that bonnet looks tidy....yeah well about the vents showing out more, that is what i wanted...as i have a 400r front bar, and the holes in it stand out alot more than they do on a black one... If anyone has a pic of a front 400r with a vented bonnet, it'd be appreciated if you could post it up. And bonnet pins? how do they work, would i need to get them if the bonnet was fibreglass?

How hard is it to paint carbon fibre? When you say copies? do you mean they are not light? Cuz there is no point buying a heavy carbon fibre if it is there for looks and im gonna paint over the top of it....

Hi was just thinking about getting a TS TYPE FIBREGLASS BONNET FOR SKYLINE R33 GTS-T...Don't really want to go carbon fibre cuz i'm going more for looks and i the panda look is not my thing; as it's a white car. Does anyone know where i could possibly purchase this item for lees than $695.00; seems to be the going rate. Also what happens with rain with vented bonnets...? and is a fibreglass bonnet any good. Heavier than normal? dents easy? etc. Cheers

Yeah i know what you mean. I just like square cars for some reason. I was looking at 34 gt-t and 32 GTRs i didn't really like the 33; the back of them looked terrible, so curvy. Thats y i got rid of the standard wing and bought the gtr one and got the led lights, just need a kit for the back and to finish my sklyine illumination. That wing that you have is the only one i like on the 34's if it's a coupe i faver them if its a sedan then not. Does anyone know any spots to take photos with sceneric backrounds???

Is it that big standing up that it hits the bottom of your speaker....or is it too tall for your cables to reach the terminals?

Hi i know this has been covered b4, plenty of times, but i can't find what im looking for...with the headlights, creating that brown/yellow shit, i read that it can be cleaned. I ran some polish over mine, cleaned them up they look shinnier not that they were that bad. But when the headlight is on you can still see the foggy crap. Now my question is, if i can get into the headlight and clean it from the other side will it permenatly damage the plastic...Cuz i don't know maybe it has like an anti fog on the back *bullshit; its not working if it does*....basically asking if i attempt this is it in the all clear. (Wanna get them clean b4 i make eyelids) Cheers.

Factory sunroofs aren't normally a problem, its the ones that get put in that are normally the problem. Changes the atmosphere sorta when your driving, i like it opened when it rains BUT the glass is still closed. Chris has the Altezza lights with the LED lamps in them, i never seen them on a car b4 but everyone that talks tail lights on this sight seems to say LED ones are alright, the Altezzas are shit...I seen them on and i think they look pretty sexy. Put the cars sidee by side and you'll tell the difference. As for going to the beach, i normally love to but, 20mins of driving and its starts squeaking really bad, like you can hear it over music, Control arm bushes rubbing.

That's one sexy 32, if i was to have one it would look like that.

Here's my ride, had it since December 2006, put about 7000 kms on it in this time, including the trip from Townsville, did come from Mt Isa though. Pretty much came how is, except the genuine GTR wing, and the LED taillights so far, just been repairing mainly. Haven't really driven it that much since August last year when the seatbelts gave way, then the stereo came out to do custom boxing, hasn't happened yet. Now the control arm is gone in the front drivers, got it replaced, this one was stuffed too. Now its just sitting in the yard cuz i need a new battery. It's the only one with the LED lights in town atm, there is another white series 2 with the same front bar, and a standard kitted series 2 white with sunroof...but i had to have both, if it didn't have the sunroof i was not interested, was looking at 34's but the were 27'000+ at the time. So i bought this 33 GTS-T 40TH anniversary. Maybe you'll c it out one day but atm i'll be in the cream VL Commy

Pulled out my boot this arve, as my battery went dead, when i had a look at the amplifier, one of the rca'shad fallen out. It has two going from the dvd box under my seat to the back then its got a splitter thing that changes it to four rca's one had fallen out so i guess that was the problem but i ran outta light b4 i could even get the battery in. Im hoping this was the problem...if it is fixed would it have caused much permanent damage? had it down low maybe for an hour.

Hi, ive just recently put my subs back in my skyline after having them out for about 4 months. I started pulling one box apart as im gonna make new ones, but thought i have no time to start it yet, so ive just put them back in for the time being. The one i pulled apart (put back together) is working fine, the other, i just had sitting on the concrete in its box; starts popping when i put any decent bass behind it....is there something in the head unit i should be looking at or the amplifier, or is my sub stuffed....i didn't really want to replace it as they are both Alpine R (400 a piece), and like anything that comes in a pair if you replace one you should do the other aswell. Does anyone repair, or are they a throw away item. Cheers.

Yeah front drivers. So what sort of bushes would i get cuz they don't make em to suit as far as im aware. They have a metal centre sleeve thing in em.

Hi, been a problem for a while now, and its given me the s**ts. So i just want it fixed. Took my chances buying a second hand upper control arm, was good for about a week then started squeaking, so i pull the bolt out of the bush and puts some grease on it,,,didn't help. It seems the bush moves in the metal ring, prob cuz of how much weight is actually on it. Just wondering if i go genuine, which was about 400 before it is even shipped from japan, and not inc gst. Or can i get aftermarket items. Because genuine will only do the same prob again after a while...Do i do front and back or just front? If someone could give me some info in this area it would be very much appreciated, as I'm looking at selling my vl before October, and that is my transportation atm. Thanks, Julian

Does it make the sound when you start driving it straight away??? I used to get a knocking noise from the front end (doesn't matter if i was turning because its the car going up and down), changed my upper control arm to a second hand one stop the clunking, now i got a squeaking noise which i believe is worse. Grab the frame of the car at the tyre well, and bounce the car up and down, do to both sides, if its making the noise, get someone to try pin point the noise while it is bouncing. I did this to mine, my bushes are stuffed on the arm, been like that since October.

Ppl have to understand that they are not cheap to make. I don't have a boost controller but, when we put a pressure gauge on the BOV it said it was running 10. Gapping plugs? as in spark plugs?

Think i might try this now....was just getting ready to start my boot, as the way it was set up b4 was a waste of space....cant be too much better as i have two 12" (alpine R)....wanna make as best as possible....where abouts do u get the fibreglass, from and how much do i need??? i bought a k and r touch up container, 500g for my bodykit and other little things but guessing this will not be enough, or is not the right stuff?? I will post up a photo of my fake floor this week (another idea if ppl want to try). I just used a big sheet of metal cut out to fit...is a little hard to get in but can be pulled in and out. IDEA: I want to keep the spare tyre in the car, but noticed they not always gonna stay up and dont want to remove the stereo to pump up the tyre. So ive made this fake floor, but cut a hole in the metal where the valve is on the spare tyre. I carpeted right over the top of it and cut out a pizza shape (8 triangles) so once u pump up the tyre and pull out it falls back in place...but its not gonna bother anyway. Put the two subs each side, mould them in NOW anyway Sit the boxes on the fake floor, and the distance between them will be a specific cut out between the subs to push them apart from to the wall; (fixing them, i believe this will be sufficent, correct me if im wrong) The middle part will be mdf with a piece of stainless in the guts surround by carpet, will paint the alpine symbol on the stainless...for show reasons i guess. So when i get a flat, unscrew the sub terminals, pull out the middle mdf, then the subs then the floor, then the tyre
