  5. meh. anything's got to be better than last time we went down to sorrento.
  6. i think the cup holder is not drift-proof
  7. i know. the drink will be on the back windscreen after the first 10 seconds anyway.
  8. if the tyres, etc are cold it will tend to do that. also if you are turning at the same time. i don't think i've ever seen mine go more than 10% (or whatever it's measured in) but on a gtr with n1 turbos, it always hit 50% that was awesome though but also his tyres weren't so good.
  9. how about the r33 gtr cup holder? let me know when you find it. kthxbye
  10. lol. +1 for headlights that don't turn off when you switch the ignition off. What's with that anyway? Safety feature? Bah. It's a conspiracy by battery manufacturers to sell more batteries!
  11. There are a lot of crazy drivers out there and the slightest thing ticks them off. I once “apparently” cut someone off while overtaking them… so he speed past me, gets back into my lane and literally stands on the brakes. He was driving one of those old beat up commodores with no abs and there was smoke everywhere. He stops in the middle of the road and blocks a whole lane, so I change lanes and drive past him and give him a stare. He ends up following me for the next 3-4 minutes driving like a real hoon and almost loses it around a roundabout. All I saw was smoke in the rear view mirror. I was pretty close to work and didn’t want him knowing where I work so I eventually stop and put my window down & he gets out and starts abusing me. I lose him at the next intersection, but was definitely a scary moment. I always drive really careful around old commodores now especially if they look like they’re modified or there’s a young guy at the wheel.
  12. actually, to clarify, the road rules actually say that you can overtake in the left lane, but only if the following are true: 1. Speed limit is 80km/h or less 2. There is no "keep left unless overtaking" sign 3. There are lane markings 4. It is safe to do so. On roads with speed limits above 80km/h it is implicit that you keep left unless overtaking On roads with no lane markings, you must overtake on the right Regardless, when turning right at an intersection you should always turn into the right-hand most lane unless the road markings indicate different I'm not commenting on what happened, just stating the facts as I read them in the vicroads handbook so we can all be better informed drivers. end of lesson
  13. sorry to go off topic, but... sounds like you've wired it up incorrectly or your head unit doesn't have the required output. My JVC head unit has one output for powered antenna and another for "remote control", which is hooked into the amp to power it on only when the stereo is on. The powered antenna output ensures the antenna only goes up when i switch to radio input. I did notice however that the previous owner joined both the antenna and remote control wires together, probably because the pioneer unit didn't have the required output for the antenna.
  14. put me down for sure! the meet point at Brandon park sounds good to me. Looks like this thing will be awesome
  15. okay, finally got my photos uploaded. Click here for all the good photos. Below are just a few small samples to grab your interest If anyone wants any full size pics of their car let me know your rego and I'll send what I've got to you (which is more than what I've posted on photobucket) Enjoy
  16. the only other time I know that the front wheels have kicked in (other than looking at the gauge) is if the road surface is rough (like some intersections) or wet and the front start spinning as well, sometimes you'll get torque steer and the car will jump around a bit. But i'm guessing that's not what you're experiencing, unless you've got a shitload of power and can spin it even in the dry
