  1. Hi everyone, there has been a bit of a break since the last Tampered Motorsport track day, so it is about time to give you all the details of the next one. Monday June 8th, which is the Queen’s Birthday Public Holiday, is set to be the next Tampered Motorsport Track Day. As always we will have some people available to give you some tips and to help you get the most out of your vehicle. Entry Fee: $150 which includes Timing costs. Spectators are more than welcome, and there is no cost to come and watch. Also you can go for a ride in the cars but you must sign on with a Passenger indemnity first. Due to the amount of passengers at previous events our insurer has put a small levy on passengers of $10. You can just pay this when you sign the forms at the Scrutineering office. The day will kick off when scrutineering starts at 7:30am. You will need to do your paper work at the scrutineering office before you have your car checked. Please make sure you have removed all loose items from inside the car. YOU WILL NEED: Long sleeve and long pants of non flammable materials i.e. No Nylon AASA license which can be bought on the day for $50 (these last for 12 months) or CAMS L2S Closed footwear Helmet that complies to Australian Standards (has ASA or Snell Sticker) Car needs to be in a good condition, no oil leaks, no loose items in the car and battery secure. Good condition tyres Working seatbelt (give it a pull and make sure it locks) All people wishing to attend need to make payment to the specified bank account. When you send your email with your details you will be sent an entry form as well as payment details. You will need to email the following details Forum Username or Nickname: Full Name: Email Address: Mobile Phone Number: Car Make & Model: Capacity: Previous best time at Winton: Forum/Workshop/Car Club that you are a part of: SO IF YOU ARE WOULD LIKE TO COMPETE EMAIL YOUR DETAILS TO [email protected] Cheers Adam
  2. I sell OMP gear. www.tamperedmotorsport.com Don't have much on the site yet, but we are getting there.
  3. No I am not actually, becuse I had to go down the path of an ECU at some stage anyway, it just means i have to do it now. I have decided on a Wolf V5, should arrive next week. My mate is going to tune it and should be no more problems.
  4. I have checked all the hoses, and checked the fuel as well. One of the members PM'd me with a suggestion it could be that the stock ECU can not handle the coils. I have a mate who does a lot of dyno tuning investigating an ECU. Any suggestions? Haltech, Wolf?
  5. Hi everyone, I have been member of this forum for a while now, but have only recently (6 months) had a R33 Skyline. I had a lot of issues with spark after I got it, so I went down the path of putting 6 Bosch Coils on a mounting plate, and ran 6 high quality bosch spark plug leads to each spark plug. I made up the loom and checked it time and time again. When I stated the car for the first time after this mod, it ran and idled fine, I didn't rev it because it was late at night. The next morning I started it up and it was running with a slight miss. Then I drove it about 1km and it stopped, and won't start again. When I try and start it winds over three or four times then it gives a kinda kick, like it is firing out of order. I have checked the loom I made it is wires into the module plug in the order of 1 5 3 6 2 4 now this is the same as the firing order so I am assume I have this correct. All of the coils are putting out spark, all the leads are on the right way. I have checked everything and double checked and can't find anything wrong. I even moved the crank angle sensor back and forwards to see if it would make a difference. What I am considering is that I am thinking it is something I have done wrong, but it might not be. Possibly an Air Flow Meter has died or a fuel pump. I am booked into to do a track day in the Skyline on March 28th at Eastern Creek, so I am desperate to sort it out before then. If it was my good old Falcon race car I would fix it in a flash, but the Skyline is a whole new world to me at the moment. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Adam
  6. HI everyone, unfortunately it didn't go ahead, lots of people were keen to enter but that didn't equate to entries. Once a date is decided for 2010 it will most certainly be announced and we will be working hard to ensure the event is a success in 2010. Meanwhile there is a 6 hour at Winton if anyone wants to have a crack at that!
  7. Well I have entered 2 teams into the event now, how are guys and girls going with your teams??
  8. Thats correct, its not that bad really. I have seen 40 Formula Vees on the track there at once. At the Winton 6 Hour last year there were 43 teams, and not one car to car contact. It is not racing for sheep stations, everyone has to watch their mirrors and pass without embarrassment. Well if its wet that means there is water on the track. Seriously though, if it is raining then it is the same for everyone. Drive responsibly and everything is ok.
  9. If there is 20 teams entered there is only 20 cars on track. In practice you can still only go on the track if you have the sash, one car per team on track at any one time. Cheers Adam
  10. I got a Silver one, which was number 46. I also have 2 Red ones, a Green one, black and red, white, and a blue one
  11. Well first of all I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years break, now it is time to get back into the motorsport action with a Tampered Motorsport track day, at Winton Motor Raceway. The last day was extremely successful with everyone enjoying the change of the short track and excellent BBQ lunch that was provided. The next Tampered Motorsport day will be on the long circuit and will be held on Monday January 26th, which of course is the Australia Day Holiday. Entry Fee: $150 which includes Timing costs. Spectators are more than welcome, and there is no cost to come and watch. Also you can go for a ride in the cars but you must sign on with a Passenger indemnity first. 12. I have my team entered now, Team number 1 - well first team entered anyway. I am planning on running my R33 GTS-T as long as everything goes to plan. I hope you guys and girls put at least one team in, it should be a great event!!
  13. Hi, Adam here from Winton Raceway, but sometimes Wakefield The entry forms are not quite on the website, but will be within the hour. I planned to compete in this event at Winton in 2008 in my R33, but didn't quite have it ready, instead I raced in my Falcon and I must say that it is one of the better events I have competed in. I am planning on running a team of Daewoo's in the 2009 Wakefield 6 Hour. Its all a lot of fun and I highly recommend the event!! I hope you guys get a team together, it would be great to see you out there. Cheers Adam
  14. Christmas is fast approaching us, so at Tampered Motorsport we decided to have a get together to celebrate. The Tampered Motorsport Christmas Track day will be on the short track at Winton, which will be a new experience for a lot of people. It is a whole lot of fun, and it probably suits the lower horsepowered cars. Personally I can't wait, it has been a really long time since we have used the short track. Entry Fee: $160 which includes Timing costs AND lunch at the Christmas BBQ for 1 person. ANYONE ELSE WHO WANTS LUNCH IT IS $10 PER PERSON AND MUST BE PRE-BOOKED Spectators are more than welcome, and there is no cost to come and watch. At this stage the day will be limited to 60 places, with 5 groups of 12 cars and entries are accepted in order of receipt. We may extend this to accomodate the interest.
