  1. the turbos have no 'model' or 'series' as such. rb20 turbo would be closer to a T25, and the R33/R34 turbo would be closer to a T28. both using T3 flanges.
  2. my clutch makes a hissing sound when it's at the friction point. it's an excedy sports tuff. it's been bled properly etc but i just started noticing this sound lately. it's fairly loud, and you can hear it from inside the car. any idea what it could be? is it normal?

  5. ball bearing, nylon compressor wheel, ceramic exhaust wheel
  6. didn't think of that. i'll earth out the wire coming from the loom and post my result. cheers.
  7. haha i like
  8. but the sensor wire is cut, therefore the sensor is not in use. so what would be the cause of the light STILL coming on?
  9. engine bay pics?
  10. sad to hear, rest in peace
  11. generally age would make a difference, as older coils would be more liable to causing missfire. if you can find cheap oem coilpacks then it's worth the try.

yeah it will be fine. i use BP ultimate and caltex vortex 98. never had a problem.
  13. go to any auto store and ask for NGK BKR7E
  14. most exhaust places could make a custom one for your setup
  15. as topic says, looking for nissan consult cable for nissan datascan software.
  16. after those few ~38 degreee days of this summer, it seems the sensor itself has shit itself. the cat light in the cluster of my car is randomly flickering on and off. i'm not thinking the cat has shit itself because i havn't seen any difference in performance. i've gone ahead and cut the sensor wire but the problem still persists. i don't have any aftermarket managment like the powerfc so what could be the problem causing this?
  17. pics please
  18. where abouts you located?
  19. +1, would like detail on this theory.
  20. smaller turbos, better response. bigger turbos, higher power.
  21. it depends on what your goal power is for your car and for what use. alot of people say the ideal turbo for an rb20 is the hks2530, but the r33 hiflow will do fine.
  22. in the area with friends for nye. drunk. sleep. wake up. cosmic gate @ metro, new years night. loving life.
  23. i use: motul turbo light 10-40w engine oil, works a treat! ryco oil and fuel filters, they've never given me any issues. as for spark plugs; the rb20 is fussy with spark plugs. a few friends and i found the NGK BKR7E to be the best for the rb20, and are only a couple dollars each. i also tried the NGK BCPR7E but didn't like those, they caused slight misfiring. i have a set of NGK platinums that i brought a while back, which i wasted a good $110 for as they are completely crap and kept misfiring. if you do decide to go with the BKR7E, make sure not to get the BKR7E-11 as they're a 1.1mm gap and will get blown out during boost. it's trial and error with spark plugs. any high rating radiator coolant will do fine. and redline shockproof for the gearbox. make sure to change engine oil and oil filter every 5,000km, fuel filter and spark plugs every 10,000km. my2c!
