Well, i know where i can get a near-new condition R33 wheel from a Wreckers for $110, so i'd probably be wanting to spend $70 - $80 or so.... i'm after decent condition, like, it doesn't have to be 'perfect' but i don't want one thats worn to buggery either

Thanks for the replys so far, all... I've checked the power steering fluid and it seems fine, so i guess it must just be the steering wheel (will check the codes for both ECU and HICAS on the weekend) Will go and check my coils now and let you know how i go

Hi All I bought my first skyline yesterday (an R32 GTS-t) and i have a few questions (already :Oops: ) about things i've noticed... Do these cars have a factory boost cut? I've noticed that if i get up it a bit in like 2nd or 3rd (or 4th on the highway), higher in the rev range (i.e. above around 4.5k rpm) and around 12psi (it has a catback exhaust, pod filter and BOV... can't see a boost controller in there anywhere... does the amount of boost sound right?), it feels like its hit a wall (i.e. a boost cut type thing) and seems to lose power, exhaust pops (like its running rich) etc... is this the factory boost cut? do they even have a factory boost cut? or is it something more sinister? :confused: Also, i've noticed that my Hicas light comes on on the dash intermittently, but if i switch the car off and restart it, it goes away... the car does have an aftermarket steering wheel (which will be replaced with a stock one soon) so i'm hoping its just a case of the hicas sensors not being aligned properly.. Hi all I'm looking at purchasing an R32 and i was wondering if there are any reputable workshops in Brisbane that know their skylines well that would be able to have a look over the car to tell me if there's anything majorly wrong with it? Hi all, i'm very seriously thinking of trading in my 1986 Ford Sierra Turbo on a R32 GTS-t that i've found sitting in a yard here in Brisbane. Now, i was just wondering what sort of things i should look out for with these cars? what are the common problems i should look out for before buying it, etc etc? I know its had a minor front end hit at some stage (bonnet and grille have been replaced with original GTR items, front bar was replaced, radiator support has been repaired and front guards were straightened) but apart from that i can't see any accident damage etc. Its only got simple mods from what i can see (BOV, K&N pod filter, 'drift' style steering wheel, clutch feels heavier than normal, harder springs) its got 154,000km (appear to be original... non wound-back) other than that a very straight, and clean example... so, what should i look for, as i've never owned a skyline before Thanks in advance Jason

Hi All... Just thought i'd join up and say that i had a great day, even though i didn't participate... it was awesome going for a ride in Luke(?)'s skyline, and also Raymonds (sil21jun) silvia! I loved it! I have a fair few photos of the cars, and i'll shrink them (they're huge) but i don't have anywhere to host them... anyone wanting to do some hosting for me?
