Comments: The aim was to buy a clean example of a GTR, one that wasn't toyed with, keep it clean and enjoy it the way it was built. I was lucky to find one with a full service history. I have now owned the car for approx. 15 months and regardless it may have needed repairs to be carried out, it has been a dream to own. If you have any questions please call me and if I don't answer please leave a message. Calls between 5pm and 11pm will be most certainly answered. Swaps, Reason for selling: I have been interested in racing for the last couple of years and it's time I got into it. I can't gut the GTR to race after all I have been through with it so I'd prefer to sell it to someone who is going to appreciate it. Swaps for the following cars only, will be considered. Please don't offer anything else. Can be dead stock or race / drift ready. 180sx / Silvia / Onevia / Sileighty <<<<< These cars are highly recommended. Sprinter '86' S14 Cefiro Rx7 Series 4ish SOME SORT OF UTE IE: HILUX, RODEO. You get the picture. If I think of any others I'll edit the post. Certain cars offered will require a cash adjustment (goes without saying). Images: The following pics are of the car as it sits now. I have pics of the car car before compliance, before paint, whilst being painted and more of them after paint.
  2. Been a while. Just in case anyone wants to know how I fixed it, it turns out it was the cold start regulator. Ace mechanic fixed it. I highly recommend him. PM me for details.
  3. What do you plan on doing to the car? You want some power out of it or is it just to enjoy as it is? On another note, if it were me i'd start to put some money away for a rainy day but enjoy the car until the inevitable happens, which could be a long way away. Depends how you drive it really. Hope this makes you feel better.
  4. Hey, sorry I couldn't help you out. Sometimes wiring could get tricky especially when picking up where someone else left off.
  5. I would think so too, but he didn't mention that it happens from start-up.
  6. I read the same thread just now. Next question is, what do I do?
  7. It would be his standard clutch fan. Yep, standard clutch fan. Spot on! My GTR does it too. When I have been driving it for a while the clutch fan can be heard. Same happend in my n/a R31. I love my diesel trucks. lol. Again, operating tempertaure. Hope I helped you guys out. Pwoah man, I'm the quote king!
  8. It is quite a strange problem as (from memory) there should only be four wires needed to get the timer to work. Could have something to do with the handbrake wire you connected. The speed censor wouldn't affect that. Sorry I couldn't be more of a help but what I can tell you is, I installed my timer myself and haven't yet connected the handbrake or the speed wire cables and it works fine. What I am puzzled about is how come I don't have any settings? All I can do with my timer is change the time it takes to shut the car off.
  9. Same as GTR? 32 of course.
  10. Hey guys thanks for getting back to me. Sarumatrix - the culprit.. the power regulator to the cold start. - I will look into having this work carried out, thanks for the tip. Neither of the mechanics I brought the car to mentioned this. Duncan - they may well have been cleaned while the plenum is off, they are right there so it might have seemed like a good opportunity. - Thats what I'm thinking. From what I can tell, the throttle bodies are closed off completely. But I will definately check this thoroughly asap. .....I really need to learn how to quote. VB- - all vaccum lines reatached properly? did a line maybe come loose when removing/refittting the plenum. do you have a boost guage thats T'd into one of the lines that may have been pulled off during plenum work, and missed because its further down one of the vaccum lines and not plumbed to the plenum itself? - I have an aftermarket boost gauge t'd into the vac line right next to the box on the firewall. Boost is showing exactly what it should (12-13 pound). Is there somewhere else I should be looking? Thanks for your input so far, it is much appreciated!
  11. Hi all. As the topic states I can't figure why my car is idling high. This is all the work that has been carried out engine wise to help you guys out with a solution; - Plenum (standard) was removed and replaced to have it powder-coated. - Throttle bodies may be been cleaned but I don't see why the mechanic would do it without charging me for it. - Throttle bodies may have also been wrongly adjusted. As far as I know there are no air leaks. Where should I start with this? So far I have taken it to a normal mechanic and a performance place. The performance place was Chasers. They did an excellent job on everything else but could not identify the problem. Any relevant input would be greatly appreciated. Please don't hi-jack the thread. If this problem is posted elsewhere and I didn't search properly please let me know and i'll contact a mod to have it deleted. Thanks in advance!
  12. Now that I think about it, the vibrating started after my clutch change, but I also had my tailshaft and diff rebuilt so i'm lost. Thanks for the update and keep me posted.
  13. I am having the same problem with my GTR. Judging by the fact that you have a GTS-T, helps me rule out anything to do with the 4WD system. I can tell you it isn't a wheel balance because I just had new tyres put on a week ago accompanied by a full electronic wheel balance. Everything showed 100%. I have been told it could be the diff and so far, I am believing it. If you find out before I do what the problem is, could you please let us know? I'm in Melbourne too and wouldn't mind meeting up to know for sure if you're problem is the exact same as mine. Sounds like it though. Fulvio.
  14. I came to pick them up with 'dmr', fitted them today, very happy. Thanks!
  15. Any chance to have the Nismo mats posted to melbourne 3073? PM me back, thanks.
  16. Aaaaaaaaand we're done! I'll take another set which puts me down for two which makes it 10 sets.
  17. Sweet! I'll pm you my new username when it changes so you can update the first post.
  18. I know I'm new (low post count) but count me in. If you need some sort of 'security' pm me. Maybe this question has been asked as I only quickly flipped through the thread but, can we only get them in black?
  19. Hi, can I have my username changed to FVO? Thanks in advance!
