  4. I did that on the way home from buller... drove the whole way under the limit.. overtook 1 car and BAM... busted... luckily the guy was a nice country copper and once we chatted about our mutual dislike for HWP he dropped it down to 119 for me.
  5. oh yeah and re evo... probably e7 best BFYB imho... 230awkw from just I/C piping, 8MR OEM turbo, fuel pump, full exhaust, boost solenoid and stock ECU flash. I have most stuff... just need the turbo and LICP and i'm ready to go, so far have spent about $500 (secondhand stuff)

  7. *checks phone* 2% *plugs in* THANKS RIC
  8. You used to be able to sell a debt without listing for a higher $$$ as the purchaser then had a carrot, however nowdays asic are tougher and we have to list wherever possible. From what you say you were probably not listed by GE but by someone that purchased the debt from them, who subsequently reinstated it as a product and then after about 150 days would ahve then listed it. From this point (would have been 08 or so) it will be a 5 year listing that was altered to settled when you paid it. That being the case you could probably get it reomved with some serious effort.... but if it's gone this year, dont bother and just wait. On your Veda file it will still mention that it was a GE product, but it will be through Baycorp or similar. Considering the time of the default, you are lucky they didn't sell it to ACM... those guys are ruthless! they would have reinstated the interest and imposed MASSIVE late payment fees etc (you would have been up for thousands)
  9. s13 / s14 is cheaper, cooler and looks better
  10. look at the time codes... you posted that as I was replying nice analogy birds you wouldn't have been better off... a savvy banker can see that you are a former b/rupt for life. also give me more details, if the debt was paid in full it should be listed as settled which is only a 5 year listing from the date of the initial listing, which should have been approximately 100 days after the product charged off (you stopped paying)... not the date of the settlement. I'd imagine it's either a mistake on GE's behalf and you were automatically listed twice, or you were listed for something else and you have assumed it's GE have as you know about that debt. Have you had a Veda report confirm it's from GE? if so PM me the results and i'll see what advice I can give as for your mate, I'd assume he didn't actually declare full b/ruptcy (Part IV) for $20k (while the minimum is $5k it is rare for amounts under $100k unless it's forced. It's more likely he either: entered into a part IX personal insolvency agreement, and paid back a percentage of the debt over time told the bank he was bankrupt when in fact he wasn't and the agency that bought the debt hasn't caught up with him yet had the debt written off due to some technicality he's not actually free and clear and if he tries to lend with someone that performs a credit check he will be knocked back it's been over 3 years and he was lucky enough to cop a lazy banker he has leant from a second tier lender that specialises in customers with debt agreements nope. Illegal to list for amounts under $100
  11. You can also be forced into b/ruptcy by a creditor, not to mention most people don't intend to go b/rupt, they have a situational change. Also if they cant afford it at application they wont get the lend (in theory) and laws are pretty strict on lending these days. Also don't forget it cost's money to declare b/ruptcy yup we do it all the time. It's more about appearance to other customers than the particular customer involved. If it got out that we would accept 20c / $ on the regular, then all that happens is that everyone offers 20c / $ with the mindset that we will accept it. Hence it's better to take nothing and let the cust go b/rupt and deal with the consequences, then take the higher offers from future b/rupt customers Not to mention travel restrictions, can't be a CEO, listed on NPII index as a former b/rupt for 10 years etc etc. and the real kicker... you major creditor has to accept your bankruptcy / insolvency request... we can still say no.
  12. fuark that thing must get the ladies HOT!
  13. it's possible as that's actually how drifteks are made from the factory, however you will also probably have to cut down the studs to suit. It's also worth noting that the excess heat from the cutting will compromise the already compromised structural integrity of the rims
  14. this discussion does remind me of working at autobarn... nothing, and I mean NOTHING is worse than a Golf GTi or Golf R driver. (mini cooper S would be a close second) Every day one of these flaming homo's would be in there dickbagging on about how fast their car is and how it needs special fluids from the VW workshop etc.... I used to take great pleasure in giving them shit... i'd always give them the cheaper of the appropriate liquimolly oils and say... "This one's will be fine for your golf, it's not like you drive a sports car or anything..." this would always be followed up with "It's a GTi. it's a turbo" to which I would reply, "yeah I know... that was my point, it's not like it's a powerful sports car that needs special oils... i mean if it WAS and you were doing track days etc you would wanna look at the 300v over there, but for your application the liquimolly will be fine..." then they would ask what I drive, to which I would simply reply with... "the 500hp skyline out the front" always followed by deadly silence, broken only by the noise of the cash register ringing up the overpriced liquimolly.... memories lol
  15. what are you smoking? 227hp is some sort of brick wall and if you push out 228 you will be watching conrods fly through the bonnet the first time you start it? It's pretty simple... if you talk about mods in stages, you have no idea what you are on about and are getting ripped off with overpriced, mostly generic tunes. It also means you are a gay and love the cock. VW's are no different to any other car, you can puch more power out of them but you have to understand that you are increasing the risk of catastrophic failure.
  16. yeah, they aren't huge.... if you are hungry you do really need to go 2

"Brother Burger and the Marvellous Brew" and it was shiteful... Merowyn's brother kept dickbagging on about how it's better than Huxta, so we caved in and tried it... @ $16.50 for a fkn burger I was expecting a LOT... and didn't get much
  22. which one? the smith st one is FULL of hipsters 24/7
