  1. agree gtrs look good but then they are the baddest looking 16" wheel ever invented IMO.
  2. modifying cars can be such an expensive process i can understand how people get stuck with some pretty suspect combos on their cars when the flavour of the month rims or kit suddenly becomes a major f**k up one year later and the money to fix it has dried up. I think thats why alot of people say its OK to do something different but subtle mods wont look like your dads sky blue disco suit a couple of years down the track. As for mechanical mods its just a case of doing your homework and trying to create something that you enjoy driving without getting stung too bad by the police and dodgy workshops.
  3. im not in vic but my 2c - worst looking ever AU XR falcon is ugliest (bi plane spoiler anyone?) - biggest try hard car is the 300C with 22"s wanabe rap gangsta mobile.
  4. final konnexion front is cool (wish i got one now) and i agree with your reasoning on the setup and tune, drivability and reliability should be just as important as output in a car that is going to be doing kms on the road.
  5. This is awesome love the wheels and the chin spoiler. looks cool in black.
  6. nothing wrong with putting a bigger turbo on the 20 just get ready for some serious LAG followed by lots of wheelspin.
  7. my 32 gtst *new to gladstone*
  8. not sure but...you may need the ecu from a 34 or some piggyback computer on the 32 to get the best from the varible cam timing on the neo. i have the 32 ecu with SAFCII, neo head and 30 block seems to work OK but it depends how much drivability/reliability/power you want.
  9. cheers mate. hopefully i wont be on nightshift and will be able to have a look.
  10. just moved to gladstone anyone know when the benaraby drags is on again. interested to have a look when a import friendly event is on.
  11. i kinda liked the gameover ad campain. 'go better' sucks. but then something tells me SAU forum dwellers are not the audience GM is targeting.
  12. professors definitly give it some street cred, x2 on black mesh. cool seats.
  13. they are anti hoon seats designed to make you to scared to go fast.
  14. this is what i have also heard from mates who work in refineries. This is especially true when parts of the refineries are temporarily shut down for maintenance or upgrades.
  15. im pretty sure the fuel you get at your servo is dependant on how close you are to the relavant refineries in your area, anyone reading this thread got some inside knowledge of the industry or supply chain involved? in brisy we only have two refineries BP and caltex so how do shell and mobil fuels get here?
  16. all modded rbs are different and so are peoples goals best thing is to check the thread on your specific engine RB25 that have setups and dyno results only i personally have .63 on a 3 litre and yeah its restrictive and doesn t have huge top end but excellent response and good torque suit drifting. Also lower revs = more durable.
  17. If you have 15-20k you could get it built but like alot of people have already mentioned if you know what to avoid and you do relevant checks you may be able to buy a converted 32 already done by someone else and save a sh*tload. big power 26 engines with killer top end at higher revs suit 4wd drivetrain IMO, im pretty biased on this but other setups rb25 or 30 with lower power but more torque are more usable on the street and cost less to buy. When you think about it the only time you'll get to put you foot down for more than 5 secs is going to be at a track in a controlled enviroment anyway. 26 in a 32gtst not worth it.
  18. R32 Gtst RB2530 with VVT VL block with line tapped in for VVT Stock RB25det head Forged pistons Stock exhaust manifold 3" exhaust Greddy inlet plenum Tomei fuel pump Stock injectors .63 exhaust internal gate (T04E) turbo RB20 ECU+SAFCII 600x300x50 FMIC 25 gearbox + HD clutch 270rwhp@15psi Torque monster pulls from 60kph in fourth, nice off boost reponse.
  19. as a fellow 32 gtst repowerer can i ask what is the current compression ratio of this beast? also beware the wet road
  20. watching the old top gear episodes on you tube its pretty easy to to see how the shows increasing success has changed the content. You will be waiting a long time to see clackson compare a 10 year old tuned car against a new model these days. At least we can look forward to watching the new 35gtr spank some euro ass.
  21. what wheels are those on the white 32, also what size/offset they suit it perfectly.
  22. have you put it on a hoist to check the slave on the gearbox for leaks? im having the same drama myself and im not sure if its a leak or because im using a 25 gearbox with standard master
  23. symmonds plains has such a high entry speed into the kink before the first corner seems to really sort out who has the skill and also the nuts. love to be in the passenger seat on one of those runs.
