hey all thanks for sharing your experiences and so forth, but it didn't help settle my nerves about getting it looked at lol. The first appointment had to be cancelled because it needed a new windscreen for RWC, so i had it booked in for today and it went as good as i could've hoped. No dramas at all, a nice and very happy lady greeted me and inspected it, she just checked the vin/engine numbers, i even left the trust exhaust on there and it didn't even get a look at. i don't know why i was stressing im just fussy i guess, but when they said the appointment was to check the numbers and make sure it complies with ADR's it started to worry me. anyway im loving it and it's just starting to feel like mine but i suppose it should when you put $135 worth of petrol in it in 3 days lol.

Booked it in at Bundora... anyone had good or bad previous experiences with them? So can i simply replace the globes? And how would i remove the ebc? i don't want to take any chances.

Sounds good UnCo, which vicroads did you take it to? edit: can anyone recommend Carlton, Bundora or Broadmeadows Vic-roads?

Thankyou to all the well wishers... can't wait to pick it up. As for the xenons, is it a simple matter of just swapping out the globes for halogen ones???? I thought it would be more tricky than that, if thats the case then i can just swap them myself And with the blitz dsbc, if i just remove the control unit in the cabin and leave the rest(i.e. solenoids) hooked up, what will happen?? is that likely pass? also i won't to make an appointment asap so is there any vicroads branch i should avoid and any i should favour? thanks guys.

Back in September '08 my 32 was stolen, i have just bought her replacement. i don't think it's set in yet, but it probably won't until she's registered and I'm driving it. Its a 1998 R34 gt-t - 18" RAYS G-Games 99B wheels.... staggered fitment - Slotted RDA rotors + EBC Red Stuff pads - Trust Power Extreme 2 Exhaust - Trust Intake Pod - Blitz Dual SBC - Low King Springs - 3 point Alarm & immobiliser The only thing is, it's not registered in Victoria so I'll have to make an appointment to get it registered. At Vicroads they will check the vin/eng numbers etc. but they will also be checking to make sure its been complied correctly and meets ADR's. I'm just thinking will it pass with ebc, king springs and factory xneons... exhaust, wheels and airbox will be replaced with standard items.

i took a car for a test drove a few days ago and noticed that this part is missing in the bottom right corner of the photo, just curious to know what it is and if it should still be there, i think all rb25's have em because even r34's have it.. any ideas? i noticed while driving it when i got up to about 5k rpm it would sort of hesitate or not push as hard as i expected, i know this is normal but on stock boost? seller says coil packs are already ordered and on the way.. car also has pod, cooler and atmo bov also when i turned of the car, it still running due to turbo timer, it didn't idle steady it kept going up and down could this be due to the externally venting bov?

yep thats what i meant, sorry i didnt make it clearer I don't think i can wait another month and i have been looking at buying something a little cheaper so i'll still have money to play with. I came across an r33 for sale now on the add it says manual with new clutch but when i did a FAST on the vin it says 4spd auto (AT.F4), even a manual r34 i was looking at came up as AT.F4 in FAST, so whats the go here? other vins i tried from the "VINS you want FASTED" thread came up correct so it's not my version of FAST that's the problem. Does it return AT.F4 if it doesn't have that info or something?? or does a manual conversion seem probable?

thanks for the responses.. i just spoke to the seller and apparently it's still in Japan atm.. he said it comes complied and rwc. these are the mods currently on it; after-market 17" wheels exhaust looks a little lowered, i don't know on what though pod filter bride drivers seat turbo timer provided import papers and compliance papers are OK, will i have a hard time registering it?

Hi all i'm looking at purchasing an r34 gtt that hasn't yet been registered in australia, i think it has been complied and it comes with a RWC. What do i have to do/How can i make the registration process run smoothly? Can anyone see any problems i might have when it comes time to registering it at vicroads?

im not sure mate but from the looks of this r33 exhaust i'd say possibly.. the only thing is the hooks are in the wrong places, it shouldn't be to hard for an exhaust shop to fit it. not to sure mate but its up to you, if you can't find an r33 exhaust you can give this a shot cheers.

ahhh voltage stabiliser cant be a bad thing, puts my mind at ease thanks to all who replied, efficient and effective advice.. being looking them up they seem pretty good especially for cars with stereo equipment. cheers guys

heres some better pics... so it might be HID ballasts or voltage stabiliser? it looks like there's some return wires or wires going back to the front for HID's or something? anyway let me know.. thanks for the responses guys

hi all just wondering, does anyone know what this is?? Is it a grounding kit or spark booster of some kind? And what would it be doing on a almost stock gtt (exhaust, boost controller)?

Looking at buying an r34 that's fairly modded, exhaust, cooler, boost controller, computer, making just over 200kw.. Just would like to know what results should i expect from a leak down and compression test?? I read somewhere that leak down should be no more that 12% and compression should be abut 155-165 across the board. Does this sound right? Under what circumstances should i not buy it? anyone with experiences care to share.
