i always thought it was amusing that alcohol and cigarettes accounted for a substantially larger ratio of deaths than every other drug in existance COMBINED no matter what they argue, the government condones alcohol and cigs because they earn a significant more profit over the cost of treatment for it and the effects of society... if they could tax weed (aka if they could enforce a law that would stop people growing dope) then they would earn a shitload of money from tax, and the population would be stuck in couches eating snack foods and playing consoles or watching dvd's... no violence whatsoever... thing is they cant even stop people growing ganja with the very strictest rules... and you note that places like california have reversed their prohibition and have medical marijuana thing is, no matter the drug, you cant outlaw it. it just pushes the profits into the hands of gangsters (like prohibition 1920's etc) bill hicks the comedian had a great skit where he went off about making nature illegal... he was talking in context of psychodelic mushrooms, which he thought was 'sent from god to speed up the evolution of the human race" (direct quote) and juxtaposed his closing with the argument - "Doesn't it seem to you that making Nature illegal is Un-Natural ?" Not advocating anything - thats for everyone with their own brain to decide. And thats why I argue for civil liberties, because I hate having a hypocritical government that is quite happy to take my tax dollars when I go out and kill my liver, but if I smoke a joint then I'm a criminal. $0.02 -D

Indeed, I've already made a donation.... but I appreciate Deluxes post and viewpoint and I believe that before too long all his questions will be answered I wont say any more because at this stage I just want to see a basic structure made, and enough cash raised to establish the thing, then set a reasonable annual fee and a truly democratic structure.... I think its in the best interests of the club that everyone on the organisation committee (me, others, etc) exclude themselves from the nominated positions to ensure transparency... because a lot of you guys out there think that we're doing this to start a personality cult or something else (I've heard some bizarre points lately so you'll excuse the theatrics)... its all good, we're going to run it by the numbers, note down everything and everything will be done via ballot. i'm going to advise that after the first 3 months there are elections for new committee and afterwards it'd be done on an annual basis however, thats just my personal agenda. if anyone else has anything constructive that they think we should be aware of, please do post. The keyword is constructive criticism (which many of you have given us some excellent ideas so far, so thankyou guys!) but comments like 'your ideas r teh sux' will mostly be ignore unless they are followed with an argument as to just >why< they suck -D Edit - Would just also like to add - this isnt some clique. I'm not part of any weekly meets, and neither are many of the people who want to see this get off the ground. I just don't understand why ya'll are saying that it has anything to do with villis or bp meets aside from a couple of members being on the interim committee...(since I rather hate the location personally, i dont bother going most nights since its after work for me ;P)

I'd say its a coincidence. Mothers day is unfortunate, I would have come anyhow, and still do plan to attend the sat but thems the breaks. Can't cater to everyone - I myself didn't know there was a track day because I'm not really paying attention to that right about now. Once the club is up and running I'm sure the committee will endeavour to hold it at times compatible to the majority of cams schedules (bear in mind there are a load of events, sometimes a cams event may just coincide with a planned club event. these things do happen, but I can say that its in everyones interests that we keep cams days and club days separate (unless theyre in support of each other ) -D

yeah i understand the difference but seeing her rims I dont know that she really needs them... offset would be purely for looks I reckon (unless the brembos shes getting are as big as the AP racing calipers, in which case shed probably want tubbed/flared guards and humungous offset rims) -D

not by rule of thumb but most 9's have a fair amount of caliper clearance considering people often need the bigger rims to clear the big calipers/bigger discs... its a chicken/egg thing and ive seen her rims, theyre pretty bloody huge -D

yeah i just removed mine a couple weeks ago... the wheels look a bit better without them in my case... cara dont u have 19's ? surely that should clear the calipers? -D
