  3. For Sale - Immaculate Skyline 1996 Series 2 Gts-t Manual - Full log Book History Genuine Sale Up for sale is my much loved and immaculate Series 2 1996 Skyline. Reason for my sale is I have just purchased a Mercedes and have no room for this car. I will sadly miss this car, and as such this is a genuine sale. Backgound: Full Japanese Log Book and service history dating back from original dealer purchase in Japan. The car has travelled 118,000 km's and now sits in my garage doing nothing. Its rare these days to find such paperwork, but I have it. I have had the books translated from Japanese for those that are genuinely interested. I was the first owner who imported and purchased this car in 2008 courtesy of Joel Freitas, Aussie Car Compliance. For those that may know Joel, he ran a import business based in Castle Hill. Unfortunately due to Australian currency pressures, Joel's business had to cease trading, however Joel can vouch for this car and can be contactable on request. I serviced this car with him up until he finished trading in 2009. From 2009 the car has been serviced and cared for by Bel garage. I am a 30 year old working professional, and drive this car like a grandma. The car has never had a hard life and I treat this car like my own child. It NEVER gets parked anywhere except my locked up garage. As such the paint is like factory, straight bright white and clean. Further photos can be provided upon request. 4. free bump. I have them on my car series 2. They are light and forged. I.e really well made. I have attached a photo to show you what they look like. Good luck with your sale
  5. Wow thats damn cheap. Would have been snapped up real quick!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Straight swap for 33. They normally go for 150-170, so yeah, this will sell quickly.
  7. Have one in my car. Awesome. Surprised it hasnt sold already. Hold steady you'll sell it. They are rated at around 260rwkw and are perfect for a 33Gtst
  8. Tom, let me guess you used to take your car to Excite motors aka aussie car compliance at Castle Hill? If so it a pity what happened to him. He was one in a million
  9. This trust exhaust is awesome, I have it. If you live in sydney you can PM and listen to it. I am surprised this has not sold for low price. Free bump.
  10. Anyone having issues with the Optus network? http://apcmag.com/another_unlimited_callsi..._optus_cope.htm
  11. Report it mate do everyone a favour. There is nothing smart arse for asking for the badge, that type of response has just blown their cover. Well done
  12. Thanks. Such a pity. Looks like Bored33 was the guinea pig. After reading his tale I am turned off. Do we have any other 'guinea cops' out there on a series 2 GTST stock bar install? Looks like the only thing I can 'trust' is Trust.
  13. Yeah there are a few on here that are certainly considering it... Guess we will have to wait and see and keep an eye on this thread this week.
  14. For those that have recently installed it, can you pls share your feedback on fittment. How much trimming did you have to do with the reo? Any other surprise/s? It looks good, but I need comfort from those that have been through this installation, before I make a decision on it. Also I would like to know who is considering it? I know you are out there! Thankyou in anticipation
  15. Just to give some closure on this thread, I didnt end up getting the new flywheel in the 33. Thankyou all for input. I see its merit, but the advise is more in favour of dont bother. For those that are thinking about single Exedy HD clutch choices, the organic r32 GTR clutch, 7121SO, (rated at 260rwkw according to A Sullivan - Kudos) will fit a r33, and I would recommend it. The clutch is a good compromise between power vs driveability. Thankyou Andrew from Kudos for your help with this.
  16. Thanks for the comments. Interesting you have to launch at 3000 everytime?
  17. Interesting comments. MR_fanny I assume you have the 6.68kg exedy flywheel. I will leave my judgement on this till the end of next week. Bit disappointed I thought there would be more comments by now. Silence to me indicates its just not a good bang for buck mod that people can be bothered with. Having said this, itpuzzles me, as whilst doing the clutch, it would make sense to put a light weight exedy flywheel (if you have the coin). I've pm'd a few known heads, lets see if they contribute.
  18. Yep, I suspected what you are saying.. There are quite a few people using Exedy in the community, so lets wait and see what other people have to say.
  19. Thanks for this, the theory makes sense. I really want to hear about peoples experiences with and without it on (and with similar spec't skylines).
  20. Just after peoples experiences with the Exedy lightened flywheel 6.2kg. Is it really worth it? My end aim is about 260kw-280kw, I am looking at getting the following clutch: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/ip...roducts_id%2F27 Rev210 swears by a lightened flywheel, saying 0.5 seconds can be shaved off his quarter mile. Yet other people keep telling me the lightened flywheel really doesnt make a great deal of peformance difference? Can people please validate with real world experiences. I dont want to throw money at something, just for the sake of it, (bear in mind my end goal). thankyou
  21. edited - bit worried, some people appear to have reported delays on delivery of this item
  22. and yes, brace yourself, it may go up, as mine did, and I am 28.
  23. insurance for the skyline is highly dependent on the suburb you live in. i.e there is no point comparing a SA, NT premium to a sydney premium. Unfortunately sydney premiums are high in comparison (generally speaking). When you hit 25, it goes down, but drive a performance car, be prepared to pay a price for it.
  24. I am assuming that being proud owners you handwash your car..so please help me out. The only car wash (with spray gun) and self serve is the mobil near randwick/kensington. I can only think of 1, please prove me wrong, as I am sick of waiting in the queues at randwick/kensington mobil. I am after any carwashes (self serve with spray gun only) with 10k radius of sydney. Let it be a warning for people that live in the city sydney - there are not many options if you want self service washing...
