  2. i just want to ad, phillip island is a truely magic circuit! as i said before it was my first time there and the first few laps really took my breath away. the turns just flow from one to another, and the speed which you can carry out of the final turn onto the straight is simply mind blowing!

i would love to get back there sometime in the near future!

  3. the yellow rex had a large off at turn 9 (the hay shed) i think. the car is a wreck and i heard the driver was taken to monash hospital with suspected cracked ribs. but besides that im not too sure on the details.

its never good to see these things hapen :(

oh and another thing with the ones that only have times in practice was there were a few people that got done for noise levels. EPA was very strict...

  4. it was fantasctic Adz.

my first time there. really happy with my 1.58, considering im on standard road tyres with standard brakes. :)

does anyone know how that guy with the yellow rex is? that was a nasty accident!

i hope everything works out ok for Matt, mate, i really fealt sorry for you. :)

how did everyone else go with there cars, anything to report?

    any pics/footage?

    cheers,

    matty.

  5. hey matty,

appreciate the offer. im thinking the best spot to meet up will be as you go through tooradin (so neither of us has to back track).

the next thing really is what time will be best. your thoughts?

i tried to send you a PM but it said your ibox was full...

    cheers. :ermm:

  6. welcome to the forum! should join up ASAP. we are at phillip island tomorrow so your more than welcome to come check it out.

dyno night at springy tonight ay? hmmm who's going? i might come down for a peak. will be in the Libbo though, the R is all prepped for tomorrow.

should stick the libbo on the dyno, see what she makes :(

  7. thanks guys,

yes we are part of Subaru Melbourne, and im in spare parts. who do you know S2oOo?

i love the satin white, being a pearl colour it really looks awesome in the sun :D

i thought i did pretty good with getting the Libbo, but it looks like ive been upstaged by snowy with his new beast! hmm... i could trade both the R and the Libbo, then i would only have to pay prolli 100 grand or so for an r35... ;)

  8. yeah its definately nice to have something easy and comfortable to drive, oh and a warranty too! the fuel econemy is another bonus, im curently doing 8.8 litres per 100ks!

    luvin it!

thanks for the suggestion Juliette, but yeah nah! :P

  9. Greetings all,

as the title says, got me self a new ride. my new daily driver. brand new 2009 subaru liberty. and its an auto  (gasp)!!! and i love it to bits.

dont get me wrong i still love my GTR (always will) but now that im working at subaru fountain gate, insted of mentone where i was, im no longer able to sponge a lift to work. this ment driving the R from mt martha to fountain gate and back every day in traffic! i very quickly got over it! so with a bit of thought ive decided to lease a new liberty. i got a killer deal through work and i already knew how good the liberty's are. the other thing was with the promotion i got, came a pay increase :P which is enough to more or less pay the lease payments. so in a round about way, i guess you could say that work has bought me a car

i think i love the "Libbo" as much as i love the R, but for completley different reasons. Now my R can sit in the garage waiting for a nice sunny weekend or track day. and i enjoy it even more than i used to because im driving it less. each driving experience is that little bit more special if you like... (sounds pretty sad ay?)

im sure you all know what a liberty looks like but heres a pic anyway...

    feel free to pass comment.

    cheers,

    matty.

  10. thanks for the tips guys, i will bear that in mind. i shal see how the car behaves on saturday and i might see about getting it removed down the track.

Belsil80 - i can definately see where your coming from about the aftermarket industry, theres quite a few unreliable companies out there. i think its just a case of finding a good one, developing a good working relationship and sticking with them. even they will sometimes have bad days, but alot of the time it comes down to the supliers in japan for example.

so anyway... is there going to be a cruise to the circuit on saturday morning? if so i would be keen to tag along.

oh well, off to get the alignment done now. gotta love annual leave!
