Sidd, had an engagement party this weekend, and turns out I'm one of the groomsmen (wasn't aware, got there and it's like oh!) Anyway, it's a while off, possibly 18 months or so, but I'll be trying to lean them towards your work as it's just amazing.

I guess it kinda goes both ways: if you don't get pulled over and checked a lot, count yourself lucky, but if you do, just cop it sweet (pardon the pun). As long as you can stay polite, you'll be fine.

True, I think they'd err on the side of "yes it's in the system, but we'll just check to be 100% sure". While it might come across as excessive, they're just checking you haven't chucked the keys to a mate or something, I guess.

I'd figure you'd get pulled over a lot; they'd be expecting you to be a P-plater who just decided to drive a restricted car. Even with an exemption, I guess it depends on your attitude at the time and if there's anything else they want to look at, but if you were in, for example, a stock XR8 Falcon with good tyres and you had an exemption letter with you at all times and were polite about it, you should be fine. But yeah, you'll definitely get pulled over a lot.
