Hey guys, I purchased a used Tomei Short Shifter for an R33 Gtst gearbox now I went to install it and realised that the spacer that goes between the spring washer and locating pin collar was not in the kit. I should have checked the contents properly before I bought it but I was super rushed and just made sure that the obvious things were there and not the spacer. Anyhow does anyone know the dimensions of the Tomei spacer for an R33 Gtst or if you can buy another spacer and possibly a rubber boot. I bought a %10 Reduction Nismo shifter to But would rather use the Tomei as I heard they are quite good. If someone could post up the dimensions or know of any for sale etc that would be greatly appreciated cheers Nick
  2. Im sorry to dig this thread up from the grave BUT!!! I desperately want to contact Leigh (Extreme Turbo Manifolds) as I want one of his exhaust manifolds and some other bits and pieces I have called him in excess of 30 times at all different times of the day on 1300 MANIFOLDS I have also called (02) 4262 8774, aswell as his mobile. I can not find an email address and his site does not work at all. I have wanted one of these manifolds since he started on Calaisturbo.com, but since he has forgotten about the site that got him his start I cant contact him there either. So if someone knows Leigh (ETM) or an alternative way to contact him that would be much appreciated as I do not really want to go with Kyle (6Boost) as last time I talked to him it was rather unpleasant. Hey people's this is a great read, I am contemplating throwing in my EH Holden project and buying an R32 GTR, I will either be buying a completely stock standard GTR and modifying myself, or spending a lot more and buying a modified car that has had known modifications to it by the current owner (none of this "well the owner before the one i bought it off said he put forged etc etc") as i think a car that has "apparentaly" had half of australia's mechanics tinker with it seems like it will cost me more than its worth. Anyways, with all this in mind can anyone point me to a thread which is dedicated to R32's or 32 Gtr's problems and things to look out for, I have used the search function and keep getting directed back here so maybe there is an old thread I can be pointed to. Lastly if i bought a stock GTR that had NO major problems just 20year old wear and tear and Intended to replace suspension etc to get it back to driving almost like a new car using decent, but not top of the range componentry would $5000 be a safe budget to get it driving up to scratch. Hmm thanks for the reply oh well thats a bit of a spew i will just have to disable VCT or get an RB26 head for it instead can i stil retain the VCT loom or would i need to source a loom off a non vct head and once i have disabled vct can i just purchase valve springs and bigger cams to suit a non vct head?
  7. hey guys just reading this thread and some people have mentioned you cant upgrade cams with VCT is this true? as im looking to buy a fully forged rb30 and can get an Rb25head with VCT or an RB26 Head to go with it aiming for 300 - 400 rwkw so will prolly need cams will be going for a garrett 35/40 or T04z
  8. So you reckon it will be ok to buy >? I will save myself a couple of K if i do like i said is 1500km to much for a head that has been on track ?

Hey guys i am looking at an RB25 head atm that has already been modified to suit the RB30 it has 820cc injectors and has made 680hp it has done 1500km and it has all been track time, now i do not have enough experience in RB25 and stuff to know whether that is a lot of K's or whether or not to just do my own head up because i do not want to buy it and have it shit itself a few hundred K's later, please no abusing me i just want some positive criticism cheers.
