  1. Hi everyone, I have a VL AERO BODYKIT for sale. It has NEVER been on a car. It consists of... Front Bar, Rear Bar, Side Skirts, Door Panels, Rear Center insert, Pillar Moulds. It pretty much a full Aero kit minus the rear lip spoiler and the rear pillear moulds. I am asking $1800 and i am in Tassie. If anyone is interested to have a look give me a pm or e-mail ([email protected]) or a call after 6pm on (03) 6334 7273 Thanks Ben
  2. I used some cut and polish and they came up like new. I suppose everyone has some toothpaste lying around though
  3. I forgot to write that pics will be up in a few days
  4. Hi guys, I am after some expressions of interest in a Skyline that i am getting from the Mainland to sell. It is a R33 4door auto, series 1. It has a 1.5 front bar,R32 Mags and is pretty much as stock as they come. It has 110,000 clicks and I will be asking around 11k for it, and that will be negotiable. It is straight and has only had a minor ding in the front bumper. (that is why it now has a series 1.5 front bar. so, NO MORE DING ) So if anyone is interested in this car let me know because i have not decided whether to bring it over yet. If i have some interest i will bring it accross and then the interested people can feel free to test drive it. Anyway, let me know if u r interested. Ben
  5. I know all about steep Driveways . Mine has about 5 different angles in the one driveway. Having really stiff Coilovers doesnt help 3 Wheels in or out. Wheels look goood though Catcha around when you are up in lonnie nexxt wog Ben
  6. At the moment i have not had it on the dyno. I plan to in the future. The problem i am having is that the wastegate is too small . I think that maybe the guys didn't make the wastegate bigger when they highflowed the turbo. I will post when i have power figure
  7. Yeah the pipe looks good. I found out why my boost is creeping. My wastegate is too small for the highflowed turbo. Does anyone know where i can get a GOOD mannifold with room for an external wastegate and also a wastegate?? If anyone knows that would be great. I will be happy when i finally can give it a real burn. Talk to you tonight wog Ben
  8. I don't know if i waould have been able to afford one that was already in tassie. I paid $7000 for this thing
  9. Hey all, I am new so as ofg a few weeks ago so i thought i should share my car with you all. There are a few things i ahve done to it since i bought it. First i got new coilovers - coz my shocks and springs were knackered. Boost controller Then i got some simple things like speco boost gauge and apexi turbo timer. Intercooler I was having some fuel problems (using a Sh!tload) so i took the car to nissan thinking that the job would be a $300 job or something like that and walked away with new GCG Highflow turbo, dump pipe and front pipe, exhaust manifold plained and straightened (due to warping) new gaskets, bolts, new o2 sensor, airflow meter and a couple of other things. The bolts on the manifol had snapped (8 of the 12 were stuffed) and a few other things were gone aswell. $3000 later went home from nissan and POOOOOOFFFFFF my intercooler piping blew off. They didnt fix it back on quite properly. (oh well it happens) i had never heard the piping blow off before so it scared the crap out of me. I wasn't even on full boost. (about 5psi ehehh) Now a few weeks later i had a new intercooler pipe made up coz it was hitting my radiator fan and i thought all was good. HA not yet though. The car was set to 8psi. So when i was driving along it started miss fireing under full throttle. (i forgot to mention that when i bought the car the first thing i did was change plugs, oil, filters and airfilter. ) The plugs were gapped to 1.1. One of my friends told me that it could be the reason for my misfireing problem. So i changed them this last weekend and put 0.8mm plugs in. Just the NGK ones. This has got rid of the misfire but now i have noticed that my boost was creeping Up and up and up and up. HHHHMMMMMMMMM I though about what it could be and with the help of some friends we may have figured it out. The wastegate on the new turbo may be hitting the dump pipe housing and not openning properly. Therefore causing the boost to keep going up. I think at one point( the forst time i noticed it it went to 16psi. My gauge is mounted in the old ashtray position and i was consentrating on the revs so i couldnt see both at once. Anyway the car is back at nissan today and will see what they find. I did ask them to check the dump pipe when it went on but maybe they didn't. I don't know. Anyway here are some pics of the car as it is now:)
  10. First thing you should do is take out the factory boost setting i.e: 5psi < 4500Rpm and 7psi > 4500. There is a mod in the DIY section search for the boost soleniod. I did this mod first and you notice the difference straight away. plaus it is free and easy to do. Search for : HOWTO: RB25DET High Boost mode with standard solenoid this will take you to the link
  11. In a car you will hear it, because the sound bounces around the car. You are right though, but that is more the case in a hall or big room. A human ear cant hear below 20-25hz or higher than 15khz (some exeptions) so when you buy a speaker that is rated to below 25hz it will just shake everything
  12. Hi there, I have an R33 series 1 4door, now i think that they are the same size boot as the coupe. You will probbably have a lot of trouble mounting 2 x 15 subs in behind the rear seat unless you sacrafice a lot of boot space. If you don't use your boot it should be easy. However i think that 2 x 12s would be much better. The difference that you would actually hear between 12s and 15s is very minimal. I mean on paper the 15s go deeper and rattle the car appart more. I have had 2 15s and 2 12s in my old car and the 12s were much better because they have a higher respons and better sound. (my opinion.) If you get something like Rockford Fosgate our soundstream you really would only need one 12. They are insane. However i can understand the need for symetry i.e 2 subs. You will ahve to consider what amp you are going to use aswell. You should always overpower speakers so that your amps dont work so hard. By overpower o dont mean run them into thr ground i mean supply them with more power than they need. Thats just my 20 cents. I have gone through a few stereos, but like i said before each to their own.
  13. Hi I am looking for a Radiator fan for my Series 1 R33. I believe that a S2 fan will also fit so either of those is what i am after. I am in tassie postcode 7250. PM me if you have one for sale Cheers
