  1. I thought the flog was excessive with its 4 tips. Surely 6 is going too far?
  2. skybus and train will work fine. the ringwood east station is only 10 minutes walk from my destination according to google maps.
  3. So looking at ~$22 each way and 1.5 hours.
  4. From my googling that would be "sky bus"?
  5. Waiting on confirmation of exactly when I need to be down there, but looking like arrive Tuesday (22nd) next week in the afternoon and leave Thursday (24th) morning.
  6. Legit question. If I wanted to get to/from the airport/ringwood east. I assume the easiest way (without hiring a car) is to take the shuttle bus to broad Meadows, then train into one of the main city loop stations, then onto the lilly dale line?
  7. The level of sandyness is going to be extreme when it crashes/pops.
  8. I was more pointing out how it was actually a good thing that he has/had two.
  9. Good thing he had 2 then
  10. That's a number 3
  11. You didn't even go for deep. Left a lot on the table there.
  12. 2 speed with a loose af converter wouldn't be too horrible to drive around with a big cube v8. The skinnys and likely mini spool or locked diff would make it a bit of a pig though.
  13. Does he have a 3 speed box or something silly?
  14. .... Would they even half sit inside the guards?
  15. That's mainly to give you an idea just how quickly 400kw puts on speed. If it's going to be a track toy, you are going to need some serious brakes to deal with stopping it. Upgraded pads and rotors won't cut it.
  16. thats a run out at an airport, i am not even an amateur film maker obviously as its hard to even read any of the gauges. had spark breaking down at 160 then it clears up and keeps going, trapped at 242km/h at the 800m mark.
  17. I had a pre gtx series 35r with 0.82 rear. If you tweaked the waste gate setup you could have 20psi at 3500. Traction was non existent below 100km/h, for Street use it was too laggy to be quick and too fast to be usable without potential jail time. You would start seeing positive boost (a few psi) at 2500 with a bit of load. Guilt-toy had a similar setup and should be documented fairly well on sau. This is my dyno sheet, 26 psi and the dip at 145 was spark breaking down, done on a 33c day.
  18. High flows have been tried on an rb30 years ago. It was a cheap build basically stock Na bottom end with the 25 head and it came on like a light switch but come 5000 it hit a wall, by 5500 it had dropped about 100kw from memory.
  19. Right rb30. 3076/3071 minimum. Anything that uses a stock rear housing isn't going to flow enough exhaust and will choke hard up top. Gtx3071 with a 0.82 hot side should have full mumbo at 2500 but with 300kw potential. All the meaty ass midrange without making so much power that it's unreliable and laggy, if you want power more progressively use a 1.06 hot side.
  20. If you want the best balance, smaller highflow good for 250ish on 98 then run it on e85 for high 200s and minimal lag for everyday Street use. Enough go to get you solidly moving but without the 3500+ rpm boost threshold. I'm not sold on the benefits of the 300kw+ ones vs off the shelf big buck engineering jobs. Surely a gtx3071/3076 will perform better for transient and response even if they make the same peak power.
  21. That's some excessively high standards. Not even dings allowed. [emoji50]
  22. Pretty sure grant just drove it like he stole it. Never shift below 4500, cruise at 2500-3000.
  23. Not with the flog. Disappointingly small tank though, takes 45L to fill when the fuel light comes on (~60km "range" remaining) and gets me a bit over 400km. ~60L tank would have been more appropriate imo.
  24. Disappointed by lack of motec system exhaust.
  25. I got 77L per 100km at Wakefield on 98 So it's about what you would expect usage to be for e85.
