  1. with all those parts bolted to your RB20det, you'll get worse than stock. actually you'll be lucky if you can get the thing to idle or even start. I shouldn't have to explain why
  2. Dear wannabemod cs student the edit function is not available on the forums to prevent scammers editing their posts. Please resolve this issue at once so that I may prevent the evil spambots from attacking our good friend sydneykid by way of intraweb electronic mail. Best regards, member with high warning level due to smartarse remarks.
  3. he got "approved" for a loan UP to $20K as for getting a loan for a depreciating asset, that's a dumb story on it's own.
  4. DC2R S14A ST205 GT4 SW20 (not sure if there were any AUS turbo ones) WRX's of all kinds 300zx (again.. not sure of any aus turbo ones) GSR (with evo conversion) Plenty of cars to choose from.
  5. you can be as biased as you like. but the fact is that an EVO 7 or 8 shits on an R34 GTT from so high that it lands on the skyline as a frozen chunk of space dung. there is NOTHING that an R34GTT can do that the evo can't do ALOT better/quicker. what is the price difference?.. perhaps if the price was $15K cheaper for the R34 gtt, and you were willing to spend that extra $15K on the R34GTT, then perhaps it might be OK..ish in comparison to the evo

nah... I can't find a place near by that will do the work for me on a weekend and I use the car every other day. I'll probably sell the car soon as it's being wasted on me. so I've got this and a set of stockers with new tyres I want to get rid of. and a pod filter with adapter. I'll look to sell the car in the new year.
  7. that difference in tyre will make 3.6% dfference. so if the speedo shows 100km, you would be doing 96.4km http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html very sweet car.

  9. yeah man.. definitely get an R34 GTT over an EVO
  10. Gary.Cook (at] superiorsuspension.com.au you're welcome
  11. Too many Rabbits... ceffie, with stock exhaust and 0.9 bar boost = 14.2 if you are lucky. mid 14's would be more correct. especially after say first 2 runs. that stock cooler would be nice and toasty, exhaust temps will be huge, the poor stock turbo would be about to give up. Stock speedo and stop watches... let me guess, you are measuring 400m using your dash trip meter as well? cause that will be absolutely accurate on a 20 year old car, not to mention one that has 245's making it even more accurate.

no interest in a cheap FMIC option. just incase you do not know about them stock xr6t (the model this came from) is 240kw at the engine. this cooler is usually upgraded as part of Stage 3 mods which is usually when they want MORE than 280-290rwkw. the size will keep lag to a minimum (less than you will get with the usual 600x300 cooler). and using the stock piping means no cutting holes in the engine bay. being 170mm tall also means no chopping of the REO bar.. essentially making this LEGAL.
  13. anything below 10 psi usually seems to be fine. sometimes 10psi and usually anything over that causes the ecu to go in to a rich and retard state. basically to you it means when you floor it and the revs get to about 4500rpm, it feels like it cuts out or misfires or loses power etc. it's not nice. a remap ($350+ ) is the cheapest option to resolve this.. search for thread by user TOSHI for remap info.
  14. *nods* I've had many of those..
  15. well I better not.. since I'm already at 60% warning due to someone elses power trip issues.
  16. kids crack me up..
  17. do you want to know what I think?
  18. yeh they do. you (or the person installing the cooler) would need to make a few mounting brackets and bolt them to the reo to hold the cooler in place, and then the remaining piping obviously... but that's is it. a couple of holes in to the reo to hold the cooler in place is all that needs cutting (well drilling).
  19. LOL.. nice turn of events..
  20. well in Straya, we don't call cars cookies.
