    on a side note: old guy at work who brought his 4-door awd skyline over from NZ when he moved over had alot of problems when he changed tyres (from memory he bought new tyres for front when back were still old or something) and it screwed it up totally so yeah - tolerances might be small!!

    yeah when i took mine out i took the unit and lines and everything out - never weighed it but it was a fair amount of metal

    255/40R17 standard rim is like an 8.5 approved rim width is 7.5 - 9 (thats for Federal ss959 - good indicative numbers)

    ps i use to run 255/40 R17s on the back where i had 17x9 wheels... so its a 255mm tyre on a 9" wide wheel... 7.5" wheel for a 255mm tyre is a bit on the small side IMO
