want to rev it out at all ,shit hope i see him tomorrow ! thanks craved you have made my day !!!
  13. pulled off my inlet pipe today to check things out as i have a minor oil leak from the feed or return pipe to the turbo not to sure,but its the larger of the two ,anyway ill fix that tomorrow but i thought id see how much end play the shaft had, now, not owning a turbo before but being a little mechanically minded i thought end play would be if you could move it back and forth a little ,or at all ,and it didnt, then i moved the shaft up and down and it moved not much but enough for me to think the bearing might be on the way out ,when i bought the car a few months back now ,the turbo plus high rise s/s manifold and 3" exhaust was all brand new so cant think why the shaft would be able to move up and down unless its supposed to , but to my thinking i reckon the bearing is fuc%#@ and if so would it cost much to get it replaced with new seals etc ,it still looks new so im stumped any ideas anyone?

  15. ok who can tell me if there is an advatage on where a BOV can be fitted most ive seen are just before intake manifold the fitting instructions tell me it can go anywhere after the compressor(turbo) and before throttle body ,seeing how i have a high rise exhaust manifold and the FMIC pipes where made around this the best spot i could locate was right at the front above the old intercooler piping holes about 8 inches from the turbo outlet would this be satisfactory? plus the vaccum pipe going to the pollution canister could run the BOV , who can advise me on this?

  17. is there any where i could get a diagram of these lines for a ext WG as i can see what you mean one goes to the inlet plenum which splits just before, to feed the boost gauge,( my car isnt currently running a boost controll er or a BOV) and the ohter one on the end has got a pipe on it yet (does have a sreamer pipe pipe running underneath the WG)as the pipes im talking about are 6mm rubber hoses
  18. could you tell me what sort of bov you bought as i just bought one off ebay and when it arrived didnt look like a fair dinkum one it is a supposedly hybrid supersonic bov and not to sure to fit it now or not
  19. hey who could tell me where these pipes are supposed to go ,the first one (by the way my car is running fine)is located on top of the WG and goes directly to the intake manifold but has a T piece just before it that goes to the boost gauge, which all seems fine , now the second fitting on the back of the WG has no pipe on it at all and seeing how im just about to put a BOV on the intake piping i was curious as to what this fitting on the WG is actually for ? also would fitting the BOV into the first line(for vaccum) to the intake affect anything ? who has done this ? help me please worried about fuc@##$ it up!
  20. smoke colour is bluey white only comes out ater its been run then turned off for a while then started then puff out it comes thats why i thought it mite be valve seals like oil getting into engine when warm then it gets burnt when started also in the last week or two ive notice black bits like soot on my back bar after given it a gut full on the way home from work

  22. hi there the image is just of my mate sticking his head in the way as i was fitting my FMIC ,as far as i know its only started to happen about 6 weeks ago ,it doesnt blow any smoke at all and runs good on start up when cold but after running for a while and i stop then hop back into car and start it up it doesnt want to start straight away when it does a puff of smoke comes out of the exhaust and thats it ,you can rev it up and get none ,it idles good and has full boost ,only owned the car for about 5 months if that really happy as its my first r32 but its only an auto but breaks traction in first three gears which i thought was bloody good so im bit concerned about this i dont drive it very hard at all as it has new tyres etc
  23. yeah i understand ,the top one on this goes to a T which splits it to the boost gauge and to the manifold the one on the rear of the WG doesnt have a pipe going anywhere just the fitting
