well answered my own question, GTR speedo assembly does need a new groove cut, dont spend the money on the gtr pinion assembly GO THE NAVARA one guys, shaft is longer and therefore stronger when holding the r33 red cog in place..they both fit r33 box and both require a locating groove cut opposite factory groove.

up up up! stuff has gotta go! Also found an rb20det working ignitor module, $50.00

works!! =) standard 20 cog red wheel on r32gtr pinion assembly with r32 gts-t speedo cable works, just need to cut the groove 180degrees opposite to the factory groove =) accurate too!

quick question here, do you still need to cut a groove for the r32 gtr sendor (pinion assembly) as it is on the opposite side when inserted in r33 box?

quick question however it still appears u need to cut a groove 180degrees (opposite side of factory groove) of the gtr pinion assemply in order for it to bolt into the r33 box!?

im going to try the r32gtr speedo pinion assembly, swap r33 cog on..put in r32gtst cable..

they were on my old r33 and held up my boot with gtr wing reasonably well, from memory one side (LHS) was better than the other, they have been sitting now for about 1 yr so not 100% sure on condition
