This is 18 X 9.5 +12's on Kemp's GTR.
-
It should be okay to just top it up with the new fluid, but always read the label. Some brake fluid's don't recommend mixing.
-
A 32 GTR with 9.5" +15 sticks out the guards roughly 15mm or more I think, depending on camber. The 10.5 with +15 will stick out a further 0.5".
-
Yep, it sounds like its got +40mm offset. The other words/letters I'm not too sure, I would guess that it's the model of the wheel, but
-
Standard series 2 body with fat wheels is all that's needed for your car to look good in my opinion. Any car with a standard body and decent wheels.
-
There are two TYPES of headlights, but you can say there's four different ones. Projectors without bracket, projectors with, reflectors without and reflectors with.
-
It' looks like he jacked it up from where the car's manual says, rails. Not a good idea if it's not the standard jack or he hasn't modified the hydraulic jack. The gold on those wheels look cheap in my opinion. I would go for the gun metal grey.

Do I sense sarcasm? Because I'm sure if you don't know what it's supposed to show, it just looks like a drawing from a grade 1 kid. hahhah For those that don't know what the Paint pics are showing, the first is the cutoff line (like when you face a wall with your headlights on), second pic is a birds eye view of what your beam would look like. The 'dip' in the first pic isn't that much on most cars, but in post #29, the second pic, you can see a little dip.

LOL! I was on msn, went off after I posted that reply. hahah. I'm on now man. You're always on away so I don't know when you're there!
-
Looks tough. Should leave the wheels silver as well. Don't go black in my opinion. Go everything silver, silver lip and wheels.
-
There are two types of headlights. The ones which had the projectors and one with the reflectors. The N1s had the reflectors, they're different to the standard reflectors cause they had the brackets for the grill (they're the same headlight). The reflectors would be lighter than the projectors that's why they were used in the N1s. Edit: Have a read of what funkymonkey's said. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=3826106

Your headlights are supposed to look like this. It's just so that you don't blind oncoming traffic like Beer Baron said.
-
With those, don't you just open up your cluster, take off the needles, then stick these on? Nothing to do with the gauges themselves? When I opened up my cluster (in the ke70), it was a pain the arse to get the needle back to the position it was in originally. You press the needle in to get it tight then it was just move too much. Giving you an inaccurate reading. Could your problem be similar to this or? When you say that the tacho does whatever it wants, you mean it jumps around from one rev to the next? Not smooth?

Does This Size Look Legal ?

Ah yep, that makes sense. Sorry for giving false information. I'm sure it's not the first. Edit: Here's a calculator for the track increase/change. What you said is right. http://www.s4play.com/Tire-Wheel%20Combina...0Calculator.htm Edit Edit: I just realised the above link is for "tire track" changes, not wheel. So to find out what the change in wheel track is, I think you just have to keep the same tyre width. -

So for example, you're current and widest track wheel from factory is 17x7.5 with +40 offset. You're wanting 18x9.5 +25 for example on the rear of your car. These will stick OUT ~40mm on EACH side. Your total track increase is 2x40=80mm. Therefore illegal. -

The widest optional wheel for your model would be printed on the placard. On the side of your door. I'll get back to you about the change in track from standard. Haven't actually thought about it. Edit: Ah okay, did a little research to back up what I was thinking and I was right. With the track increase, you're not allowed to exceed 25mm. That means with your new wheels, you can't have the wheels sticking out more than 25mm on BOTH side. Just use the offset calculator as normal, if your wheels stick outwards more than 25mm for BOTH sides, the wheels are illegal. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. -
Can you get a pic of what you're talking about? When you say black gauges with white ones, nothing pops up in my head. Just any pics from eBay or something. haha

When purchasing wheels, the "correct" offsets of the new wheel will have to be what it was from factory (in this case, +40). The car's suspension components were designed for a wheel with +40mm offset. Wouldn't matter what the width is because the same amount of force will still exert on the components in the same percentage (something like that ). The front wheels with those offsets will stick out 17.7mm from where the current wheels are sitting. The rear wheels will stick out 30.4mm. From what I can see in the pics, it should be fine. Roll of the guards and it'll be perfect (no rubbing). When getting new wheels, chances are you'll break the 'track' rule anyway. Without breaking it, your car's stance will look shit. -

Is/was your car non-turbo? Does/did it have 4 stud wheels? -
They're pretty much the same thing except the GTR headlights will have the mounting brackets for their grill. Shouldn't effect anything though.

Front: 18x8.5 +43 will be 11mm more tucked than it is now. Suspension clearance could be a problem with after market coilovers. 18x8.5 +37 will be 5mm more tucked than it is now. Suspension clearance could be a problem with after market coilovers. The 18x8.5 +30 will be moved out 2mm compared to your current wheels. Rears: 18x9.5 +38 will be 6mm tucked than current. 18x9.5 +30 will be 2mm moved out. 18x9.5 +20 will be 12mm moved out. 18x9.5 +12 will be 20mm moved out. You're planning on getting wheels that in the same widths, not hard to just see the difference in offset. If you go to a higher offset, it will be more tucked, lower offset, more out. If you're planning on running the same tyres, measure the "20mm moved out" from your tyres instead of wheel to see if they touch guards.

Thanks for putting that all together mate. Learnt a few things I would've never looked up to read. Before I read it, I was expecting things similar to those on the carbible website. Reading things you don't even need/want to know. hahah. I hope people actually read this and not just skip it because it's too long. They'll learn a thing or two..

Nope, they're the 'povo pack' headlights. Came on the NA series 1 R32's.
