P.S. mind cost about 9000 ( thats, new king springs, konis adj front and rear, new slotted brake disks, racing pads from bendix, r32 half cut, hybrid intercooler kit) oh yeah and the price of the car as well.
i did the conversion into my r30, now the r30 had the l20et so if your car has the l28e then by all rights the engine bay and sterring arrangment shoud be much the same.
i went to the buy now tab thinking (pay by credit card)but no they will e-mail you with payment details once they get the order or reply from ebay. i got feed up and ended up sending them a money order for 720 postage and handling.
yeh i have, no problems at all once you send them the money. took a week from when i send the money to when i got the intercooler, if you want the hybrid 660 300 75 then its the best price at the moment. if you look at www.powerdigger.com.au then you will see what it normally sells for.
stupid question No 1 , whats the easiest way to tell if its lsd or not. my car should by all rights have a r200 but i think the last owner taxed it, the thing is is that when the back end is off the ground theres drive only through one wheel, but when i hand spin it on the passenger side both wheels spin but when spinning the drivers side thats the only one that spins????
i've just gone the swap for new gear my car is a little older though but for adjus konis front and rear with H/D king springs and whiteline sway bars front and rear all up it was 1800 fitted, it also included new race brake pads and fitting of new dba slotted rotors as well. now with a older car it is but everthing was there with in a week and installed within 1/2 a day. its like driving a brand new skyline.
i have a r31 which i can get both wheels spinning (linelock) but it doesn't have lsd this i carn't work out, i,ve been told its a common thing with the oz 31s', also does any one know where to get my hands on a r200 diff.
forget the last post and the link as i just remembered this webshots thing i did
http://community.webshots.com/photo/623154.../62432195ayWOwE
i'll have to see if the link works but this is the rim i'm looking for.
sorry it was a while ago i did these?
Rezz, if you follow the link 3 posts up they are very similar to the third set of rims down, other than size, the only difference is the one i'm looking for there are no gaps where the black centre part is connected to the crome outside.
thats the closest i can get to a picture at this point.
CHEERS matt
i did the swap just for the fun of pulling up next to one of the many r32's here on the coast then pulling away as i hit second just with light mods. power to weight does make a difference. you just have to look at the cost to power figure for your version as it can save money in the long run.
being that you are in japan is there any one you know of who has links to the AE86?? circle that may have info as thier site or links have been the most help i have found

sorry for the spelling had to wright fast as it logs me out if i take to long?? but its good to see someone talking about r30s' again, thier not that old are, they still have some style.
i've put a rb20det into my r30, there were a few troubles with the swap as the gearbox sits a little back so some cutting is needed to get it into place about 1/2 an ", then the brake master cylinder was swapped to let the engine fit for the r32 version the engine had to be lifted as i used the radiator from the r32 as well try to get the wiring diagram for the rb20 version you get as it is a great help. all in all i eaded up with a power figger 160?rwkw (with some standard changers) and a weight of 1100 odd kgs but mind is a two door thought.
