Okay Dont shoot me, Got a few Q's on the R33 Type M
HOTR33 replied to a topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
OK.. I own an R33 Type-M.. And Type-M Dosen't mean it's a 'Turbo' .. it is a GTS-t Type-M that I own.. Not a standard GTS-t... THe Type-M has different lower body parts, Chamelion Paint, a Duel Entry, Hi-Flow Ball Bearing Turbo and different gear ratio's... It is a slightly different Car, which is why the price is usually that little bit higher... GTS-t Type-M + GTS-t = Different Cars -
In Kilowatts.. at least 200+ .... like I said.. just rough calculations...
-
never dyno tuned.. but using off the top of my head calculation... I'd say at least 250bhp+ at the wheels... thats only a rough guess tho..
-
Ok, My Mods are as follows : - Go Fast Bits Boost Controller (Currently Set to 12 PSI) - Duel Entry Ball Bearing Turbo - Blitz Turbo Timer - Blitz Adjustable Struts/Suspension - HKS Pod Filter - HKS Performance Clutch - HKS 4' Down Pipe from the turbo, Into a Hi-Flow Cat, into a 3' Custom Exhaust - Autometer Boost Guage - Avanti 17' Deep Dish Rims - JVC MP3 Player, with 4 Pioneer 3 way 6' Speakers, and a 600watt Avantgarde Competition Amp feeding power to a 500Watt 12' Clarion Subwoofer in Custom Box with Custom Graphics .....The mechanic said that my piston collapsed, which I'm not 100% about but hey, in the end I don't car as long as it's all fixed... I'll know more by the end of today as he's pulling the motor apart today.. Hope that helps

Something Great from Something Horrible
HOTR33 replied to HOTR33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Well INASNT I got the car from Success Motor Imports in Garden Vale (You'd know the owners Stagea, it's been in HPI several times) ....and the warranty isn't tru them, it's a company they buy the warranty's from... and as for all the nice performance parts ... they are paying for a standard rebuild.. not a high performance one.. unfortunatly -
Yea, I was lucky I had the option.. which means I don't have to pay a thing.. which I am happy about.. I'll never turn down a free rebuild

Hey All.. I'll fill you in on what the bad part of my story is... 2 weeks ago I met up with R31Nismoid up in Sunshine for a cruise, and after a bit of 'harder-than-average' driving, one of my pistons failed causing my car to turn into smoke blowing, un-driveable piece of japanese metal... But After getting it towed home, to SEAFORD... and then to the mechanic I learnt the terrific news Yesterday that the 3 yr warranty I bought when I got the car, is going to pay for the full cost of a rebuild.. Mmm.. Rebuilt RB25.. BUT, The reason for my post is mainly a question.. Anyone out there had their motor (RB25DET) rebuilt? And what was it like afterwards? Like what can I look forward to? Besides an engine that should run smoother than factory... Anyone got some comments on What I can look forward to? Cheers

Hey All.. Just a quickie.. Anyone got an exact part number for a cam belt for both R32 and an R33, and where a good place to get them is? Might be time to change soon, so it'd be a help Cheers All

I don't doubt your money spending skills.. I have some my self.. But hey.. each to their own in regards to what they do to their car... THATS why the term 'rice' is floating around today.. simply because.. each to their own *Not implying these Xenon lights are ricey.. * (protecting my self from the flame's)
-
Well another way to look at is is 1200 split down would look like this.. $600.oo = New Tyres $165.00 = Fine Associated with defect notice after cops seeing bald rear tyres $435.oo = fixing everything else they *** you over for all up = $1200.oo But still.. I no a guy with a second hand HKS intercooler for sale @ $1190.oo ...and it's only done 2 drag races.. it's been imported from Japan.. good quality.. I'd rather that than headlights
-
Hmm.. Altho Xenon lights look nice the thing I am wondring is why would you want to convert/buy your headlights anyway? I mean all the prices I hear floating around is a lot of money.. and granted you may have it sitting there doing nothing... But the biggest price I heard so far was $1200 ...now I'm sure I could find an intercooler for that price.. or better yet.. 2 new rear tyre's My point is.. or question rather is.. Why? Whats the big deal? cant you go to auto barn and just buy some white globes? or just get the 'ole 50% extra light ones.. I mean lights light.. at the end of the day, if you can see the road, thats all that really matters.. but thats just my opinion

Thanks For the Info Guys.. Very Much Appreciated! Cheers..

Att : Zdenko That'd be great mate... that way when we need the stuff we know the part numbers, rather than having the tool behind the counter look tru a book for ages, and STILL give us the wrong part... If you could Zdenko it's be very much appreciated.. Cheers..

Hey All.. It's Service time for my friends Skyline(s) ...(32 and 33 GTS-t's) .. And I thought I post it not just for him.. but for myself OK, easy questions... 1. What Oil Filter is on these cars? Ie. Part number, brand etc... 2. Whats the Best Spark Plugs? Any Other general service tips or good parts to use would be good.. We are the sorta people that prefer to do everything possible our selves (just short of rebuilding the b!tch) ... So yea.. Cheers !

Hmm.. I totally agree with you.. it's all bullshit to give the men in power longer vacations and bigger homes.. But in the end.. everyone on this forum COULD vote them out.. but in the end.. I bet you a speeding fine a a parking infringement, they stay in It's a conspiracy I tells ya!!

Hey All.. A Concept that I've been familiar with, but never gone into ... is Adjusting the Stock BOV to get a 'fluttering' sound.. Apparently you block something.. but as I've not given any thought into it.. I've not tried anything.. So Does anyone know what the go is with adjusting your stock BOV to get a Fluttering sound? Cheers..
