would anyone know if it has to do with the version, why there is no .dec option for the fc datalogit. when reading AFR values. i only see min max avg and num there is no dec. option i need to see AFR in dec. point like 12.1 not just 12 the point values ain't there please can datalogit users help in this situation . my version is 2.124 thanks.
-
i have a lm2 wide band hooked up to my FC datalogit. i'm getting a good reading from it the only thing is the reading is just single numbers and i need to see the point values like 12.3 not just the number 12 I tryed it in avg and num and nothing. i sent the output 0-5 volt to an1 and the ground to an2 from the lm2. i then set the values in the setup auxiliary to 0 volts to value 7.35 AFR and 5 volts to 22.39 AFR in an2 i left it the way it was. i got these setting from the lm2 manule. i need to fine tune my car at full load to about 11.8 AFR buy can't do it without seeing the point values. thanks guys.

sure have R31Nismoid thanks. on my s1 r33 i got the power fc first, then hks turbo kit I just thought you guy's may know of a better root to the upgrades. after all on the s1 i never consulted with any one. my guess would be tuning it first, at about 12.5 psi with stock turbo. this is what i have in mined nistune for tuning upgrade to z32 AFM fuel pump and regulator electronic boost controller FMIC blitz bov. use my LM2 wide band datalog and then retune the ecu for 12.5 psi hopefully this will beat the stockish s1's on the drag strip. Thanks again R31Nismoid and the hole SAU crew, when ever i slip you put me right.
-
intesting stuff guy's, cutting wire 53 hicas diagnostic / speed limiter wouldn't put the hicas light on.??????????? can any say what colors the wire is. so what upgrade would you recommend first ecu turbo etc.????????
-
thanks again mate. OK I'm convinced that the s2's comes with a speed limiter and me and my friend are lucky to have gotten our cars with it removed. in saying so, how can they remove the limiter from the ecu when I've red on this site that to do any kind of mod to the r33 ecu it would require using the r32 ecu and then chipping it or intalling a flash board and then using the nisstune soft ware to re-tune it. (after rewiring it to run on the r33) I have the nisstune software but still i need a r32 ecu and then, i would need to send it out to have a flash board installed then i would be able to tune it myself. Is there any truth to this.?????? can anyone explain how the limiter would be disabled.??????? what would you recommend nisstune or power fc ?????? what the best turbo upgrade for the money .???????? what aproach would you guy's take with a $3000 dollar limit (best power for the buck)??????? on my next post i will show pics of both cars. thanks again SAU you've been very help full.
-
thanks R31Nismoid My friend has a s2 as well, I've seen him take the car to 240kms with no speed cut, it has a 300km nismo cluster. I was just wondering if all s2 without the igniter pack would have this advantage. another thing i notice about the two is the both me and my friends s2 spit fire out the tail pipe whenever we shift gears the s1 don't do this as often . this is comparing about 5 s1 to 5 s2 and all the s2's spit fire out the tail pipe and all the s2 loose at the drag strip to the s1's i really find this odd. they win about 2 out of 10 races, all the car are all about the same. I would like to know if anyone ever compared injection and ignition maps from the s1 and s2 to see if there the same.??? or even check to see if both s1 and s2 AFM can flow more air than the other. (one has 4 wires and the other 3) there has to be a reason why there so prone to spitting fire even on normal driving. but i do believe in what your saying both are the same power/speed other than the speed limiter. i have tested the limiter my self first hand, thats why i say the s2's have no speed limiter. Can anyone else conform this.???????????
-
guys I've checked and theres just too much info on s1 and s2 the problem is that everyone talks about everything and not one thing. bare with me please. i just got a new gts-t s2 first thing i noticed is there is no speed limiter, the other things are like different AFM and plug TPS sensor igniter pack is not there was told its built in the ecu. coils are different. and so on i also have a s1 can the powerfc from a s1 work in a s2.?????????????? witch car is the faster car a s1 or a s2.?????? i have 3000 dollars to send on the s2 what would be your recommendations be on upgrades?????
-
thanks guys, the LM2 does have inputs for rpm and so on, but if i could have used the obd2 plug then i would be able to prioritize all my channels that i want to log. I took an output from the Lm2 for afr and send it to the power FC datalogit 0-5 volt extra input. after a get a new laptop that can run on external battery power as mine is mest up, i will do a log from the fc datalogit and post all results. That was my main reason for wanting to use the LM2 because it uses a 1g sd card for all logging purpose.
-
so how could i use this to log info using the lm2 wideband unit. does any one have some kind of addapter plug for this.????????????
-
Hi mate's i got the new LM2 wide band and it has a OBD2 log feature. i was first wondering if the 95 rb25det s2 is OBD 2 i think it is. and does anyone know of a plug adapter that can convert from jdm to American style OBD 2 plug. there is a plug by the fuse panel is that it.?????????????????
-
I guess the only there question would be why didn't the factory's use a wide band. thanks Mate.
-
Hi mates, So i understand when tuning with wide band i should turn O2 feedback off on the Power FC. on low loads the 02 sensor is there in closed loop for fuel economy full loads it's open loop. so if i wrote a inj map how does the cars ecu know how to regulate the AFR's ???????????????? if a narrow band is useless for tuning.
-
i would say yes to your question, just the plug on the tps sensor would have a set of wires that wouldn't be need (auto engine) manual motor only have wire for engine managment, but autos have another set for the trans.

Thanks paulr33. Just another question when it comes to the PFC ignition map. I found it to be pretty good, do you think i would be a good idea to advance each cell in small increments and keep an eye on the knock levels, as i left the ignition map the same. At full throttle i get a knock level about 15 -18 keep in mind the is with 93 octane gas. also i read your whole FAQ on the power fc. i like the rule of thumb that you mentioned about 12.0 at full loads, at minimal loads, light cruise, what would be the rule of thumb there. In very low loads would i make sense to go as lean as 15's or would this be a bad idea as there wouldn't be adequate fuel. most importantly how does the ignition relate to this. Is there a rule of thumb When it comes to ignition.. many thanks mate.
-
Yes i agree with you looking back at the graph i kept a Conservative tune with a leaner mix at low to medium low throttle. after there on i assumed that the turbo would be a full boost (12psi). so i took it to the limit that i think is safe 11.8. at full throttle the LM2 reads a AFR about 10.9 so I'm thinking if this is the real AFR i can lean it out even more at full throttle. what you think skylinekid. how would i approach a tune for drive-ability.??? i have a good idea about limitation and power but not cruising tune for down low or partial throttle tune. what would be you approach on this. should i turn 02 feed back off. ??????????????? I just can't get my head around it, if stock o2 is a narrow band then it can't tell the ecu how to manage the AFR ( for best power )so if i turn it off would it just reply on the maps alone. thanks mate.

Hi guys I finally used the datalogit and changed my injectors settings to 46% and a correction of 1.07 msec. and its running fine. i just finished writing a inj. map and it looks like this. 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.47 14.47 14.47 14.47 14.47 14.47 14.47 14.09 13.78 13.49 13.11 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.47 14.47 14.47 14.47 14.47 14.47 13.78 13.78 13.78 13.49 12.50 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.47 14.47 14.47 14.47 13.78 13.78 12.50 12.50 12.22 12.10 12.10 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.47 14.47 14.47 14.47 13.78 13.78 12.50 12.50 12.22 12.10 11.80 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.47 14.47 14.47 14.47 13.11 13.11 12.10 12.10 12.10 11.80 11.80 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.47 14.09 14.09 14.09 13.11 13.11 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.09 14.47 14.09 13.78 13.89 12.50 12.50 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.47 14.47 14.70 14.70 14.47 13.49 13.78 13.78 13.78 13.78 12.50 12.50 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.47 14.47 14.70 13.89 14.47 13.49 13.78 13.78 12.80 12.10 12.10 12.10 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 14.70 14.70 14.70 14.47 14.47 13.89 13.89 13.89 12.80 13.49 13.49 12.80 12.10 12.10 12.10 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 14.70 14.70 13.20 14.47 13.20 13.89 13.89 13.89 12.80 13.49 13.49 12.50 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 14.70 14.70 13.20 14.47 13.20 13.89 13.49 13.11 12.50 12.50 12.50 12.50 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 14.70 14.70 13.20 13.20 13.20 13.89 13.49 13.11 12.50 12.50 12.10 12.10 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 14.70 14.70 13.20 13.20 13.20 13.49 13.11 12.89 12.10 12.10 12.10 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 14.70 13.49 13.20 13.20 13.20 13.49 13.11 12.89 12.10 12.10 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 13.78 13.49 13.20 13.20 13.11 13.11 12.80 12.10 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 13.78 13.49 13.20 13.11 13.11 13.11 12.80 12.10 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 13.78 13.49 13.20 13.11 13.11 12.50 12.80 12.10 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 13.78 13.49 13.20 13.11 13.11 12.50 12.80 12.10 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 13.78 13.49 13.20 13.11 13.11 12.50 12.80 12.10 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 11.80 The car is crazy at about 4000rpms and rip the tires loose at 12psi in third gear. I'm now using everything I've learned on this site whit the datalogit and LM2 wide band to do my own tunes. Some added question would be. When using the datalogit and using this maps should i turn the 02 sensor feed back off. ???????????? Now on the dyno is it true that the tuner would advanced the time until torque drop off on N/A cars, but On turbo cars they would do this and look at the knock levels.????????????? My method of tuning is logging the AFR and RPMs and past one graph over the other and looking at how fast the RPMS rise. this is without a dyno. Keeping in mind that i always keep an eye on AFR and KNOCK and its a full throttle tune from 2500 rpms in third gear. Thanks guy's any thoughts would help.

Is it possible that a car will idle and run good, even at about 10psi, but on high boost and RPM sputters. Can this problem be the stock coils, even with HKS twin power.?
-
In the PFC there is a section for injection correction. i can't seem to fine good info on how this works or what benefits it has. why is it there.? In short can all of you guy's in your own opinion talk about how this works and relates to making more power.
-
Sorry mate, I just thought that my solution would be with the FC-Datalogit and people with the FC-Datalogit, would be a more direct subject title.
-
Does anyone know if the FC-Datalogit can go higher than +1.00 msec for the injector correction. The PFC hand held controller only allows me to go as high as 1.00msec I need to go to 1.07 msec with my correction. Thanks guys
-
Does any have an answer or somthing, please help. Ask a tuner. some one help me please.
-
thank paulr33 i sent him a pm do you know why the pfc can't go past 1.00 msec or can it .?

I just upgraded my injectors with some top feed SARD injectors. this is the values i used. This is the link for the injectors I have a R33 RB25DET http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm-low/Sard-800cc...-Top-Feed-13006 370cc - 800cc x 100 =46.25 i enter this in the injector screen of the pfc with a new correction of 46% for all injectors this i under- stand. 1.60msec - 0.528msec =1.072 msec THIS IS THE PART I GET LOST WHEN I TRY TO ENTER THE 1.07 MSEC THE PFC CAN'T GO THAT HIGH. IT GOES TO 1.00 THE HIGHEST. I HAVE A DATALOGIT BUT I HAVEN'T USED IT YET, IS THIS A PROBLEM AND IF SO WHAT CAN I DO.????????????????? PLEASE HELP ME GUYS.

What plug gap would you guy's run when using the HKS twin power on standard coils and splitfire. ? I'm using HKS Super Fire m-series plugs M45 and never touched the gap there number 9's heat rang. I'm planing on running 20 psi and up until i max the z32 afm. As for the coil i just orders the splitfire coils. thanks guy's
-
I used to be able to run 20 psi i checked everything and it seems fine, the only thing new is a 40 thow bore and built motor. with stock injector. so i just upgraded the injectors now I'm doing a data log with the new lm2 and datalogit software for the skyline gts-t. the whole set up has changed I'm using Kyle's 6boost top mount with a 44mm tial gate and gt35r turbo. the car is sputtering to red line I'm thinking the only thing missing is new coils. i have 280l/h sard in tank pump and still using z32 afm. it's night now so I'm going to sleep any ideas would help for the new approach tomorrow. thanks again guy's
