  1. Howdy Kane GT-SS from nengun http://www.nengun.com/forced-induction/2 only $2650 and you get all the good studs gasket sets . Thats the path I,m taking Never had any problems with Nengun good exchange rate at the moment .They cost over double here too many greedy people here. Delivery cost is neglible. good luck with it ike
  2. Looks as though you have some fine cars especially the rb28. keep us all posted on it. Would'nt mind buying a clapped out r33 gtr for a project . just bought PFC,HC and optional boost controller from Nengun $1200 delivered , hope to fit in 2 weeks so I,ll let you know how it goes. then I can gradually build it up bit by bit sensibly and end up with a reliable beast. That way my lovely wife wont notice heh heh.
  3. I assume you mean gt2860r-5 what are the gt2860r-7's like slightly less hp but more response?? yeah the price difference would be a set of hks dump pipes apparently the actuators on the gt-ss are 50% stronger according to the blurb. Do the garretts have the same actuators just for better boost control that is Does anyone know if you have to pay duty on stuff from overseas, maybe better to haggle locally for those garrets but which ones. all da best
  4. Any recommendations on clutches is there any single plate jobs that can handle that power and same action as stock . Don't want to load up engine thrust bearing dont want to pay the earth either cheers mate
  5. You mentioned PFC + HC what does the HC stand for . Ta very much
  6. hows this not sure how to post a pic abit new to forums
  7. Nah I meant fast take offs 6000rpm launches you are right about burn outs damn near impossible
  8. Nengun are selling bolt on GT-SS s with bolts gaskets basically the lot for $400 more than 2860R's but you will have to find all the bits yourself if you buy the garrett turbos. You say the T517Z's were good for top end well they must be the 10.0 cm2 ones and not the 8.0 cm2 ones which are very responsive. regards micov
  9. Have owned a mint r33 gtr vspec for 6 mths . Imported it from the Japan. Has a full weldina cruising exhaust system from the turbos,400r nismo body kit. nismo gauges ,turbo timer and a few other visual enhancements. I put a KN panel filter and some LMGT1 18x10 +20 wheels with falken 275/35 tyres. Changed all the oil for redline .The car goes really well as it should at 38k k on the odometer. The engine is in GC with good even compression on all six cylinders. I want to increase power to around 300kw and would like it to be very responsive . not interested in bulk power. From my research on turbos it appears that either garrett 2860Rs (HKS gtss) or trust T517z 8.0cm2 are good torque monsters. The gtss are double roller bearings and water cooled and the trust jobs are sleeve brgs and not water cooled. I think the trust jobs come on faster though. From what everyone says. Would like to fit a apexi power fc with the boost controller kit as well which is self learning. Also want to fit new cam pulleys ,crank pulley and tensioner rollers with a stronger toda belt , so as to guarantee the drive train. Want to leave interior stock apart from the FC controller I do not want any extra gauges. Dont do burn outs just fast windy roads. Would the clutch last?. This is not a everyday driver just my obsessional toy. (top grammar) I would really appreciate any input on this and welcome any suggestions before I commit coin. Regards micov
  10. Try Special vehicle imports SVI.com.au in Virginia I recently imported a mint r33gtr v-spec with 40k on it and the whole experience was effortless. Had no problems with car so far and am very pleased with it. They are good people . Just specify our requirements and they will do the rest. all da best Ike
