I recently acquired a second hand powerfc and want to install it myself before taking it to be tuned. I want to make sure its returned to the base tune before starting the car and going throught the idle self learn procedure. How long does the ecu hold the previous tune for? I also got a hand controller so i can reset it with that but i dont know how. Any help appreciated guys. -rb25

I bought the type s kit new from nengun in japan for about 1320 delivered and taxed. Although mine is an r33 im sure fitting and r34 kit is much the same. It was really easy, the only hard bit was cutting the hole in the guard and the bar cutting but if you have the right tools its an easy job.

i need an oil change too. might just get gav to quickly drop it before tuning on wednesday. james: powerfc question. will the second hand one i have here still have the tune in it? i wanna install it myself. how do i reset the thing with the hand controller.

look exactly like the k & n ones anyway. my hand controller has this 'shit' spattered all over it. i used some autosol on it and it improved but it looks like its burned in what ever it is. hardly see it now anyway.

might get a new pod filter soon. i looked at new ones today (exactly the same as mine - cheapass one from autorice) and they look a hell of a lot better than mine. mine has turned a really dirty red colour.

im also removing ANY rice on my car, that being the nismo sticker on my bootlid. this old guy at work always says "hows nismo goin". i mean geez.... i think of lauren when he asks that. lol

im making a new CAI partition this arvo. also fixed this mad squeak/vibration after i installed my fmic. forgot a headlight bolt
