Yer true.. but im also looking at it for like ummm speed.. like itll be quicker for us to rip it out and put one back in.... Then to wait to have something rebuilt etc... If i didnt need a house i wouldnt have worried about the moeny and rebuilt it with new turbos... nearly did it to be honest...

Hey mate, yer its decided im getting a nother engine delievered to my door for around $4000... Rebuilding would have topped $10000... Shame cos i love the car but need the cash

Well im getting the complete engine from Perth.. Was going to go with the bare engine in an Adelaide wreckers but after speaking to them wasnt happy with what they had to say etc. Could compression test it, had no idea the amount of kms its done, not even sure if it ran fine before removal. Asked what happens if i put it in and its a crap engine. They said that fine bring it back and we will swap it for another one. lol you think im putting an engine in, then removing it again then putting another in etc etc lol. So yer should be here end of the week.... But now my mechanic has to have a hernia op... lol cant win!! (poor guy tho!) Fingers crossed all works out ok...

No probs mate But guys the sale of all these items will be put off a couple weeks my apologise... My mechanic has done a hernia and will need an opperation. SO i cant get my hands on these items for a few weeks... But these will definatly be for sale and any one that messages me will have first dibs on them when they are off. Sorry for being a pain!

Hey all, Im currently stripping my 33 GTR back to standard to sell. Parts are to suit the 33 GTR but most to all will also suit the 33 GTST. Im in Adelaide. All prices are ONO and are negotiable. Freight will be at buyers expense on top of written price. Also if your in Adelaide ill be happy to deliver. Most items are new and if there not they have traveled less then 1000kms on the car. R33 GTR or GTST GREDDY Air Diversion panel Its Aluminum With Greddy stamped on it. Brand New still has the blue protective cover on it and in box. $160 R33 GTR or GTST Plastic Air Diversion panel This one runs from headlight to headlight. Never seen one like it. Needs a bit of work to get perfect but looks to fit ok. $120 R33 GTR or GTST Carbon GTR end caps. To suit the R33 GTR wings. Brand new still in the packet. Hard to get I believe $200 R33 GTR or GTST N1 Carbon Wing Blade Used but in excellent condition. No cracks or sun fading etc. Light as a feather. Only on my car a short time. $500 R33 GTR (unsure if it can be cut to GTST) Blank Key Uncut still in box. Perfect condition. Genuine GTR key $120 Other parts that will be avaliable in the coming month. They are slowly being removed from my GTR. And will list prices etc as they are removed. Cheers mate. Yer he will have a look in beofre i do anything... Im just working on worst case scenario... It was knocking BAD BAD not for to long tho as when i worked out what it was i traliered it everywhere. Yer id rather not rebuild as i need to sell. and trying to come away as cheap as possiable...

Yer true and i really need to get rid of the car for the house so an engine in out swap sounds a lot easier then any rebuild etc

not sure what bearing.... But they said the head would need a recon or freshen up etc just by the sound of it, if that makes sense... and also said even if the crank can be saved it would be over $500 to have it tidied up etc

Well i took it to boostworks and they had a listern and said it has a huge knock and the main bearing was spun. Full engine rebuild. Including new crank, head recon, recon the bores etc etc

Oh and as far as can i hold onto it. I really cant have it sitting around to long. So it will be brought back to standered and sold off cheap cheap.... Then ill sell off the proformance parts Sometimes i think its easier and CHEAPER to sell off the girlfriend lol

lol! But seriously i cant really keep the car and buy a house so the car will be sold off. Which i am pretty cut about but hey cant have it all right... And as far as the labour costs i have a friend who is a mechanic who will pull out the engine and replace the engine back in it for me etc so there wont be any charge there. Also he will pull it down and put the other parts on the new engine if need be etc... Im loiking the idea of going to the wreckers in Adleaide. As has been said, its just less of a hassel. You go there pick it up done etc.... But yer i was just asking for advice thats all

Ive contacted a few wreckers and the cheapest RB26 is around $7500. But that comes with everything, manifolds, turbos etc etc 3 months warentee. So i could sell off my old engine plus turbos etc as i wont need it... There is a private sale in Perth, $4000 comes with everything so again i could sell it all off and come out cheaper etc but of course no warentee etc... But one wreckers will do it for $3500 but its a bare bare engine. Plus you have to give them your old Bare engine.... also 3 months warentee... What would you do?? Is it worth the chance with the private sale that the engine is good etc etc? As it will work out cheaper in the long run? Or do the $3500 for a bare engine and put it all together myself but then wont be able to sell anything, may work out a bit more expensive but have the warentee... Or go the $7500 and try to recope some of my money by selling off all of my old parts and old engine etc..? Just a bit up in the air....
