Caprica. One hell of a pilot. I surely hope this show gets confirmed. Its bloody good... For those that never followed BSG, give "Caprica" a look in 10 days time when it becomes freely available (or just download the torrent) Rarely do we get shows that have such a grade production quality with really good sci fi writing.... and Im not talking the utopian Startrek crap, BSG/Caprica is about as character driven and realist as u can get... (well bar space above and beyond but hey it only lasted for one season ;( ) -D

Clisby auto electrician on Main North road (near Main North Nissan) did pretty good work on my car. I reckon they'd easily be able to fix the aircon esp if you could print out the howto guide and give it to them (I did that fix myself) Give em a go -D

So in other words, you're letting your personal grievances affect your opinion about the viability of a club, composed of (hopefully) many other people? Thats really mature.... I also wasn't under the impression that organizing dinner is the benchmark for showing interest... So again this comes down to personal bias... I seem to recall Luke(ENR34) being at the meeting last wed, he has organized quite a lot of stuff, including orders from japan. I can attest to that, having bought interior trims from his japanese source. And I doubt that it'll be just him involved. So you're pissed off that people didn't come for your bbq and salad and that somehow means the club isn't going to get members? O-kay. -D

I've said before I'm not putting my hand up for anything except trying to get it started. I'm not telling you to hush but the last 3 posts you made had absolutely nothing constructive.. i personally would prefer you to paste your two paragraphs, so we can address it instead of hiding behind 'what ifs' luke, I do plan on pushing an agenda for the track warriors at the bbq, such as getting the cams licence (as i posted above)... and driving courses - group buys if you will at the least. my work prevents me from having anything approaching a regular schedule but I can't commit - thankfully there are others who have stepped up to the plate. I already have an idea to nominate someone as Public Officer. One thing that disturbs me....if you guys are saying that you would have supported the previous endeavour, then why not now? Have you got something against the interim comittee, or is it genuine pessimism ? If neither, then what? What is so different? You guys are expecting us to be saying what is and isn't going to happen - thats entirely what the BBQ is about. To exchange ideas and see what everyone wants out of it. Rome wasn't built in a day, and its entirely unreasonable for you all to expect that any one of us trying to get this going has any definitive answer about what is and isnt going to happen - it all depends on you, and if you think its worth a damn. cams licencing will be a big priority as will motorkhana/mallala skid pan/track days and dare I say AIR if/when it re-opens would also be organizing defensive driver courses and more advanced ones for the cams holders. heslo threw up an idea about this up last year and there was a fair amount of interest, it just didnt follow thru at that time since it was nearing xmas. be patient. if you see "a few people wanting to create a club for the sake of creating a club" then tell us at the meeting what in your view would constitute a good club. Or even do it here if you have commitments, tho judging from your earlier statement I'll be looking forward to seeing you at the bbq -D

theyre not bad if you shop around and get a quote before you call them. they initially quoted me $120 for a speedo cable and nissan was charging $120 for them new, so they decided to sell me the second hand one for $70 (iirc). just get your own mechanic to put the stuff in. much more peace of mind -D

Similarly I got let off once when I had an expired licence... I'd forgotten all about it.... cop had pulled me over for licence, rego and bretho test and when he saw that it had expired on the first of january, he gave me 7 days to get it renewed (it was a saturday i was pulled over and i renewed it the monday)... good bloke imho everyone gets caught out occasionally, sometimes u get a nice guy, other times you get someone having a bad day -D

Maybe we should put a $20 entry fee to buy one single share of the SAUSA club, entitling the member to one single vote. it might come to that, but in these early days I'd prefer to see people come down and buy an overpriced sausage at a BBQ.
