what setup did you use dude? and more interestingly whats the setup in the gTR?

BY BY - If it is against ADR's or whatever to have something like an A-pillar gauge then how can it be engineered? Doesn't it need to comply by ADR's to allow it to be engineered? I am not sure how well the "well the cops have it" argument holds.... for example we've seen heaps of cop cars do illegal u-turns, park illegally, speed etc etc but its very difficult to use this in court. In the case of the defective WRX at least there is evidence but I think the best defense against getting a fine is some sort of certification such as engineer certificate (if that can be had for a-pillar gauge).

The series 3 continued to be built into the early months of 98 so it could still be built in 98. I'm not sure why you are checking up on it but if its because you think its not a genuine late model one then you can also check for all the other things that are on the series 3 such as HID's front lip, red stitching on the seats etc etc

Hi, I'm interested in front splits, rear speakers (possibly 6"..... do 6x9's even fit?) and an amplifier to power these. Later I plan to get a small solo-baric sub with a seperate amp...... but for the meantime this will do.... I guess having an alpine stacker (fm modulated at the moment) I will get an alpine headunit as well. I'm not looking to spend much money.... Was wondering what setup everyone has?? Cheers

Another thing I forgot to add is can you gfet defected for something the cops can't see...... say if the BOV's were down on either side of the cooler behind the mesh..??

Does anyone know where I can get my right drivers side mirror replaced? This is just the glass bit. I need this done for compliance and need the convex mirror changed to flat glass. Can windscreens o'brien or someone do this? Cheers

heaps of people are finding incredible deals which are too good to be true. Its really simple..... you get what you pay for. Thats not to say theres no good deals to be had ..... a friend's friend claims he can get an R33 GTR which simply needs a bonnet replacement and it has no wheels for $26K..... I'm suspicious.... why is it in this condition... it is coming from japan as well. Having said that the prices of GTR's are coming down and you can geet a r33 gtr series 1 pretty cheap but just be careful. And in regards to the orignal... get the R32 GTR.

So where can we get engineer approval for stuff?

I heard from a friend that after July cops will be able to pin you for 2 pts if you get a defect.... does anyone know if this is true? Since almost everything is defective these days is it possible to get engineers certificates or anything else to legalise any modifications such as airfilters, BOV's or whatever else you can get pinned for??
