Hey All,
Up for sale is my Tomei Forged 1998 Series 1 Nissan Stagea in KR4 Silver. I am the first and only Australian owner after having imported it through a broker in 2007.
The car was stock as a rock when it first came over, apart from some 17" TE37s and a Blitz Nur Spec Exhaust. Over the years I progressively modified it until it has become the monster it is today. Unfortunately for me, a very recent change in circumstances has meant that my partner and I only have room for one car, and so mine must go. As it stands I put the car in storage as of yesterday, and it won't be coming out until it has sold.
I have $30929.01 of new parts purchasing and installation receipts on hand from the last 14 months. Around $25000 of that cost was absorbed by a complete engine rebuild with Tomei components which is now just 4000 kms old. Over the 7 year ownership period I have spent over $50000 in modifications on this car, I built it to be a tough street sleeper, and future-proofed it to easily withstand over 450kW atw if and when I decided to upgrade. The bottom end consists of Tomei Pistons, Tomei Rods, Tomei Oil Pump with Jun Extended Crank Collar, N1 Water Pump, ACL Race Bearings and ARP Main Studs, Head Studs and Rod Bolts teamed with a Tomei Sump Baffle and an aftermarket Harmonic Balancer. The fully reconditioned head features Tomei Poncams and Supertech Valve Springs with Titanium Retainers and all the appropriate Oil Drain Mods. Hooked up to an externally gated GT3076R and running E85 through ID1000s, this engine has revved as high as 9600+ RPM on the dyno and 8000 RPM on the Street. The Tomei oversized Forged Pistons take the capacity up to 2556cc and the car runs 320wkw and 858Nm of torque after the first post run-in tune was completed 500 kms ago.
I am frustrated to have to let the car go at this point, but my loss is your gain.
Please take some time to have a look through the modification list, general information and pictures below.

As mentioned, the fresh engine has 4000kms on it. Almost every mechanical item has been replaced or reconditioned, I intended to drop something like a PT6266 on this in the future so I didn't cut any corners on the build. Make no mistake, this engine is a street monster and will happily rev beyond 8000 RPM. The Greddy Infomometer clearly shows the current Max RPM reached as being over 9600 RPM, and the thing sounds awesome up top I have dyno sheets for the 3 tunes I have had done since the build was completed. Initial run-in (0kms - 289kW @ 15psi), second run-in (1000kms - 309kW @ 19psi dropping to 17psi) and post run-in (3500kms, 320kW @ 23psi dropping to 17psi). The engine is laughing at this power level, but the turbo has predictably reached it's peak. All dyno runs were performed with Semi-Slicks on the Jaustech dyno, renowned as 'The Heartbreaker'. I simply can not stress how awesome this engine is and sounds, it was built for 450+kW with a bigger turbo and just begs for more If you have any questions about the build then please don't hesitate to contact me, and I'm sure the guys from Jaustech won't mind helping out with info either.
The gearbox and transfer case were pulled down last week and inspected and are in fantastic condition.
The engine runs on E85, and I will include two 20L Jerry Cans (empty) with the sale.
The chassis has 130000kms on it, not a problem to speak of. I replaced the front CV joints last year (right and left entire assembly) as the front left was showing wear. I upgraded the rear differential last week to a stronger viscous LSD. Everything else is in good working order.
Aesthetically, the car is in great condition for it's age. It does have the typical Stagea rust under the mirrors, and the front bar has damage on the lower lip. Whatever price the car is sold for I will refund $500 dollars to go toward the front bar repair. There is no point doing it now in case it gets damaged again in the meantime. I have always taken care of it, washed and polished on a regular basis, and it has managed to stay out of trouble in terms of accidents. It has a bit of normal wear and tear, minor scratches barely noticeable to the eye and a few small blemishes inside the vehicle, but nothing out of the ordinary. I will let the pictures speak for themselves
The handbrake mount will need to be addressed (a quick spot weld) as it has weakened over time, but the operation of the handbrake is not effected. There are some light scratches on the manual console trim, they were on it when purchased second-hand.
The car is currently registered until July and has never been defected. Most of my modifications in the engine bay have been painted black for the sake of stealth to help the car stay on the road, and so far I haven't had a problem. This really is a lethal street weapon, and makes a lot of noise when opened up
I am more than happy to provide receipts for the eventual buyer if need be. I work Fly In/Fly/Out so I can be hard to get a hold of, sms or email works best as sometimes I will be out of phone range for periods of time. If you are serious about the car I can organise a family member to meet for a viewing. There will be no test drives without a cash deposit of $5K, but I am ,of course, more than happy to take you for a spin.
I am after $22,000 ONO for this Tomei Built beast, I can assure you that it's worth every penny
Please have a look at the pictures below and let me know what you think!
Cheers,
harts.
