  1. No they're legit, but as said difference is they're 19's on the R34 & 18's on the S15. If they were rav's they'd be 19x7.5" & flat...
  2. this should answer all your questions http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/G4...es-t167104.html
  3. yeah they're HKS Hipermax's, unsure if 1's or 2's but thinking hipermax 1's as you have the anodized spacers rather than helper springs. May be wrong about that though. More importantly they are damper adjustable. Dont use a spanner on the top, you need a long allen key as mentioned earlier. Sorry but cant remember what size & mine is at my folks place so not at hand to check for you, perhaps get onto the HKS USA or japan websites & you might be able to find the info (or order the tool). They might not 'click' as in make a noise but as you turn it you should be able to feel it as it adjusts. If they're Hipermax 1's you should have about 12 steps of adjustment, if they're 2's you'll have up to 30. As for adjusting the height you need to jack the car up to take the weight off the spring. Then you need 2 C spanners & you spin them in opposite directions. As mentioned soak them with wd40 or something to loosen them up. oh & the middle bit will just be sitting there, its just a spacer so your springs dont bounce around when the weights taken off the shock, you need to spin the top nut & bottom nut. quality shocks by the way, just tell the missus to suck it up!
  4. Hi SK could you please calculate some spring rates for me. FRONT: Coil ID = 99 top / 68 bottom (mm) Wire OD = 12.7 mm # of Coils = 7.5 turns REAR: Coil ID = 88.5 top / 77.5 bottom (mm) Wire OD = 12 mm # of Coils = 11 turns thanks, Tim.
  5. Beer Baron imported one for Mark & Russ's 'Super R34' build, see here
  6. yeah 11.5kg & 8.5kg sound a lot closer to how they feel! thanks for that, was a big help. cheers, Tim
  7. Ok Gary heres a couple photos with spacing included on them. Fronts: Coil Dia. = 12mm Top/Bottom O.D. = 89.5mm/89.5mm No. of Coils = 11.125 (about half of the last coil is shaved so that spring sits flat) Rears: Coil Dia. = 11mm Top/Bottom O.D. = 86.7mm/87.7mm No. of Coils = 11.125 (about half of the last coil is shaved so that spring sits flat) Have included Dia. of every coil on the rears as the change was more noticable, can get the fronts too if need be. thanks for the help. cheers, tim
  8. yeah no problem, will double check measurements & snap some photos over the weekend. thanks again.
  9. wow, ok I think I've stuffed up a measurement then because mine are rock hard & those spring rates are close to stock (z32). Im assuming the springs are progressive as the top coils are wound a lot closer than the rest but perhaps Im wrong, any suggestions where I've messed up? Coilovers are HKS Hipermax's & from what I can tell the lowest rates available (across whole range for z32) where fr=7, rr=6. cheers, tim
  10. Can you knock these out for me, measurements may be off a touch as did them with shocks still on car & there was minimum room... Note: springs are progressive, top 5 coils are wound tight, others are normal. Fronts Lower O.D. = 89.3mm Upper O.D. = 89.3mm Wire thickness = 12mm No. Coils = 11.125 Rears Lower O.D. = 85.6mm Upper O.D. = 87mm Wire thickness = 11mm No. Coils = 11.125 thanks heaps!
  11. Im going to be different, pentax K10D. Bloody fantastic camera thats won a lot of awards, its got a ton of features over their entry level K100D or you could go the newer K20D. As a plus you should get it for roughly $1k (at most) so you've got change! Seriously check it out, at least 5 major photographic organisations & magazines named it DSLR of the year for '07.

    Wtb - 300zx

tried the 300zx forum? check the classifieds at www.aus300zx.com but i'll give you a heads up its not gonna be anything flash for $9k... check the tech section of the site though, good info when buying. If at all possible try & spend a bit more, these cars are nowhere near as bad as people say but you need to start with the best base possible. make sure its had the 100k km service done (the full one not the bare minimum) if not use that as an excellent way to knock the price down. budget around $2k for the major service (may have change though). best off buying the parts yourself, either from the states or one of forum vendors, & provide to zed specialist (do not take to normal mechanic!) the na's are strong buggers, my australian delivered one has got nearly 260k km & gets used daily & theres plenty more like that on the forum. imported ones will no doubt have lower reading odometers & sellers will insist they're geniune k's but i assure you 99% are not. best of luck & hope to see you on aus300zx soon! cheers, tim
  13. can i have some more info on the model 5's? need widths & offsets, also general condition of all 4 wheels & some info on the tyres thanks (brand & tread left). & where are you located? cheers, tim
