  1. thanks gang, yeah, there are some pretty crazy operators going around at the moment... This info really helps
  2. My r33 needs a basic wheel allignment. I have heard some horror stories in this forum and from mates, of places not to trust, due to unskilled apprentices running a muck. I would like to know from all of you in Sydney, who do you take your car to for skyline wheel allignments and suspension tweaking? I really only want to deal with enthusiasts, who dont charge the earth.
  3. I am 6'7. Never had problems in the r33.
  4. batmbl is 1st rate trader no complaints. I had a 3inch turbo exhaust end-to-end, and for compliancing purposes, a stock cat was fitted. I purchased the Catco Metal cat 3inch, with 5inch barrell, to the amazement of my mechanic it bolted on no dramas. I am sorry to say but it made no difference in performance for me. (Apart from the exhaust my car was stock). Noise wise, it was exactly the same loudness both, before and after the cat refit. Maybe if I do further mods like ECU refit, Side mount, and up boost, and fuel, might it help...But sorry in my experience to date, it just didnt do anything for me?
  5. Hello, I have one if you are still interested - it is a pioneer carrozzeria 45 x 4 cd and tape Double Din. PM me if you are still interested
  6. There may be an opportunity for me to acquire a 2nd hand GT3076 R Ball bearing turbo 0.64 Exhaust housing, internally gated, < 5000ks (hardly used), for approximately $900/$1000 (purchased approx 4 months ago for $1750). The turbo currently uses a t25 flange and is fitted to a worked 2l Hyianda Coupe.. Few questions- Is this turbo a good option for me? It seems to be a turbo of choice for many of you out there. I am after minimal lag, and fast acceleration up to 5000RPM. If I can get the turbo for this approximate price what budget should I allow for.. I have a stock r33, done 85,000k running stock 7psi, with a full 3 inch exhaust and hiflow cat - thats it.. My understanding is that I will have to purchase (absolute minimum): *dump pipe *Upgrade computer *Upgrade Fuel lines If I can get the turbo for $900, do you think a budget of $2k is reasonable, or am i tripping.

  8. Can someone please tell me who distributes this rim... I am interested in the price - I am guessing around the 5k for total package.. http://img474.imageshack.us/my.php?image=preston005fl1.jpg
  9. I just noted the following article... http://www.croydonracingdevelopments.com/articles.htm see: ZM83 - Magic Cat should I be worried?
  10. I have looked everywhere for the link - could you please tell me where I can get this information you mention. greatly appreciated.
  11. This is the question that current faces me. I have a custom 3inch exhaust system end-to-end, & also a 'complianced' cat which sits in between. Do I get a 'hi-flow'cat? or do DIY using broom stick method to remove the guts of the cat!! I am interested in hearing people that have done this? Did you experience or notice and problems after? I note 1 persons previous comments on backfiring.. People have told me that if I were to change my cat, to hi-flow, I would notice a big difference in power. Wouldnt removing the guts of the cat make this the ultimate 'hi-flow'. I note that many people have bought either the Catco or MetalCat during previous group buys - so I am sure there would be interest out there?
  12. i am interested in the outcome of this thread... I am planning to drive my car from Sydney to Adelaide.. My car is white. Do you think I am going to f**k up the paint? Was your bonnet and paint really f**ked. Please show me a photo of your paint ?

  14. frx thankyou for your response I really appreciate it. This is probably going to cause a lot of argument, but I have drawn a boot schematic, which depicts the best layout for subwoofers in a r33... This is my interpretation of what you are trying to say frx.
  15. interesting... I would have though that with any subs in the boot - for an r33, it would sound poor, because the sound gets muffled by the back seats & boot seperating metal. In commodores for example, there is a least a back seat arm rest, which directly exposes the boot. In this case, the difference when the arm rest are down versus up are big. This is what I am getting at. This is why I am asking this, because it is a big difference in sound quality. When people say they have installed subs, can you please mention if your install has subs which are heard direct versus. Jai Jai, when you say you have done it, do you understand what I am trying to acheive? Do you hear them direct? Please help me out with as much detail as possible.
  16. Just purchased an r33 series 2, and want to install 2 x 12's. I used to have a hatchback with subs, and ideally want to hear subs direct, with the back seats down, and minimal interference from the metal etc. I dont think this is possible? I have briefly looked in the boot - and noted metal which looks like part of it could unscrew? as for the seats - I think i am pushing shit up hill. I know I wont be able to match the sound quality of a hatchback layout, but I would like to know if it is possible?
