I just dont know anyone in QLD... any suggestions??? i have run up about 5 or 6 mobile mechanics in qld and they all sound pretty hopeless... all of them want to do a full roadworthy inspection and this is something that i dont really want because i know that the car isnt roadworthy, due to no locks and minor things. also in a preview of what a roadworthy inspection consists of 3/4 of it are to do with things other than the engine... i want someone to only focus on the engine. due to the fact that this car i supposed to be for at least the next year.... can anyone suggest someone in QLD that would be good for this?? the car is located in ipswich.... Hello All, I just have a quick question, because after going through the search engine it has only expanded my uncertainty... I am looking at buying a Vl Calais with an rb26dett conversion in it. It is an R33 GTR engine. (not sure whether that would make any difference). Anyway I live in Tasmania and the seller is in Qld. He has been very helpful and seemingly genuine in his comments, giving me any info i want and not needing to think about any answers. So i am not 100% sure but 90% sure that he is telling me the truth about what he is saying, either that or he is an extremely quick thinker.... Now to my question.... He has said that there is a ticking sound coming from the head (he is 99%) sure that its coming from the head. He said that last weekend he has changed the spark plugs which were fouled and the tick is not there on idle, and then it is there through the rev range... I would like some input on what it could be in your opinion. I mean after reading the search engine topics it could be Lifters, valves, and many other things. so i am not after a direct answer. Just if someone has had something like this before... Also if it was to come from the bottom end... correct me if im wrong but i will be looking at a total rebuild correct???? Any suggestions would be muchly appreciated I must just also say that i have been told that it is definitely a tick and not a knock... Kind regards --Ben

I agree that it doesnt really need a tune with those mods, however like ben said its your car.... If you are from Burnie, How about going to white hot motorsport?? i think that they should still be about. they are at 8 Mathews way Devonport. Ok all, It has come far enough. I would like to inform all that i will be bringing the car back to semi stock from. The intercooler and Xhorst will stay on the car, everything else is up for grabs. I have not worked out the prices yet for everything but feel free to hit me with an offer. I have had some offers/interest in the turbo, injectors, and power fc as a package. for more info on that pm me. The car is still all in 1 piece and i wish to sell it as is but if i get good offers i have no hesitation to take it apart. If there is anything else you want to know just let me know what you want and we'll go from there. --Ben

Ok here it is: It is a silver 4 door series 1 skyline. It is in good condition. there are a few scuff marks here and there on the interior and it has no stereo. It is also missing the boot carpet and linings which were a bit damaged from an old stereo install. I am selling this car because my lovely wife is getting a new kitchen The car has 98,000 on the clock at the moment. Here is a list of modifications that have been done to the car. High flowed GCG turbo Z32 AFM FMIC 76x300x700 custom intercooler pipe 550cc injectors Apexi Power fc (no hand controller) Coil overs Apexi air pod Walbro fuel pump Shift kit BIG Transmission cooler dump pipe Exhaust (3' inch) from turbo Magnaflow muffler obligatory boost gauge smile.gif manual boost controller and probably 1 or 2 other minor things that i cant think of right now... its running on 13-14psi at the moment and that is on PULP making around 230rwkw I should also mention if you haven't realized from the above mods that it is an auto 4 speed. but the gear box has never missed a beat. I have tried to sell the car before but didn't have many responses so here i go again. Also if you have any questions please pm me and i will get back to you as soon as i can. The buyer can also have some stock parts with the purchase... Price is 12k which i think is reasonable cheap. considering the modifications 1 thing i forgot to add. I have owned the car now for 2.5 years and it has travelled a HUGE 9,000 kms and all the parts for it bar 1 or 2 are new. So for example the turbo is 4000kms old and the injectors are about 3000 old etc... hit me with some interest. if i cant sell this car then i will revert it back to stock and it will go for about 7k-8k and the parts will be sold separately. pics are here and there will be some more very soon

Hello Everyone, I have been asked by the Stage Manager of Targa Tasmania if i know anyone who would be willing to help out of a stage, or maybe even more than one. Here is what is needed: People who are interested in volunteering for various roles from marshaling to stage checking (this means driving the stage and making sure that the stage is clear - one trip is after road closure so u can go as fast as u like/can LEGALLY!!) And then there are some timing jobs as well. Those of you who are into photography will be able to get some really good spots that they normally might not get. The stage that i need people for is for the DUNORLAN stage which is a new stage this year. It will be on Friday the 18th of April and you will need to be there at 7am. The road will be closed from 8:32am and the first car wil be there at 9:32 am. The road will be reopened at 1:02pm. Please give me a message if you are interested in this and remember that not everyone can race along all the roads. I need about 10 people maybe more not 100% sure.
