  1. Agreed. I reckon most bodykits ruin cars. Keep it stock yo!
  2. Haha great minds think alike!
  3. I ordered new plates RBR-033
  4. Agreed SLED. I'm starting to get really pissed off with the pepsinator and his mates. You guys are really bringing the forum quality down.
  5. Bayside Blue 34 GTR V-Spec heading south on South Rd near the tunnel roadworks... yummo! Stag, black I think in the industrial area of Mile End.
  6. Nah it's a manual. I'm not a fan of autos I think it was Troy I spoke to and he said they don't do transmissions anymore. But if he recommended MV Automatics then he must of assumed it was auto... why would he assume that... hmm
  7. A few clutch kicks to get it around the hairpin corner haha!
  8. Spotted GTR-R32 on cross roads today heading west. Couldn't give the wave... it happened so fast
  9. I just want the oil drained that's in it and maybe an inspection. The oil that's in it now is redline (don't know viscosity etc) but 1st to 2nd changes started to get tough when cold and made a slight syncro noise, now the same change iscrunching syncros on many of the changes even when warm. I read that redline oil isn't right in Skyline 'boxes and is responsible for syncro damage so I want it changed just to be safe. Yep it's a standard 5 speed. I gave MV a ring today but they guy I spoke to couldn't help me because it was a manual. He said they only do automatics.
  10. Will do, thanks!
  11. Yeah but they can't do my car because it ain't an auto So anyone know of a reputable workshop that does transmission services? Freaken Redline oil!
  12. Hey all I need to get myself a tranny service. Boostworx don't do it but recommended MV Automatics but they only do autos so does anyone know a good place I can take the line to?
  13. Ha, yeah I may have come across a little harsh on defence driving courses. But I just don't support them. From the comments I hear from people who have attended these courses all they say is you get to thrash your car around for a day. From the small benefit you may receive I just don't see how you can put this knowledge into practice in that split second moment before a crash when you have the chance to go left or right, brake or accelerate. Call me crazy but one day of tuition will not save you in an accident and will not make you a better driver. You need practice to build up you EXPERIENCE... damn that word is popping up a lot!
  14. Defence driving is a waste of time! You reckon half a day of tuition will help you make a split second decision 2 years down the track? EDIT: You may as well take your car out to ya local Kmart one night and skid around... same result and you save $300
  15. Agreed, but on the racetrack you get a different type of experience; the experience of your car on the limit. And in a situation which could lead to an accident I'm sure that sort of experience would be better than normal day-to-day driving experience.
  16. And what's the crash count now stewy? lol
  17. My opinion is if you need help selecting a car chances are you don't have much automotive knowledge. And, again in my opinion, a person with limited automotive knowledge would be more likely to thrash, disrespect and/or crash their newly acquired turbo jap car because they simply don't understand the theory behind driving fast with safety and general car care. Countless times I have read knobs posting things such "why doesn't my car go any higher than 7000rpm? I have it flat but it doesn't go any higher?". That's just one example of a noob with a skyline. I support the people who are encouraging this guy to start small. It'll give him a chance to learn how to drive and look after a car.
  18. Get an E30 BMW. That was my second car. Super good handling for a stock car, quickish and comfortable. Don't waste your money on a skyline or something like that because you'll probably crash it showing off to your mates.
  19. It says in the owners manual if you've just been city driving to switch off straight away so I suppose 5 mins of sedate driving is exactly the same. If you're driving for 5mins off the turbo then it gives it plenty of time to cool down.
  20. +1 for Hyundai Excel lolz
  21. I'll only have about 2 or 3 so you 3 guys have them. I should have them tomorrow night so I'll let you know!
  22. I'll be there... I have cheap tix and might have a few spare if anyones wants em!
  23. ^^Hehe +1... even though I don't play too many PC games. Damn the laptop's dodgey video card!
