  1. I c. Mines supposed to be good. Why isnt it compatible?
  2. DAM IT i can get a mines ECU for buga all, but i don't want to see if it will work if it blows something up. How do u mean?
  3. I visited a shop and inquired about an Apex-i PFC, according to them there isnt a unit that suits my car. So we then had a look for another brand a GREDDY stand alone but apparently this unit was also incompatible for my car, it being automatic. So now they are suggesting that the only unit i can fit in my car is a GREDDY E Manage. ( Piggy Back!) My Reply was "ahh uhmm No Thankz! Maybe Later." I want a Stand alone unit as i will be chasing more HP down the drack. Still my dillema is finding the most suitable unit for my GTSt Automatic S1. According to many Apex-i is the best selling unit in the market and that is why im keen on em. Just need to know if it is possible to chuck one in an Automatic. Im from Adelaide do any of you guys know any good mechanic from down here? A fellow from a Nissan dealer suggested WILLALL RACING, i've read some tech stuff from magazine and they have been mentioned a few times.
  4. I thought S2 came out with an improved ignition module and ECU.
  5. Which is the best and recommended ECU for an R33 GTSt automatic? Can go piggy back or stand alone just need to know which one? I have been told that Apex-i Pfc cannot be used on an automatic without tinkering with the unit. Has anyone who owns an automatic come across this issue? Also do i need to have my engine/ stock ECU tuned after having fitted an FMIC, Airfilter and EBC (boosted to 10.5psi) + iridium plugs set to .8mm? (Tuning as in DYNO?)
  6. Many thnx SMR33. (what does "an article reference is available mean"?) can somebody explain this please and if possible can some1 provide this to me please?
  7. am i better off going for SPLITFIRE Ignition as they're straight fit?
  8. Hi, Im not able to D/L Fast as im only a user for this computer. Can somebody run this number please ECR33 - 020232 with the complete specifics. Thnx
  9. I'll check it out. thanks for that link 'WogsRus' ! but can u give a brief on that? what sort of benefits/ advantage and disadvantages are there when changing to such system?
  10. Im running 10.5psi on a stock S1 turbo, Iridium plugs with gaps set at .8mm and it misfires between 4000 to 5000 rpm. The car has ran 130+000. what would be the ideal ignition system for the car? and what does wasted spark mean? By the way the car is Automatic (By preference) looking into upgrading the torque converter into high stall torque converter and a shift kit.
  11. Sounds like a lot of work. I've just found an article relating to my question. It is said that the S2 came out with better Ignition and ECU. Is it possible to just replace the ECU and COILS with S2 on an S1? Has this been done before? If so what advantages and disadvantages can one expect? The article also said that S2's have NEO HEADS for enviromental reasons and also increased performance. Will this be an issue if i change my S1 COILS and ECU with an S2 as my cylinder heads is not a neo? (Unless maybe i repalced my cylinder head with an S2 Neo.)
  12. Is it possible to fit S2 coil packs on an S1? Does S2 coil packs come with ignitor pack aswell? Some have said that theirs did not come with an ignitor pack is this right as my S1 has an ignitor pack?
  13. Is it possible to use an S2 coilpack on an S1? Mine misfires around 4000 - 5000 rpm just a little though. boost is set on 10.5 psi. Not sure how to silicon an S1 coilpack so im thinking maybe use an S2, is this possible?
