If you unplug the vacuum hose (and not plug up the hose) it wont really work because the standard bov's leak, they have a small hole in em underneath therefore introducing a vac leak so you'd really need to block it either with a plate in between the bov and the pipe its screwed onto or put something in between the hose connected to the bov and the return pipe going to the intake pipe. That works well with no leaks but if you don't have it tuned to compensate for the added fuel it throws in the car will start backfiring on ya cos of the AFM. Thats the only thing i don't like about AFM cars... its the shit you get when messing with vented/ blocked bov's.

Does it really effect your lives if someone has blocked their bov on their car to get the flutter noise? The poor bloke was just asking a question, and to answer his question would be to get a stainless steel intake pipe made up which would in effect make the "dosage" louder. But the blocking of the BOV on ceramic turbos would probably make it shatter. So instead of tututututu you get the vuuuuuuuu..... BANG!

Hi everyone, I've got a few items for sale which I hope might interest some people... My pics are a bit sh!t but i hope it gives you a fair idea of what it is.... All items are used but in great condition! Pickup in Melbourne is more than welcome and will post interstate for the prices stated below. All these came out of my car pretty much at the same time, so they've been working fine in my R33. 1st up is a JVC KD-S595 Head unit. This is in perect working order. Detatchable face, wiring loom and case, comes with its original box also. Asking for $55. Delivered express post for $10. COD is a little extra.. 2nd is a pair of Pioneer TS-A1665 3 way Speakers 6 1/2" 180watt max and 50 watt rms. I'd like to sell these for $50 ono, again pickup is welcome or delivered express post is $10 and COD is a little extra. 3rd is a R33 GTST/GTR Manual Dash cluster surround.. dunno its exact name but it looks pretty good when its on there It suits the cars with the EL white face dials more but looks just as good with the standard dials. Looking for $35 for this and postage will only be $5 express post shall i need to send it anywhere, again COD is a little more than $5. SOLD! Lucky last is my backup batter siren, this came with my car but i've upgraded my alarm so when you upgrade everything comes out! This worked fine in my car and can be wired up to suit any alarm, 1 wire is the trigger wire and the other 2 are a constant + and -. Also comes with the key to shut it up! Would ideally like around $30 for this. Postage is only $10 and COD again is a little extra.

Agreed.... Or just get the tuner to put the inj in and tune it straight after, but they wont work with standard ecu, it'll just over fuel and die on its arse as Topaz said.

If your from melb you might be familiar with Rosamond Rd near Highpoint shopping centre, just a little warning for everyone that might drive past there cos usually at night theres this big fat bloke that stands on the corner of rosamond rd and ballarat rd asking for money, the excuse is that he needs it for his car thats broken down to get some money for juice (but really he's lost it at the f*kn pokies!), everyone he goes upto obviously says no and i've spoken to alot of people who has been approached by him. But one day this bloke looks like he's gona snap and kick the shit outa someone! So watch out at those lights at the corner of rosamond rd and ballarat rd going towards buckly st in footscray, right next to the palms pokies place. Take it to someone who is reputable for their fitting of car audio/security. Auto elecs will look at it and scratch their heads, if you take it somewhere thats always busy like jb-hifi/ autobarn then they'll hack your car and take your $$, thats just car audio these days unless you find someone legit which sometimes can be challenging, word of mouth is usually the best way. I have the number for that place in melb if you still need it...

Thats true but experience pays off no matter what they sell, if they have some young blokes even old that arn't very experienced then its the blind leading the blind, but you're right they should one way or another be able to sort out that issue even if they contact DEI directly. Remote start isn't exactly an essential anyways, as long as it does the job i.e. locking/ unlocking the doors and arming the vehicle i suppose thats all you need from an alarm?

Yea i think it might be the IGN wire.. it might be that it needs the extra kick because it'll start when its warm, alot of people that fit alarms (inexperienced people) don't look for the IGN wire that holds IGN whilst cranking which i'll bet is the one you need. (i think lol)

JB Hi-Fi are probably the best people to go to for a bargain on car audio, especially if you know someone there, or even tell em you can get it cheaper at a store down the road they'll drop their price straight away!

But in regards to answering your question its a little hard to know exactly what the problem is... It might be giving a charge but not holding IGN after it cranks or might be because these cars have more than 1 IGN wire, the friend of a friend couldhave put it to the wrong one which doesn't hold IGN while cranking? Hey dude.. the screen would have aux input for the video, if you get a single din dvd player on its own which are quiet cheap these days it would work for sure! Its the same concept as a home dvd player and tv except the speaker wires etc would be coming straight from the dvd player just the screen playing the video. Hope this helps! Cheers George
