  1. Well I got a fellow form work so now we are only 2 off. If everyone pays that has said they will, we will have the ten required. Still 25 cars is the target, now we have until the 18th to get more people in. A HUGE thanks to FRINK bringing in 4 cars.
  2. Well we have 3 people paid up and some interest by others. We need 10 people paid up by the 2nd September else the day will NOT go ahead, and then I need to refund everybody. Get your friends, relatives etc to come.
  3. Sorry not to be there, your address was not accessible when the forums went down.
  4. Ahhh... minor stuff up It is actually the Saturday which is 22nd. I need to stop posting late at night.
  5. Yep, go into a local Commonwealth bank and they can put it right in. Your own local bank should be able to do it as well, but it will take longer and possibly have fees. I'm also out on some Fridays. I'll post in the friday thread when I am.
  6. Looking for a volunteer to organise... Glen?
  7. Sounds great, I doubt I can make it. But I'd love to see the results.
  8. Any car is welcome. I want to fill up all the 25 spots so tell your friends etc. No motorcycles though, I did ask.
  9. You know you can purchase a sales area on the forum not just spam the board.

After the 18th you can give your run to another person but will not receive a refund. How do you make tabs or spaces in this forum?!!!!!!!!!
  11. Yep my commo was pinched from there, real dumb thieves. An immobiliser would have prevented them stealing it. Do some research into the tracking systems, I think you will find none of them work in the ACT. I know a few people in the ACT willing to spend big $ on alarm systems but looked into satellite systems and passed them up due to their ineffectiveness in the ACT.
  12. Well some turned up, it was so windy we pilled into one car until to many turned up.
  13. I'm going out tonight. Wear something very warm that wind is strong at times.
  14. Glennieboy gets fist dibs :-) I'll PM it. Tomorrow. Yes I know many female friends still unattached, you have to turn up to events to meet them though. Probably only interested in 25+yo with a fun but mature outlook. We all think Shell is just ...GORGEOUS... already. Hey can whoever took the late night photo post it up, there's been high level of interest in it and I might use it as my avatar!!!.
  15. Just thought I'd add the busty Jane who was very nice and picked up all our pizza's is single and I have her number/email. Just incase anyone was interested.
  16. Hi all, This is a test and a demonstration to see if we can create a plan for some planned events for ourselves. I will update this post with the proposed events discussed in this thread. Please post ideas on events, but we really need people who are willing to put their hands up and organise an event. Even if the event only attracts 3 people, so make it an event you enjoy. 17. It was a great night and I thank everyone for coming. Some outcomes from the night • It is clear that there is no desire to start a separate club just for the ACT, for reasons of excessive paperwork and there are so many other clubs serving similar interests. • There was a strong desire to be affiliated with another club for insurance purposes • SAU NSW was the preferred affiliated club, but others were discussed • Skylines have an image problem of young idiotic hoons, need to portray a club without idiots and possibly more mature in nature. (the people attending showed a maturity that a club needs and it was well received by the two guests (with GTR) from the Canberra Street Rides club) • There was a strong desire from most at the meeting to be responsible for at least one event a year per person • Having about 6 motoring events a year was proposed • Having another 6 social or non-motoring events making a monthly event was proposed • Joining in on another clubs events (where invited) was suggested as a way to hold events with minimum effort • Several businesses have already expressed support if the club forms • Paintball is back on the events list (I am to organise) • Events must be open to all members of the club • Where possible a premium is charged to non members to attend to encourage joining. There were many other suggestions and lots of talk on maintenance of GTR's and a general fun atmosphere. Action items Create a thread on the ACT events section to generate a proposed events list and volunteer to organise the event for us. The possible events list above will be used to demonstrate that we have enough willing people to organise events to discuss with SAU NSW etc. Discuss in more detail with SAU NSW about a possible affiliation
  18. Well the reving nature of the RB can put many off. It handles like no "normal" type car.
  19. Well make it when you can, if you can. 6.30 for 7pm Last one there gets pizza.
  20. Good night guys, wind was so cold we went into Braddon. Could you believe someone didn't like their GTR?
  21. As I understand it keep left is only active on roads in excess of 80km/h by national road rules. Unless there is a sign specifying to keep left. During peek periods the keep left rule is not active due to traffic congestion.
  22. Knock must be related to "road noise" in some way. I normally get 5-13 knock for all onroad action, however when driving over some rough dirt roads I had knock up to 23.
  23. Yes did it for several months, but very infrequently. Risk factor is small as the intercooler will stop any large items if they dislodge. Saying that small bits can still do damage.
