Just did a bit of a search...the one in my car is an MX40 Dual Immobilizer... What is it worth? Keeping it and adding the siren or pull it out? Also need to get second remote to work? (not the battery)

Can a new mongoose alarm use an old one together with it. As my car had one installed, but has been removed; except the immobilizer is still there. And thinking i might need a new one as the spare remote does not unlock or disengage immobilizer.

How'd you go with painting these, is there a coat of black everywhere bar the letters and has the letters got plastic primer and a coat of white paint? will red shine through this as it looks like u used super bright white. I don't want to try if it will stuff it up that is all. Does anyone know what is used in the clear factory ones to make them light up, as i have ordered my series1 garnish without seeing it at all, and the bloke on the phone has said it is chrome. now whether he classifies the s1 ones as chrome is another thing. If it is it would be a waist to paint it, and i will be getting chrome led lights eventually.

did a bit of a re-wire with it...threw em back into their right terminals...static went to the other side, rca was a little loose so i have tightened them up will see how it goes 2nite.

I realize that it would have to be connected to the reverse lights but stopping the brake lights from turning on as well...i want the white lights to come on in reverse having the reds shut off till out of gear (reverse). I'm thinking the use of a relay but will have to study up as I'm not sure how they work.

Hi, i have 2 800w alpine amps in my boot (one for subs, one for speakers)...when i bought the car there was a noise coming from the front drivers tweeter, when a bump was hit the noise would disappear. The noise is a static crackle, that is constant. I also found out it was coming from my door speaker, checked the crossover boxes, they are fine. Ive only noticed this noise coming from drivers front speaker, i changed the wring in the amp to the spare set (rear right) (rear; dunno y the back two are paralleled into left rear; like this when i bought) temporarily, and it worked fine. Then those terminals also played up, so they are now temp paralleled with the left fronts. So atm all my speakers are left. Which is no good for my speakers. Is the problem in the amp, or could it be the wiring. If amp can it be fixed without buying a new one?? Cheers, Julian

Got a low down today, was thinking of using basti's diagram, but if an led blows it throws more voltage across the other leds, hence they will go one be one. If that resistor plays up it will cut of supply to all. so im gonna put a resistor in front of each led. Was gonna try set up white leds in the middle of each letter and connect to a relay for when reversing only, neone know how this could be achieved.

Some of it's a little over the place for me. So here's how it goes. I will hopefully be receiving my s1 garnish soon after battles with others on eBay etc. Making the board...what is needed? Can i just parallel the leds with each other, (led in series with resistor) and have the parkers power through each side of the leds? (Als diagrams looked like it had diodes in it???) how do u secure the board? Painting...would the led shine through the paint? ppl have said to paint it black but if i put a coat of white and clear on the letters only will it shine through good, or shit? Only a thought. How does the old one get removed?? Cheers.

also a drivers side windscreen wiper, it's plastic and my other is metal. There is no such thing as an import wreckers around here.

Ive posted this in the for sale section about a month and a half ago. Basically im looking for a clear s1 rear garnish that says skyline. Im also looking for a GTR wing (white prefferebly) with led brake lights for an R33. Im also getting led taillights but want to do all in one hit, as there is alot of wiring for the sound system in the boot and would only like to pull it out once. (yes it would also happen if i get a flat but i hope it doesnt happen). Im living in rockhampton (Central QLD) and hoping to be able to pick up as it would be easier as i have no idea how to get something posted of the size of these items. But if you have these items for sale give us a post and we'll see what we can do.

one of my mates had this badge stolen from his vehicle, priced it, was 200 dollars to replace...i filled the keyhole in and threw some silicone behind it now it doesn't move. if the release does play up one day it should be able to be cut out. Seen a skyline that pissed it off complety and just installed a standard key lock. Heard of people wanting to shave em of but it looks too plain. But the badges vary. Mines sorta shiny still clean i guess, mates S1 has the same but a little darker, and seen a skyline the same as his with the black badge.

Go for it if you want to spend the money, i seen one in town once, black s2 C.F bonnet and C.F drift wing...looked hot. Im not a fan of them on white. Its such a clean colour y throw black on it. If i was to get a custom bonnet on my car it would be vented and white. If i was to paint it gold (like i want) i would prob go C.F.

Well i already have bog and polyester filler, but what is a chop mat? And with the front am i only sanding the cracks or the whole area? With underneath, one side has overlapped to the top of the other side, just bend it back in the way it cracked? And placing these mats does it go inside the crack or on top inside? Not sure where ur saying to put them. Thnx

Nah im in central queensland. Here's the photo of the damage. I'd rather fix the damage then let it build up cuz i have only had the car 2 and a half months.

Well yesterday I took my skyline out of the driveway (of 3 to choose) that i normally take my very low vl out of (so thought id be fine). Went to take off, but my bumper was already resting on the ground. put a crack right through the bottom from front to back (ill get some pics up 2moro) and about 10mm up the front. doesn't look like a lot of damage, so just want to know how to go about fixing it. One side is resting over the top of the other, do i cut it out, through a sheet over the gap and refill with fibreglass fill? And with painting it, do u sand back the area b4 peforming the above option, and when dry how do you paint it? like with merging it to connect the paint! can it over lap and by how much etc. Cheers

Looking for GTR wing with led brake light to fit 40th anniversary series 2 gtst. Series 1 skyline garnish (that spells skyline, clear). Rear pods not sure what sort tho, and LED tail lights (dont think ne1 will want to part with these but if u know somewhere the cheapest). Also series 2 eyelids. Im in Central QLD, and my car is white but is not a problem if another colour, just want in fairly good condition.

sounds like thats the problem. or something similar, if it gets driven a little hard or high rev it occasionally dies. It happened on the bridge today, so i don't want to even imagine the worst place it could happen. Do you have a picture, or describe where it is, when it comes to turbo engines i don't really know my way around them.

This doesn't happen all the time but has happened 6 times in the last 2 months. 3 times in 5min. But ill just be driving listening to music and the car will just turn off, hold the clutch in and turn her back on she is fine, but i would prefer to stop this b4 i get hurt. Not sure what it has to do with, was thinking maybe immobiliser. Just wondering if this has happened to other skylines and wat can be done to fix it. My mate says it has happened to him once.

Paint it something different...CHROME, lol. Metallic Gold is nice, with carbon bonnet and chromes Or Metallic Cream, with chromes.

I don't understand y ppls have problems with neons, it adds to the effect when it in car show etc, rice? big subwoofers can be classified rice, Stickers? the same. BOV? people always yelling out and paying out the car cuz it sneezes so y have one? If you like neonz put em on, your choice, getting pulled over, cops choice. I'll prob put em on my car when she's all done up, just for show...won't be driving with them on.

Here's a Pic of my car, its only got the front bumper, but it looks good in white cuz its a light colour and the dark spots stand out, seen it on a burgandy and couldn't even tell to start. But go as much white as u can white looks clean so even white mags. i would but its money that i don't have to spend.

personally i cant tell the difference, but i haven't looked that closely at 4 door lights cuz there only 1 in town. What is the difference in lights? all i know is i had to buy a series 2 cuz i didn't like series 1 lights.

Im capable of making my own, i would actually enjoy doing it i just can't get a hold of a series 1 garnish. i can swap my mate but then i would have to paint my white one to burgandy to match his car. Ive seen one go for 30bucks on ebay, but i don't have an ebay account. does it only act as a brake light?? i was just gonna leave it normal lights, perhaps brighten when brakes applied...the cops shouldn't give a damn, cuz its a red light, (u can use a red underbody at the back as a brake light if u wanted to. amber for sides clear for front etc).
