Hi guys ever since i bought my car (r33 gtr) it has always idle'd like it has larger cams. I thought it's just the way gtr's idle. few of my friends (some who have owned gtr's too) tell me i have upgraded cams due to the sound on idle. Ive changed afm's as i thought there was a problem, but nope still idles like this. Ive also just realised i had a bigger hks fmic. And my car also ran a 12.6 @ 110mph with only full exhaust and 1-2 psi more boost. Other than idle how would i be able to tell? thanks.

so is the stocker better for my power goal?

Had a mate looking at my car (r33gtr)cause he's never seen it before and he noticed i had a HKS cooler on it. i knew it wasnt a stock item but yea... HKS!! we measured it and its about 100mm thick. Now the question is will the HKS cooler out perform the stock gtr intercooler power wise? basically will i get more from my mods with this cooler than stock? initially i am looking for a power goal of approx 280 rwk on about 16psi. will i get more power on the same boost or not with this fmic? lag? what are your thoughts. here are my mods for anyone who asks: -7's @16psi wolf ecu full exhaust 540cc injectors nismo f/pump apexi pods. *injectors and wolf aren't in yet but will be soon. car currently on 12 psi* thanks

u shouldnt worry too much. my tuner told me it can be quite normal on cruise as the mixtures are lean already and by adding bigger turbos ( more breathing) it just leans out abit more on cruise. mine goes down to about 5 - 10% of the time now. i let my car warm right up before i drive it and i hardly have a hicup. i have my car on about 12 psi and its fine even if i put the foot down. dosent ping. As for my idle i adjusted the idler set to low and i dont have much idle jump anymore. 900-1000 again. I also just realised, well a friend pointed it out that i have a huge hks fmic on my car. (knew it wasnt stock but woo hoo HKS!!)Could this be causing some of my hiccups on cruise too? Also abit off topic but would the HKS cooler i have now make a noticable difference on overall power compared to the stock R cooler?

Hey all sellin my beloved 20 inch wheels due to less bling and possibly selling my car in the near future so im gettin rid of my wheels. they are 8.5in wide in the front and 9.5in in the rear. Black and very big dish. Offset is +20, they dont protrude out of the guards. I am running 255 wide tyres on the rear and 245 fronts. Tyres are in awesome condition and have 90% tread. One of the front rims has some gutter rash due to a parking incident (lol)-can be easily fixed for under 80 bux! Paid over 3k for these only a few months ago. Selling for 2400. I may be able to budge on price but not much, only serious buyers, so dont offer me something silly. Can post interstate at buyers expense!! I am located in melbourne , west.
