  1. i can get pics has aircon fitted, but there is a hole in one of the hoses, so it just blows hot air
  2. I was walking along High Street in Toowong this afternoon on my lunch break around 4:15pm, when i spotted a nice, clean looking 98 or 99 model WRX, with some larger 5-spoke rims (probably 17's or 18's) sitting a the traffic lights with a White Series II R33, with a big "X-Cars" Sticker on the lefthand rear 1/4 (couldn't see if there was one on the other side as well) behind it. the WRX got halfway through the intersection (going straight ahead), and then decided to change its mind where it was going and turned left sharply (holding up traffic) - i thought this was a bit weird so i looked closer - there were 2 uniformed officers in the car (one male and one female) - i walked up next to the R33 to warn him and looked in - uniformed officer in that too! now, i don't know if they are their personal cars, or if they are new undercover cars, but now you guys and girls have to be doubly careful who you give it a squirt around! P.S. the WRX had a rather loud ATMO BOV - maybe i should have given him a citizens defect notice?
  3. Hi all, i need this car gone by the end of this weekend, as it turns out it is not suitable for what i want it for. has a brand new battery (i bought it less than a week ago) with 2 years warranty i just did an oil and oil filter change, and new spark plugs less than a week ago as well. no roadworthy or rego, selling 'as-is' the car runs/drives/stops/turns okay i can provide a list of what is required for 'proper' RWC (there is a little bit that needs doing, but not overly huge stuff) or you could get a dodge-worthy if you want a cheap run-around want it gone this weekend as i have no space for it! $200 ONO (the battery alone cost over half of this!)
  4. yeah, i know i start work at 12:15 today so i'm going to start getting ready for work in a minute
  5. Hey guys, just thought i would give a bit of a plug to my suspension guy as i was down there this morning dropping the new car off for a RWC and he told me that he is now a supplier of the Aussie-spec Teins (he is a licensed Fulcrum distributor). he let me know that if any of you guys want a setup, he's happy to do it at very competetive prices (i.e. cheaper than most places) and unlike a lot of places, these guys actually have a brain in their head and seem to know what they are doing (the owner/business has his own Evo lancer that is built to compete in dirt rallys) anyway, if you're looking for some new suspension, or even just any suspension/mechanical work carried out, give him a call. Ask for Shaun and tell him Jason with the white skyline 'SIR32' sent you Tyres & More 4 - 6 Dixon St Strathpine, QLD, 4500 (07) 3205 7500 edit: Execs - if you wanted, we could probably approach him about becoming a sponsor for the club as well - Msg me if you want
  6. congrats on finding it... could i please get a PM with the name of this caryard so i know never to use them? if this isn't resolved by next week, i'm actually on holidays, and will be rather bored, so i would be free to come down to the caryard to provide 'moral support'* if you have anything you wish to say to them *by moral support i mean i'm a rather large scary guy
  7. ah, i wondered if that was anyone on here! you were in the Silver '34 Sedan?
  8. ah, damn! was gonna say i'll take this
  9. you guys must have different ways of wiring in alarms down in mexico land then.
  10. never heard of that, but okay, if you say so
  11. usually an alarm won't stop it from cranking though....
  12. i pick up my new car tonight... YAY!
  13. usually takes a fair whack of power to turn the starter. sometimes if you get a flat battery that is drained enough, it doesn't even have enough power to throw out the solenoid in the starter to engage it... (the clicking noise with a 'normal' flat battery) we get it all the time at work (i work in roadside assistance) where people say "but all the lights on the dash/headlights/etc are working, the engine just won't crank" - 99.99% of the time it is a flat battery.
  14. sounds like a flat battery to me
  15. i've got nothing against the use of recycled water... in fact, i'm all for it the water i said i would not use is recycled water FROM A CARWASH... i.e. Carlovers etc. i.e. the same water that has had 11ty billion wankers washing their 4wd's and boats with etc, and contains more chemicals than ???? (i can't even think of anything that would contain as many chemicals etc that this water would)
  16. no, actually i'm not. you are saying to me that you have been working your arse off to find solutions - that is what we need (in other words, i applaud you and your work) what we didn't need are politicians who have taken this long to listen to people like yourself and implement those solutions. (i.e. the 'Cabinet', who as you put it, are not on your side)
  17. SAU Carwash day @ Josh's house? he supplies the bishes in bikinis?
  18. Andrew, if you feel the need to take this personally, go ahead, just know that i wasn't aiming anything i said at you or anyone on this forum (as mentioned previously), i'm just having a general rant.
  19. hey, jawsh, do you guys have water restrictions on the coast?
  20. and for the record, i'm not a heartless bastard who is going to wash my car regardless, i will probably conform just like everyone else and get a rainwater tank to use to wash the car (though stuffs me where the hell i'm going to put it... live in a townhouse). I'm just airing my opinion about how stupid this whole situation is, and how i'm not very happy about having to lose EVEN MORE money... not like the government doesn't f**k us at every other opportunity that they get... why not f**k us to just live as well?
  21. well, i'm sorry, but they should have thought of that years ago, instead of waiting until now and going "OHNOES! WHERE HAS ALL OUR WATER GONE!?!?!!!111one1" it obviously didn't dissapear overnight... it's been going for years, yet they chose to ignore the fact. The finger is pointed squarely at a lazy government
  22. seems nobody seems to be worried about getting screwed over at all, so rather than continue arguing, i'm out later
